I get what you're saying but they were bassist and drummer. The two closest members in most bands. So hardly foreshadowing, just that as fate would have it, one would pass away 6 years later and the other 11 years after.

In my opinion, this is one of Slipknot's BEST VIDEOS EVER. Every camera angle and shot is so well done, even what's going on in the background with the band members just jamming the fuck out. Im a Japanese girl. I’m not a huge fun of metal music but I love Slipknot’s music. The melody is so cool and powerful, and the lyrics are not just violent or superficial, but have meaning. This song has a special place in my heart. This was my uncles all time favourite song and band. He passed away due to losing a battle with lung cancer after being diagnosed 5 months before his death. My uncle got me into Slipknot when I was a kid and I remember he’d always jam out the Volume 3 album all the time when I went to his quite regularly. I have his Slipknot CDsand his other metal albums in a glass cabinet with his name on the cabinet to keep them as a memory for my uncle. I love and miss you always Uncle ❤️
The fans nowadays will have no idea what it felt like to watch this video for the first time and seeing glimpses of their faces. This was the closest we got to seeing them without their masks up until that point, and it is such an iconic and memorable point in Slipknot history.
This is objectively their “best” song. Not the heaviest, fastest, angriest, whatever else. It follows a pretty standard pop-rock song structure while still making a person want to commit property crimes. It’s THE song to introduce someone to Slipknot.
D Logic I think ya could make a valid argument for either. I think BIF edges out Duality only because some people might not care for the rap delivery of the verses in Duality; I also think the verses, sonically, aren’t as powerful as the verses in BIF: the SHOUT-speak of BIF grabs and holds the attention better. However, I think the breakdown in Duality (“All I’ve got it INSANE”), though simpler, comes across stronger than the breakdown in BIG (“My end justifies my means...”)

Slipknot this song makes me cry from all the pain I hold in but it also gives me strength to persevere through the shit because I’m stronger than whatever the fuck I’m feeling. I love you guys. @Troubler of Israel yeah Paul died from an kver does of Fentanyl and Morphine and Joey died from some underlying health complications. I had read that he had some serious alcohol problems after being let go from Slipknot. I'm not 100% on that though.

Man. When I first got into slipknot hearing this in Guitar Hero 3 as a kid I was hooked instantly. Then I listened to All Hope Is Gone, their self titled and was amazed and then Iowa and couldnt believe how much it changed my life although vol 3 is my favorite album. Forever one of the greatest bands in metal ❤

This was the most mysterious music video ever for me. Slipknot wore masks all the time, as long as you weren’t following Stone Sour before this time. When I saw this video in like 2005ish at like 6am, before school, on fuse, I was so excited to see hints of their faces here and there. It was a sense of wonder. It was true excitement at that time. To see that these dudes are human was new found knowledge to me. Are they still human though???
