I havent seen much hate, tbh its been the opposite recently. I think social media brought back the nostalgia and love for them. I saw them in Denver last month, best concert I've ever been to. I agree though, one of the best bands of the 2000s, summer of 99 for life
I have a neurological condition, I am (or was) an advanced guitarist but my condition is starting to take its toll on my playing. Today I couldn't shred worth a damn, then I listened to this song and it helped me relax and take a step back from all the metronome practice just trying to hold on to my vanishing skill. It made me remember a time when I was happy despite not knowing much about guitar and it's made me think maybe I still could. It was one of the first songs I learned in 2002. I think I might relearn it and just try to appreciate the sound, the instrument and the music without the pressure of trying to be the best all the damn time. Thank you Creed, and Mark Tremonti for this beautiful song.
Man, this song speaks to me right now, like never before. The line: "I cried out, 'Heaven, save me'" is basically my mantra every day. Have a great 2025 everybody.
Damn....I hadn't heard this song for what seemed like 20 years and then this morning while working at the airport, I hear it in the rental car I was driving back to the wash facility. I made it through first verse before completely losing it and having to compose myself before meeting with my new manager. I lost my Dad in January 7th and this song was like a complete gut punch from out of nowhere. After work, I decided to see if I could make it further that the first verse and nope...I had to stop it again. I love you, Dad. I'll see you again some day.
Same thing happened to me right after my mom passed. I burst into tears after hearing it, even though I had heard it a hundred times before and it never had that effect. Sending positive vibes your way bro.
This song speaks to the depression I have suffered through for years dealing with childhood abuse & later postpartum depression. I know what it's like being on that edge & just one thing can just push you off. Thankfully I received therapy to deal with my demons & can say I am living through it, but taking one day at a time. But this song encapsulates that very feeling. If you have never suffered from trauma, I don't think you can understand the full meaning of this beautiful, yet haunting song. One of my favorites from Creed.

Wow, One Last Breath by Creed is an absolute masterpiece! The lyrics are so raw and emotional, and Scott Stapp's vocals are absolutely incredible. This song has the power to give you goosebumps and make you feel every word. It's a timeless classic that still gives me chills every time I listen to it. Thank you, Creed, for creating such a beautiful and powerful piece of music.
I don't care what people say, im a big creed fan. In my times of meth addiction (17yrs) creed songs help me feel that im not alone. I am 4 years sober now.
This song has helped me through some of the most difficult, and most depressing times of my life. I still listen to it, regularly, all of these years, later.
I'm a nurse and this video reminds me of a pivotal point in my life. I was in nursing school and one of my elderly patients just died right as my shift was ending. His body was still warm when I came into the room. I came home distraught and listened to this over and over again as I sobbed endlessly. It really helped me through a hard time.
Fuck….that’s heavy. I can’t imagine all you go through while nursing. You and everyone in your field are fucking heroes don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise
My best friend died this morning. He always loved this band and this song and I loved it with him. He's forever in a set of arms wide open... fly high, Squish... I will always remember you for those great nights we used to have blasting this late at night 🕊❤
We do have artists of this quality nowadays. The problem is that once they blow up the record companies force them to conform and they eventually become generic. It happened in the older days too, yet some bands beat the odds and kept their quality. That's why an artist's first few albums are USUALLY their best.
Just realizing that this song makes 20 years old this year makes me feel incredibly old but yet badass that I lived in a time when music like this once played on the radio.
a minha namorada é prima do Scott, o cantor. Eu Moro na Flórida, ela é de Panama City, FL, uma cidadezinha perto de Tallahassee onde a banda começou. Ela fica constangida as vees lol
My dad died of a drug overdose when I was 14, this was one of his favorite songs, he’d play it all the time. I’m now 27, I can’t listen to this song without crying, fully understanding the meaning behind the song realizing what he must of been going through mentally.
Apple Jaxx i love them too man.. I could never understand why people judged me for loving this band.. the unreligious maybe.. or maybe dangered.. this song still speaks volumes .. and also keeps me alive in my dark times.. .. @@cameronespinosa5903 Agreed. Modern music has lost this depth. So little thought put into lyrics anymore. Nothing sounds like Creed, and that means something.
I can clearly recall the time when these guys ruled the airwaves and the music world... To the point where these guys were hated on pretty heavily and reviled the way Nickelback has been for some time now... Except it took place while they were on top...But I can distinctly remember they were so popular that they ruled pop music as well as you said... Whether you liked them or not, you knew who they were...They played Creed songs everywhere you went, but I always thought deservedly so...I personally was a fan since their debut album and throughout due to a local morning DJ duo that had a national following promoting them on radio after hearing them and I've even heard Scott thank them in concert for their part in helping Creed get big...
Including me. I was in a very dark place in high school and was actually very close to calling it quits for good. Creed, Linkin Park and Nickleback helped me come back from that void. I know a lot of people hate these bands, but they helped pull me out of a self-dug grave. Thanks, guys. ❤
I know it sounds weird to say this, but Creed was the best concert I've ever been to! I saw them live with my mom (RIP) back during the 2012 Human Clay tour, I'm telling you, these guys had that crowd more hyped than any other bands I've seen at that venue. Creed sounded exactly like the album, Scott's vocals were freaking perfect, everyone was killing it. I will cherish that memory forever because my mom was with me, she passed away in January of 2018 and she was my best friend. Her name was Kim and she was 56yo when she passed away, she was a beautiful soul and she made me who I am. RIP Mom, I love you and I miss you very much. 🙏❤
Awesome comment to share about the concert. Sorry you lost your mom though. This song seems to have hit a sentimental groove in a lot of us, as we all seem to have a similar story to tell but yet all about different ways it flowed through our lives and our families and friends. It’s good to know we’re not alone.
Man i remember the early 2000s going over to my friend daves house in our apartment complex and hearing creed blasting out the windows and seeing him standing there doing the dishes. Trying to get the chores done before his ma got home from work. 2002. Miss my best friend Dave Moelter
When I was 6 years old,my Dad used to listen to this song ..but when I was 9 years my Dad passed away..I used to listen to this song on behalf of my Dad..RIP Dad u will always be my favorite hero
I didn’t even hear this song until 2024 but I’m so grateful to find awesome music I’ve never heard about, even if that means I’ve missed out on 20+ years of listening to it consistently.
My brother died a few days ago of cancer. During his Chemo he would listen to music. So he made a Spotify play list. When his time was coming to a close my other brother started playing my dying brothers play list. During his final moments this song was playing. Metaphorically and literally his last breath. This song will alway hold a special place in my heart.
Sorry for your loss. I mean that. Your son must have had good taste in music and didn't let others dictate what he liked. Never gets old or boring. What a master piece. It is a pity that we don't get music like this these days.
M0
We do have artists of this quality nowadays. The problem is that once they blow up the record companies force them to conform and they eventually become generic. It happened in the older days too, yet some bands beat the odds and kept their quality. That's why an artist's first few albums are USUALLY their best.
