This song will always hold a special place in my heart. My 13 year old daughter had this as her ringtone on her phone and while she was going through chemo it would ring at the most interesting times. We lost her sometime around 2014 but every once in a while Fred Durst comes on the Radio and I swear I hear my daughter say "I DID IT ALL FOR THE NOOKIE"
Rest in peace Lisa!

This album was a cultural phenomenon back in 1999.. If you weren't there, you won't understand what an amazing time this was.

The 90s was a great time for music
The 90s were the best times for everything, especially music!!
80-90-00-10 after not good
@IStevenSeagalin the 90s we not every song and movie was about the lgbtq
@IStevenSeagal everything was raw, everything was new, everybody was out on the streets, no smartphones, no social media, just living life and being in the moment and the entertainment industry was full of creative writers that created special movies, shows and music that is not comparable with the stuff today
Yep 90s rocked! And I was also in this music video in the crowd it was fun times!.

They were super popular in Europe too, especially eastern Europe and Russia well after most Americans faded out.
Shit, I just watched a stream in 2018?19? Of Freddy D performing live over there. Not quite the insane moshpits of the 90s but still solid.
These dudes were ahead of their time with their blend of styles of rock, rap, hip hop beats, and breakbeats.
Did you ever heard about a genre called NU-metal?
@@-orlandogx- Yea, they started it. "Nu metal became popular in the late 1990s with bands and artists such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Kid Rock all releasing albums that sold millions of copies."

They weren't what I would call ahead of their time, there was never a better time for a band like Limp Bizkit to have exploded like they did. Not before the 90's or anytime after, it was timed perfectly. Not a shot just a difference of opinion.

Fun fact: nookie was originally written by Kurt Cobain but then given to Fred Durst for it was to emotional for Kurt to preform live.

That doc is wild
I know I can’t believe such a thing happened, crazy it was bound to tho, young people were and are still very angry. You don’t plan a festival like that like the original Woodstock was an accident and they managed to pull it all together and it was still a disaster area

The late 90s transitioning into the 2000s... it was a great time be around! This track was ridiculously huge!
Some of the best years ever. Highschool, pre Sept 11, KoRn was at a high, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Godsmack, Incubus... We were all pissed off at our parents but half of us didn't know why and most of us would grow up to realize we were stupid and they were right. No one knew who Linkin Park was but they would soon come to change tons to people that liked this type of music. Being a prep wasn't cool and the looser your clothes were the better. We barely knew what the internet was and Napster was getting us all threatened with jail time.
Ahhhhhhhhh the good ol days!
Yep! Limp Bizkit was one of the few right at the forefront of the nu metal era, and then Linkin Park said "Hold my beer" and blew everyone else out of the water. What a time it was to be alive as a teen, along with everything else you mentioned.
Amen... those days were great.

Limp Bizkit did two of the greatest songs pertaining to a painful breakup. One of them is Boiler. The other one is this. he's the perfect frontman
Imagine driving down the street playing this while singing and dancing while driving
People wanna talk shit about this band, but cmon, how are you even gonna deny this band changed music forever.
deez nuts
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How did they change music forever?
@@Dannymon yeah, I wonder too, no doubt they had a great commercial success, but changing music FOREVER???
They are better than Linkin park
Wes Borland is such an underrated guitar player. His riffs are so nasty🔥🤘🏻
I’ll agree that he has a unique style and can make some catchy riffs, but his technical skills aren’t anything special. Then again he played NuMetal which didn’t really require shredding. I recently saw a picture of him with an amazingly awesome looking custom Jackson Flying V. I give him props for style just for playing that beaut’.
Bro
Back in the day when jeans were not skinny and the music was bangin.
Looks like we've found Fred dursts RUclips account
Unlike Fred Darts, I don't do it for the nookie
I didn't know Limp Bizkit was actually pretty lit till Spencer showed me the way
Fred darts?
He did it for the meatloaf
Did somebody say meatloaf?!?
Sticks his meat in the loaf..
3:10 Get it Wes! I was always amazed at how he could jump, turn, kick all around the stage and never miss a beat. By far my favorite band mate. In highschool after Columbine we all had to get ID tags with our picture. All my friends, we grabbed Guitar magazine and cut out little pictures and placed them over our own pictures. I was Wes with black contacts. I still have that ID almost 20 years later.
You Know Now That You Say That It Is Pretty Cool How Wes Does All That While Playing
@@12xenn45 Watch Wes on stage at a concert in the early 2000s. I guess they did those in the studio as well, right?
@John Morin LOL why
These lyrics are permanently ingrained into my mind and I often think of them even after all this time
Whata rhyme
Came here to say this!
I was too old for this when it came out, I was aghast at what a douche Durst was, but checking them out now I hear they were pretty damn good and the lyrics are quite decent.
i like the basslines, they are really good never noticed it before
