There's no money, there's no possessions Only obsession, I don't need that shit Take my money, take my obsession I just want to be heard, loud and clear are my words Coming from within man, tell 'em what you heard It's about a revolution, in your heart and in your mind You can find a conclusion, lifestyle and obsession Diamond rings get you nothin' but a life-long lesson And your pocketbooks stressin' You're a slave to the system, workin' jobs that you hate For that shit you don't need It's too bad the world is based on greed Step back and see Stop thinkin' 'bout yourself, start thinking' about There's no money, there's no possession Only obsession, I don't need that shit Take my money, take my possession, take my obsession I don't need that 'Cause everything is nothing And emptiness isn't everything This reality is really just a fucked up dream With the flesh and the blood that you call your soul Flip it inside out, it's a big black hole Take your money burn it up like an asteroid Possessions, they are never gonna fill the void Take it away and learn the best lesson The heart, the soul, the life, the passion There's no money, there's no possession Only obsession, I don't need that shit Take my money, take my possessions, take my obsession I don't need that shit Money, possession, obsession Present yourself, press your clothes Comb your hair, clock in You just can't win, just can't win And the things you own, own you No! I used to listen to this song 24/7 when I was a little twit. XD
Cringe past me in the most unexpected places
No matter how many years pass by. This is a fucking great song! The lyrics are so powerful!
Straight up anthem material
Hm do you pay attention to the. Lyrics is it only a song our are they telling you something?
@@Policiakakkuveria brah, you have no idea how much these lyrics effect my life! Thanks for the attention..
I fully agree i could listen to this song all day
2024 and everything rings even more true today than it did when it came out.
Soon to be 64, still listening to Papa Roach in March 2024.
That's awesome.
Man, I fucking loved this when I was 12. And now, I wonder why. Oh why.
RobotSucré You don't have any reason to be here then, its sad how someone can come to a video just to say how bad they are, let's here your music sayin you're so great
Where did I say I made music, and where did I say I was good at it? Deal with it, dude. I don't like this song anymore. Boo-fucking-hoo.
that's the point, you don't so you can't come here and say they are bad. Well you don't have to come and hate on the band, you are wasting your time coming here just to say that
So wait, non-musicians can't critique music? lol, kay.
RobotSucré here's a critique for you, your taste in music sucks.
I remember listening to this on repeat whilst smoking with my school mates and we all thought we were so cool.
Fuck, I miss those stupid days..

‘Diamond rings give you nothing but a lifelong lesson’ - when I was teenager I thought the line was funny, but after 20 years it hits completely different. Amazing song.
no other song spoke more truth than this.... it is a MASTERPIECE
Someone played this for me , in 2004. Been a fan since then
There's no money, there's no possessions
Only obsession, I don't need that shit
Take my money, take my obsession
I just want to be heard, loud and clear are my words
Coming from within man, tell 'em what you heard
It's about a revolution, in your heart and in your mind
You can find a conclusion, lifestyle and obsession
Diamond rings get you nothin' but a life-long lesson
And your pocketbooks stressin'
You're a slave to the system, workin' jobs that you hate
For that shit you don't need
It's too bad the world is based on greed
Step back and see
Stop thinkin' 'bout yourself, start thinking' about
There's no money, there's no possession
Only obsession, I don't need that shit
Take my money, take my possession, take my obsession
I don't need that
'Cause everything is nothing
And emptiness isn't everything
This reality is really just a fucked up dream
With the flesh and the blood that you call your soul
Flip it inside out, it's a big black hole
Take your money burn it up like an asteroid
Possessions, they are never gonna fill the void
Take it away and learn the best lesson
The heart, the soul, the life, the passion
There's no money, there's no possession
Only obsession, I don't need that shit
Take my money, take my possessions, take my obsession
I don't need that shit
Money, possession, obsession
Present yourself, press your clothes
Comb your hair, clock in
You just can't win, just can't win
And the things you own, own you
No!
Take my money, take my possession, take my obsession
I don't need that shit
Fuck your money, fuck your possession
Fuck your obsession, I don't need that shit
Money, possession, obsession
👍
