Totally man
Late 90s wasn't it?
barkbarkwoof - I want to say it was either late ‘98 or early ‘99. Their first single off that album that I can remember was Pretty Fly for a White Guy, and I can remember talking about it in my 8th grade algebra class like it was the coolest song ever! LOL - I was young and was just discovering music that I actually liked, not what pop culture told me was cool (for instance not long before that we all bought a Will Smith album). I was in 8th grade from 98-99, and I got that Offspring album for my 14th birthday which was March of ‘99. I suppose I could have saved a lot of time and spared you from having to read about my trip down memory lane by just googling it, but hey who cares?

I love playing the bassline to this song. It's amazing how the song immediately reminds you of "Obladi Oblada" by The Beatles, it's obviously heavily influenced or a tribute to that song, but the notes are different enough that it's pretty genius when you break it down. No lawsuits from Sir Paul!
Well they're both heavily reggae influenced. Macca didn't invent reggae.
@@JulianHBurchill If anything they're ska influenced, but I never said Paul invented the style of music. The overall construction of the two songs are similar enough that as soon as you hear this song it automatically evokes THAT particular song. There are many reggae/ska songs that DONT remind me of this one, so you're point is kind of moot.
Yeah true, tis very similar now you mention it
Honestly I think it's a parody in a way. They describe two opposite situations of domestic partnership.
