what episode of lazy town is this
This song is a perfect example of enjoying the music when your younger, but understanding the lyrics when your older.
This song was fun when I was 13.
Wow. In my youth, this just ROCKED. These days, as an adult, it just hits different. Damn man. Cruelest dream, reality...
back when I didn't speak any English all these punk rock bands from late 90's/early 2000's sounded so positive and high energy. I had no idea what they were saying so these songs would always cheer me up and make my day seem brighter. Little did I knew these lyrics were deeply depressing or anti-stablishment.
When I was 15 years old this song sounded nice.
In the 90's the kids aren't alright
this definitely deserves a third verse
Worst part of this song is that it is still accurate today
22 years later and the kids STILL aren't alright. In fact, I think they got worse
90s baby now 32. My cousin is addicted to alcohol and drugs, my friend committed suicide at 21. This song means a lot to me and I’m lucky I’ve chose a right path in this twisted world. Offspring forever 🎸
Don't cry because the 90's are over, smile because we lived them & because they happened.
To the future people who are listening to this song, please don’t let this masterpiece die. Please let this song live on through on all eternity!! I’m begging you!!
my parents bought this CD for me on my 8th birthday (mostly because my dad secretly loved The Offspring) He has since passed. I'm 29 now and still have the exact same CD...it's one of my most prized possessions.
When we were young the future was so bright
Proof that punk can make it big and still hold its soul of reflecting the ills of society. 2024 and more relevant than ever.
Anyone from 2024?
The 90's had some genius songwriters.
It's been exactly 20 years since this was released. Man, time sure does fly by.
I bought the Americana album when I was 19, and I liked this song. Now, at 44, It's amazing how accurate it is. Those lyrics with this powerful arrangement, incredible song.
