This song is literally my favorite Limp Bizkit song. The drum groove, the voice, the bass, the guitar sound, lyric, it has the energy we need to be ourselves, the real version of ourselves. Idk, I just feel like this song represents my way of life. Thanks Fred!

It's a sinister world we live in, but you can pull it together if you're willing to claw and ache at every step of the way. Trust me, I was blasting a lot of Limp Bikzit when I lost a good friend of mine, and it still aches to some degree. Stay strong.
i am now a 34 year old father of two, i cant forget being 13 years old and listen to this song and the entire album, this was the sound track of those days.
I'm going say it, they are such a treasure to the GenX and Millennials that blended the NuMetal genre perfectly and I think the Gen Z will come to love...
I know. They’ve never left me and every now and then I put it on. For me it was because Chocolate Starfish had all the tracks I wanted on and you couldnt just download stuff. Rollin’ was the best song i’d ever heard in my life up until then and I used to watch Kerrang praying it would come on!
I remember being 12 and my big brother bought Significant Other when it first came out. I pretty much stole it from him, it became mine 😂 then he bought me chocolate starfish when it came out. 😂 I was very lucky! They were my fav band!
I want to talk about how underrated their bassist is. Dude packs 80 percent of the punch in this band. Hes also incredibly talented. Wes and fred get a ton of praise. As they should. But man is their bassist a beast.
No no. Just his riffs. I dont feel like bassists get enough credit. Especially good ones. They really make a difference in a band. Especially bands like this that heavily rely on a bass and drum groove.
@@benjaminneff8894 you know i think in most bands if not in all of em the frontman gets the most credit. I agree that this is unfair for other members of the bands
I remember being in a really bad teenage depression and limp bizkit helped me go through it. I am 28 years old now. and still to this day this band is my top 5 all time music bands. THANK YOU LIMP BIZKIT
It's crazy how memory works. Just by hearing this song I remember almost everything from that period in my life. 19 at the time. So if you want to remember moments, be sure to play music and you will never forget it :)
When i hear this song the Stone Cold vs The Rock promo always comes to mind... That Promo was Epic and gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.. I loved Wrestling back then.. To me it was the sickest stuff! Man those were the good old days.
dude!!!!! I totally kn ow what you mean! i taped that promo thing on main event. Man, those days of wwf were wicked! I get the best sense of nostalgia when listening to this. And remember how the undertaker had rollin as his intro song?
To me the golden age of wrestling was the first couple years after he purchased ecw and turner. Before that i think wrestlemania 3 was the pinnacle. Hulk hogan was instrumental and influential in enabling pro wrestling's stamp on pop culture, intangibly, the sport owes him substantially. I was a huge wrestling fan i outgrew it around the early to mid '00s. For a while though wrestling was awesome. Undertaker vs mankind hell in a cell. Lotsa great matches and scenarios, they captured lightning in a bottle for a good minute
The first time I heard this song I was a kid watching the greatest WWF promo ever 😍 over 20 years later and it's still the greatest promo ever! What a time to be a kid!
I used to hate on nu-metal but holy shit it's sooo much better than current trends of mumble rap/trap shit. All the woodstock 99 performances were energetic live musicians playing their instruments.
@@t3hgir Lots of these acts received a lot of flak back in the day. But when this music was fresh, we had all sorts of good music from all genres. Now...well not so much.
15 years later I finally figured out 2:06 is an amazing shot. The context will get lost but the execution is stellar. Plus bubbles. Every once and a while some bands are ahead of their time/ understand music.
My dad passed away yesterday and now I'm making a playlist with all the songs he loved and I remember him by. This is one of them. Thank you dad for showing me the greatest artists of all times. Loved, missed and never forgotten 🤘🔥
Crazy that you say this, Currently doing the same thing brotha🫡 I lost my father back in November. It’s hard but we gotta accept this is life and just be grateful for the moments we share💯
I can’t help but think of wrestlemania 17 when I hear this song. And remembering the greatest era in wrestling let alone the greatest match ever between the rock and steve Austin. What a time to be alive
23 years later and is still one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. This needs to be in the top 100 most underrated songs of all time. Forever associated with The WM X-Seven Rock/Austin video. Please I'm begging future generations: Never let this song be forgotten. It's too historical for the 2000's to be.
Damn, I remember watching MTV during the summer holidays as a kid and getting hooked on this song. I'm now 30 and still listen to limp bizkit every week.
I was 7 years old when I heard this song, instantly fall in love with LB, 29 years old now and still jamming to Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Soad...
Agreed. I don’t know what it is, can’t put my finger on it. I guess that’s mostly what music is though? Something to associate with, a feeling. Good times. Can’t ever go back. Always moving forward.
@@heatseek4890 There’s a lot of music that I associate with certain times in my life! For me the late 90’s and early 00’s I was in the navy , life was simple, no worries and having fun traveling the world and Limp Bizket was there with me. Their music is engraved in that part of my life . Fun times

I was 8 years old in 2000, my older sister used to listen to Nirvana, RHCP, Linkin Park, RATM, etc and of course Limp Bitzkit. I remember that she had a couple of CD from the band, including Chocolate Starfish. Funny thing is I kept listening to the same bands but totally forgot about LB until I watched Trainwreck Woodstock 99 and I felt the urge to listen to it again and here I am, listening non stop on my way to work everyday
No matter what you think of Fred Durst and his antics, you can't deny the band are solid. The bridge at 3:00 is delightful. The bass through out the whole song is pretty fucking good.
+Devin Hall That's because it was somehow "cool" to hate him back in school. I don't quite get it but would not at all be ashamed to play this now with other people in the car.
Wes is an absolute legend. Back then he was a like weirdo and nobody understood him. But he was just being himself. He can rip on that guitar. Today now lookong at him in his costume, is absolute genius. Definitely one of the best songs ever from the group.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@michaelharris7820 Maybe, but it was on its way out. The Invasion should have been the high water mark but it was a circle-jerk for the McMahons that told people things wouldn't get better.
"I need to beat you, Rock. I need more than you can anything than you could ever imagine. That could be only one World Wrestling Federation Champion. And that would be, Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin. With all due respect."
LegoMatt222 that speech was amazing! wwe nowadays is complete crap compared to then, roman reigns and seth rollins are nothing compared to stone cold or the rock
My favorite song when I was a kid. They even used this in Rock Vs Austin IN Wrestlemania X7 for the promo…we all come back searching for memories from our past, relieving the good old days

But Fast and Furious high key owes their ENTIRE Franchise of Movies to this one song since this was in the very 1st movie's trailer. They should remix this and put it the Fast XI Trailer.
Man, even hearing this in 2022 sounds every bit as awesome as it ever was. This Era of nu-metal was, and always will be unique and memorable. There was never a bigger group of fans with rock like there was in the y2k era
I still get goosebumps from this song and how it tied in the pinnacle moment for any young teenager wrestling fan which was hearing this song play as the most epic video package played in front of us, knowing The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin are facing off in the main event of Wrestlemania X-7.
Bro trust me, there’s a ton of new shit much better than this. Like I think Fred Durst is pretty funny, no hate on the guy or the band. However, if you’re looking for “great music” and all you can find is Limp Bizkit, you’re not looking hard enough
people used to make music because they loved music, today they make it for money. Those who actually make music out of love for music we barely know them. It's one of the reasons i stoped listenig to radio. and been discovering music on my own and been finding some great gems out there
@@julianpalmer-smith5765 I listen to alternative music these days (stuff you don't hear on the radio or tv), but I still think it's pretty great in it's own genre. I was a teenager when I listened to limp bizkit. They do have a very unique sounding music and fred dursts voice is also unique. They blend more aggressive rock with mellow melodic rock with hints of hip hop. So yes, there is other great music, but limp bizkit still stands out even in the year 2023

Every time I hear this song I can only picture The Rock Vs. Stone Cold - WrestleMania X7...and the 13 year old me comes alive again....I f'n miss the 90s/early 00s :(
that was my biggest memory, I actually bought the CD in 2000 and it was my "intro" to Nu-Metal and then into further metal But man, this song during X-7 made that event one of the most memorable in my life, I remember staying up late watching it on PPV despite having school the next day, I was cheering for Austin despite loving the rock, and just the dirty way he won it will always be cemented in my mind. Special, you think you're special
You do, I can see it in your eyes
I can see it when you laugh at me
Look down on me and walk around on me
Just one more fight about your leadership
And I will straight up leave your shit
'Cause I've had enough of this and now I'm pissed
Yeah, this time I'ma let it all come out
This time I'ma stand up and shout

This song pulled me out of a dark place.. inspired me to leave the physically and mentally abusive love of my life... I am finally at peace........
They’re on tour. You should go. It was fun as hell in Chicago.
It's a sinister world we live in, but you can pull it together if you're willing to claw and ache at every step of the way. Trust me, I was blasting a lot of Limp Bikzit when I lost a good friend of mine, and it still aches to some degree.
Stay strong.
Then they're not the love of your life.
Same situation for me! I listen to this song at least 50x a week! 🎉❤

I'm going say it, they are such a treasure to the GenX and Millennials that blended the NuMetal genre perfectly and I think the Gen Z will come to love...
Why am I addicted to limp bizkit music. Man I miss the past.
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug
I want to talk about how underrated their bassist is. Dude packs 80 percent of the punch in this band. Hes also incredibly talented. Wes and fred get a ton of praise. As they should. But man is their bassist a beast.
💯💯💯👹
i thought you were talking about a bass singer

Michael Ellis Oh how about when Kid Rock performed on Raw! So proud to be apart of the WWF era of Wrestling.
Aw yeah!

The best! Southern Cali girls were amazing during this time 👌🏼 and phones didn’t run our lives yet
Tell me more pls
yeah as a 16yo in '99 i can agree! 90s teenage years where great!
Something about his voice is so nostalgic it felt so unique to me.
1000%
His voice
The bass riffs
The aggressive pain riddled vibe. They were great. Still are
Defined my generation..😑😂
Omg yes!!!!!!!!!
Kinda sounds like nirvana
@@17-.- not at all
back then there was no spotify , no youtube, no instagram, no google, no streaming no nothing, so when it came out on TV, (actually MTV, when it was decent) i would rock those 5 min with almost all the volume up and enjoy the moment
😎
So you're saying you had no taste in music back then too?
@@GetUpTheMountains how old are you , i guess u didnt witness the old mtv
@@Madelong0063 I also know limp bizkit through MTV ..... And also Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Drowning Pool.......
Nice to listen to classics
I just always remember seeing the videos on mtv back in day and always thought, it was a guitar player and drumer from a metal band then fred and the dj came from a diffrent band lol
I was 3 year old when I got this album now I am 92 still listening to this banger
🤣
90s 2000s was a special time.
My favorite forever
Souly missed 80s
Every decade has its good songs.
Sure, and I've passed this age without using any drugs. Today, I am forced to use drugs like: Pop song, and specially in here in Brazil the Funk music thats a Colossal Shit.
90s were the best we had some good music
Is not because we getting old, is just that there's nothing like the 90's and early 2000's.
Wrestlemania X-7 Austin vs Rock promo helped this song.
True. Nothing to compare to this...
Im 54 and I love the 90’s and early 2000 way better than 80’s.
1.Eddie gurrerro vs Test
2.Benoit vs Angle
3.Kane vs big show vs raven
4.Jericho vs regal
5.Chyna vs ivory
6.TLC Hardyz vs Dudleyz vs edge and christian
7.HHH vs Taker
8.Father vs Son Shane vs Vince
9.Stone cold vs Rock
WWF went all out with wrestlemania 17 into making the greatest wrestlemanias of all time and the final pay paper view of the attitude era which started with Austin feuding with McMahon and ended with Austin shaking hands with him or in JR's legendary call BAH GOD AUSTIN IS SHAKING HANDS WITH SATAN HIMSELF its not because we are getting old it's we just saw the greatest sports event of all time which we can't see now or ever
And OSW.
Music today SUCKS! period.
As a kid, I would wait for this song to be played on the radio, then record it on a cassette recorder. Good times...
Ha yeahhhh same
Same lol!!
I was the next generation who downloaded off Limewire and onto a blank CD!!
Same.. I wanna go back to being a kid😭
It’s October 2024 and this tune sounds as good as the day it was first released all time classic
Skating off to school (with this blaring on my headphones) back then was awesome.
still does
It's crazy how everyone who listened to this music during the 90s did it the same way.
@@donaldwilbur4311 uhm not really, new generation is just copying the 90s these days, all about 90s and vintage and retro and blah blah, we were living and owning it son
It's been more than 20 years enjoying Limp Bizkit and every time I listen to them I feel renewed, it's powerful music
No worries bro we listen too
Lies again? Serie A Leader AMWF Car
I still get goosebumps from this song and how it tied in the pinnacle moment for any young teenager wrestling fan which was hearing this song play as the most epic video package played in front of us, knowing The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin are facing off in the main event of Wrestlemania X-7.
Im 10 years old again. Its endless summer holiday now. Sweet 90's are the past and 00's are not yet infected by social media, smartphones and overusing of internet . Limp Bizkit, Red hot chili peppers, Offspring and Linkin Park are producing the best music of their carreers. Melody of this song hits the same way after so many years.... my way
That nostalgia always brings me right back to those good old memories, time to make more!
you turn on your PS2, GTA SA's disk is inside.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock raisin' hell in the WWF, my Penguins had an awesome season with Mario Lemieux coming back, man the memories are never ending.

I don't care what the haters have to say about Limp Bizkit, their music got me through some tough shit in life. Limp Bizkit is a blessing!
They had some good hits back in the day i still listen to to this day.

@DOOM SLAYER And your authentic self is to rip tear and slaughter demons from hell, just a little joke but i agree100% i prefer being the weird outcast rather then follow the mindless sheep of this world.
