Something curious is that the video was WAY ahead of it's time (1998) graphically speaking. For example, Half-Life was released in 1998 too and the characters in the normal version still looked like a bunch of polygons put together. Vice City was released in 2002 and it didn't have nearly as good graphics as this video. I know it may be due to the fact that this is just a music video and not a videogame, but just imagine a 1998 game with these graphics.

Hard to believe now that when this came out the graphics of the music video were mind-blowing compared to what we actually had at the time.
Something curious is that the video was WAY ahead of it's time (1998) graphically speaking. For example, Half-Life was released in 1998 too and the characters in the normal version still looked like a bunch of polygons put together. Vice City was released in 2002 and it didn't have nearly as good graphics as this video. I know it may be due to the fact that this is just a music video and not a videogame, but just imagine a 1998 game with these graphics.

This is an animation meaning they put images one after the other, the budget went full on visuals, there are no mechanics, no physics and certainly no story. therefore they manage to make it more visual appealing than a videogame. videogames dont focus only on graphics...

I know these are not videogame graphics, but you can't deny they are very similar, because this animation is still a 3D and not a 2D one. I listen to this song every day and night, I relate to it so much because of the deep dark hole American society is in today. No rock band today could match what these guys and many others from their time had done and I'm glad I grew up on this!
