"Somewhere between happiness and sadness, I need to calculate what creates my own madness. I'm addicted to your punishment and you're the master and I'm waiting for disaster".
I remember loving papa roach as a teen, but I never realised how good a vocalist Jacoby is. His range is ridiculous! Those highs at 2:12... Daaaaaammmmnnnn
Saw them live a few days ago and just WOW. Jacoby kept the energy UP through all these years. 💯 You can just tell they've been in this game naturally and LOVING what they do
Papa Roach wasn't my favorite band back in the day. But now as an adult I can really appreciate their lyrics and energy moreso than as a kid. What I wouldn't give to have music like this back on the radio...
anyone else first hear this song because of the original Xbox game MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf? it was my first introduction to papa roach. I remember inserting the disc just to hear the song play then pop it out and close it again to have it play again. absolutely blew my mind when I was 7 years old. and to this day Papa Roach is still my favorite band to see live. 10/10
Music still is good, you're just being lazy and not even trying to dig and find the good stuff. It has always been this way, even when this came out people didn't just instinctively find Papa Roach.
This was the best band I ever saw live. Jacoby is pure frontman energy from start to finish, If you're on the fence about seeing them live trust me, it's an experience.
Papa Roach, Hinder, Sum 41, HIM, Green day, AFI, Good Charlotte, All The American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Three days Grace. :'D those were the days.
I am a 90's kid born right in 1990 in Leipzig, Germany. My Mom bought me the album LOVEHATETRAGEDY when I started skateboarding when I was 9, immediately I was hooked on this type of music. Love Papa Roach !!!! It added up to Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, System of a Down and Slipknot it all happened when I was 9 years old and on my 10th birthday my Mom bought me the selftitled album from Slipknot (1999) and the way was paved for me. Today I listen to Slaughter to Prevail and stuff but every once in a while I come back to the old school shit and I love it. Makes me nostalgic. So yeah I am with ya !
PRoach is awesome. Then. Now. Whatever. Jacoby is one of the most talented people to ever grace this planet, a hell of a nice guy to meet, and an amazing performer
Saw them at rockfest in Missouri about 7 or 8 years ago. One of the few rock bands that sounded almost the same live as they do on radio. And they didn't just go on set and do their job, they rocked the fuck out and had the audience going nuts!!!
@Mayhemzz absolutely real talk man. Amd everyone was actually looking at me like is she gonna kill us here soon lmao 🤣 I dressed rocker type killer back then so who could blame em 😂
This song brings me bitter/sweet memories. I love and missed listening to it. My favorite part is when Jacoby says "and I'm addicted to your punishments."
I've always loved Papa Roach's band and music. Some times, I'm always getting detoured and forget about what I was going to do, (human error). Then, every morning when I watch the news and see how the NYSE is doing, I remembered Papa Roach's song "Getting away with Murder."...Please don't misjudge or misunderstand me in my comment.
I was 9 years old going through 4th grade(2004). I was so hyped when I heard this song on Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf fighting a boss. It's 2019 and this shit still goes hard. 🤘❤️
First heard tbis song bsck in 07 when i was still a kid, this song came on MX vs atv unleashed. 15 years later still a badass song to listen to and holds many memories for me.
Just listened to this live and I simply LOVED it. I forgot about how much I liked this song and the nostalgia hit really hard. Lots of love from Romania! ❤️
This is one of a handful of productions that made me fall in love with music. As a consequence this influence pushed me to create my own music. Greatness inspires and spreads love! Thank you Papa Roach ♥
Just saw them in concert for grand rapids Michigan. Man it was awesome seeing you guys. Y'all shaked that place. Hopefully can see you again. Much love ❤️💯

Can we all just agree, Papa Roach is one of the best rock bands in history? But not just because I'm a fan. I honestly don't even know a band with so many great songs. At least 8 of their songs I consider absolutely perfect (Scars, Getting Away With Murder, Broken Home, etc).
Watching 14 years later still
Same

Big Fan!

Intimacy is great when this song is on.
This song and Last Resort were the two songs that really made me fall in love with this band. I'll forever rock out to Papa Roach.

Most surprising concert I've been to in years.. it's nonstop with them live!!
A true classic never goes out of style.
Saw him last night and it's a hard agree, he's aged like a fine wine and has energy to spare
The jealousy I hold is destructive 💔
Jacoby's performance style is fucking badass. Dude is so animated.
