I listen to this song every morning and day. I’m a 37 year old mother of 2, who has battled addiction for years. This song, and Scott Stapps lyrics, helped me to reclaim life after losing it all to Heroin. Thank you Creed 🙏

I know it sounds weird to say this, but Creed was the best concert I've ever been to! I saw them live with my mom (RIP) back during the 2012 Human Clay tour, I'm telling you, these guys had that crowd more hyped than any other bands I've seen at that venue. Creed sounded exactly like the album, Scott's vocals were freaking perfect, everyone was killing it. I will cherish that memory forever because my mom was with me, she passed away in January of 2018 and she was my best friend. Her name was Kim and she was 56yo when she passed away, she was a beautiful soul and she made me who I am. RIP Mom, I love you and I miss you very much. 🙏❤

I've always had a rocky relationship with my dad, and it got worse when I moved in with him after my mom passed, but now I have the strongest relationship with him that I've ever had. It definitely changes your perspective on life, sorry for your loss as well brother. 🙏🤝🤜🤛

As I grow older and into adult life, this hit different. So many things happen in life. Words can't describe everything. A decade had passed. This song send a roller coaster of emotion to me right now. Full blast of goosebumps as I close my eyes while listening this music and I go back to my early life. This is my time machine. This song means so much to me. As a kid creed was one of my dads favorite bands and when this song came on we’d always jam out. Last year he died in a semi truck crash. Whenever this song comes on it always reminds me of him and the meaning of this song is so much deeper now.

Congratulations. At the time of writing this comment, I'm 35 and I found out in February that I have a brain tumor. I've been going through treatment and fighting my absolute hardest. At first I was told the tumor was malignant and couldn't be beaten. I was told that without treatment I had about 13 months at most before it took my life; and with treatment I had 2-3 years at most. Then 2 weeks before I finished my first round of chemo, and completed radiation treatment (4 weeks), I was told by my doctors that somehow my tumor had shrunk exponentially. As a result, they predicted that I have 5-10 years worst case scenario, and best case scenario they believe that I can win this fight and beat this tumor. Creed has been my favorite band ever since the first time I heard Higher in '99 or 2000. And their music has helped me through some on my hardest times; just like how it continues to help me push forward right now and never give up.
My husband just got told that the tumors in his lungs are no longer showing signs of growth and actually have shrank. Congratulations!! Cancer is no easy battle. My prayers and thoughts are with anyone affected by that monster! And if you’re reading this and you’re currently fighting that battle, just know you’re not alone and someone you don’t even know is in your corner. Nobody should ever have to go through that alone.
Ive been listening to creed for 50 years. Im a 94 WW2 and vietnam vet who is retired right now. Creed helped me get through the wars and a terrible drug addiction i had. Thank you creed for the beautiful music throughout the years.
My high school crush gave me a Creed cassette tape for Christmas. The class drew lots and we drew each other. This was my favorite song on there. She was smart and attractive. My heart would beat uncontrollably fast whenever she was near me. Unfortunately we had a falling out in college and never talked again. I hope she's happy now wherever she is.

My brother and I loved Creed - especially this song. I lost my brother in June 2019, but he is always with me in the music that we shared and loved together. 'I just want to say hello again.'

Can't quite believe this was 22 years ago, time has flown very quickly. When you get older it does that to you. Anyway, what a song this has been for me over the years, and I'm sure for you as well. We all have memories to share about this track, I'm in my early 40s now, so I was naive and young when this came out originally. Wherever you are or whatever age you belong to, let's appreciate this iconic song, it's needed now more than ever.

Nickleback is considered a sell out because they would take any deal offered, and creed got labeled a Christian rock band due to the lyrics and message for most of their songs even tho they argued they weren't plus the lead singer had substance problems which always impacts a reputation and legacy but it didn't stop them from being one of the top 10 selling artists of the 2000s

Creed is no longer a band. Scott Stapp(singer) and Mark Tremonti(Guitarist) had "creative differences" but, I just assume it has to do with Scott Stapp's addiction to drugs supported by the fact that he was essentially penniless in 2014. Tremonti is still heavily focused on his solo stuff and Alter Bridge(Check them out) so, he isn't planning on reuniting with Stapp to resurrect Creed in the near future. Evidently they haven't even been close friends for a while now.

Call me stupid, call me corny but I am glad I grew up listening to bands like Creed. Their music had meaning behind it, it had soul, it had the it factor that still lasts today. Creed is one of the all time greats IMO. They did not have just one good song, They did not have just one awesome song, every song they put out was a massive hit.

I want to say that I am sorry for your losses, but that doesn't feel sincere enough. That phrase gets thrown around a lot and I feel as though many people say it reactively, rather than actively thinking of what it means. (I don't mean to come off as sounding gatekeep-y, so I apologize if I do sound that way.) I am also special needs, though my needs are "only" physical and are much less intensive than many others. I don't claim to know what you're going through. I have not yet lost anyone close to me like that, thankfully. I just want to say that it is my hope that they are in a better place, free from the constraints put on them by their lives here. I'm very moved by your posting here, because you felt the prompting to post about them to commemorate them, and that's something that I can see my own sister doing when I pass. I wish you the best of luck in this life, however much we have left of it, and it is my sincerest hope that you all will meet again when the curtain falls for us here.

I know it sounds weird to say this, but Creed was the best concert I've ever been to! I saw them live with my mom (RIP) back during the 2012 Human Clay tour, I'm telling you, these guys had that crowd more hyped than any other bands I've seen at that venue.
Creed sounded exactly like the album, Scott's vocals were freaking perfect, everyone was killing it.
I will cherish that memory forever because my mom was with me, she passed away in January of 2018 and she was my best friend.
Her name was Kim and she was 56yo when she passed away, she was a beautiful soul and she made me who I am. RIP Mom, I love you and I miss you very much. 🙏❤

Congratulations. At the time of writing this comment, I'm 35 and I found out in February that I have a brain tumor. I've been going through treatment and fighting my absolute hardest. At first I was told the tumor was malignant and couldn't be beaten. I was told that without treatment I had about 13 months at most before it took my life; and with treatment I had 2-3 years at most. Then 2 weeks before I finished my first round of chemo, and completed radiation treatment (4 weeks), I was told by my doctors that somehow my tumor had shrunk exponentially. As a result, they predicted that I have 5-10 years worst case scenario, and best case scenario they believe that I can win this fight and beat this tumor.
Creed has been my favorite band ever since the first time I heard Higher in '99 or 2000. And their music has helped me through some on my hardest times; just like how it continues to help me push forward right now and never give up.

My husband just got told that the tumors in his lungs are no longer showing signs of growth and actually have shrank. Congratulations!! Cancer is no easy battle. My prayers and thoughts are with anyone affected by that monster! Ive been listening to creed for 50 years. Im a 94 WW2 and vietnam vet who is retired right now. Creed helped me get through the wars and a terrible drug addiction i had. Thank you creed for the beautiful music throughout the years.

My high school crush gave me a Creed cassette tape for Christmas. The class drew lots and we drew each other. This was my favorite song on there. She was smart and attractive. My heart would beat uncontrollably fast whenever she was near me. Unfortunately we had a falling out in college and never talked again. I hope she's happy now wherever she is.

Uns 20 anos depois desde que ouvi e vi essa música pela primeira vez (❤️), só agora, nesse exato instante, me dou conta do significado desse vídeo. O centro da cidade alagado é como falshes da memória do do cara (Scott). Etapas da vida dele. A mulher acenando, um amor que ficou... Os carinhas no bote, pulando na água, a juventude dele... O moleque com o taco de baseball, a infância, etc... Até por isso o clipe começa com um mergulho da câmera no olho do homem velho sentado na praça!!! E tem tudo a ver com a letra!!!! Hahaha que tapado que eu sou! Demorei uns 20 anos para capturar a ideia original. Mas ao mesmo tempo em minha defesa, gostaria de argumentar que ouvia tanto Creed, e comprava os cds, traduzia com meu dicionário de inglês, e ficava imaginando tanta coisa, tanta coisa! E eu só tinha 15! Que l sinceramente... A possibilidade de interpretação é tanta!!! Hahahaha Enfim...

Creed is no longer a band. Scott Stapp(singer) and Mark Tremonti(Guitarist) had "creative differences" but, I just assume it has to do with Scott Stapp's addiction to drugs supported by the fact that he was essentially penniless in 2014. Tremonti is still heavily focused on his solo stuff and Alter Bridge(Check them out) so, he isn't planning on reuniting with Stapp to resurrect Creed in the near future. Evidently they haven't even been close friends for a while now.

Call me stupid, call me corny but I am glad I grew up listening to bands like Creed. Their music had meaning behind it, it had soul, it had the it factor that still lasts today. Creed is one of the all time greats IMO. They did not have just one good song, They did not have just one awesome song, every song they put out was a massive hit.

This song popped in my head this week, after learning that my brother passed away. 13 months after I lost another brother. Both were special needs and I imagine these lyrics as we meet again. 💔

I want to say that I am sorry for your losses, but that doesn't feel sincere enough. That phrase gets thrown around a lot and I feel as though many people say it reactively, rather than actively thinking of what it means. (I don't mean to come off as sounding gatekeep-y, so I apologize if I do sound that way.) I am also special needs, though my needs are "only" physical and are much less intensive than many others. I don't claim to know what you're going through. I have not yet lost anyone close to me like that, thankfully. I just want to say that it is my hope that they are in a better place, free from the constraints put on them by their lives here. I'm very moved by your posting here, because you felt the prompting to post about them to commemorate them, and that's something that I can see my own sister doing when I pass. I wish you the best of luck in this life, however much we have left of it, and it is my sincerest hope that you all will meet again when the curtain falls for us here.
