Evermore bathroom break?? I completely disagree haha. It’s so interesting though that Joe thought LWYMMD didn’t hit. I felt like it translates best to a big stadium. The lead in between Don’t Blame Me into LWYMMD hit so hard. Our theater was going crazy! Great episode as always!

I love all of Taylor's albums but my favorites (the ones that made me a swiftie) are folklore/evermore so, obviously, I think you go totally off the rails to suggest that evermore is a "dud". True, in comparison to her other albums, evermore doesn't have the most impressive popularity/sales figures, but in the grand scheme of things it is still wildly successful. Any major artist would be ecstatic to have an album with evermore's level of success in their repertoire.
Along similar lines: to say that Midnights is a dud is complete lunacy by any objective measure. It's one thing to make a subjective claim like "I'm not a fan of that album" but to say that Midnights is a "dud" as if everyone knows this is simply bonkers. It is the first album in history to completely dominate the Top 10 charts, and it is still going strong.
In retrospect, I can somewhat see what you mean about the visual chaos of camera angles, etc., in the movie but I don't personally find it to be seriously problematic. Overall I think the movie is visually well done, even though I also think that it might have been better if the camera had lingered longer on Taylor in more scenes.

I enjoy Taylor Swift songs, but I will say my problem is with the setlist. I agree with you that the flow is off-kilter as well (a salad is the perfect descriptor). The songs kinda feel random. The recency bias is a shame. And ending with Karma (🤨) is also a massive miss for me.
I also think she just has so many GREAT songs on her albums that don't get as much recognition (ALSO MASSIVELY AGREE THAT THE OG 5 Minute All Too Well is THE superior version THANK YOU!!! ...But to call Enchanted terrible is just DEMENTED it's top 5 for sure)

(her big singles like Shake It Off, Look What You Made Me Do, Blank Space, and Bad Blood are fun now and again and I get why she has to add at least a little bit of them... but ultimately those not what I care about. then there's songs that I just can't deal with either lyrically or musically because Ew... like betty which I find soooo boring I can't even make it to the key change, the ever-pretentious "The Man", the condescending "You Need To Calm Down", the vapid Bejeweled, and the sacrilegious "Karma")

I'm not a Swifty. I don't think I'll ever be a Swifty. I'm super new to the whole Taylor phenomenon. BUT I'm so happy for her success and I do admire and respect her power and humility, but haven't ever found that any of her music moves me like it seems to move everyone else. I like a few of her songs but not enough to buy her music or pay $150 for a ticket to see her in concert. I came to see what all the fuss is about I'd pay $300 to see Cardi B in concert & I buy all of her music.
I massively enjoyed the movie. Saw it twice. I usually like your content, but this was about as irritating as possible.. But that’s OK. Maybe you need to calm down😊. Taylor and her crew did a real solid for those of us. That couldn’t go see the show.
I prefer Percy’s counterpart Colin the caterpillar jellies. Need you guys to try drumstick Squashies - an apparent fave of Taylor (I cannot stress enough it must be the original flavour not the demonic rhubarb flavour)
Percy pigs and pals has three flavours, the original Percy pig, a coca cola cow and a sheep. There's also Percy goes globetrotting, Percy and penny ( his wife which is more lemon flavour) and phizzy Percy pig tails which as the title suggests is the original but coated in that fizzy sugar like you'd find on tangfastics.
so 2 old guys with beards that get paid to be analytical & critical put a concert film under the microscope as if we all have the same perspective ... was this supposed to be an oscar worthy film ? and to what standard are they comparing it to ? they never mentioned another concert film in comparison .. i suggest that there were millions of fans who didn't have the luck or money to see the show live and for them this film will let them be in the 'communal' moment regardless of the direction & edits .. the simple question is 'is it fun' ? and does it capture most of the experience ? there are a few performers that can play solo acoustic and captivate a stadium .. dylan mccartney springsteen mitchell petty .. and swift .. and that says it all ....

He’s too busy being the literal only person sitting down in a crowd of fans writing a detailed nthesis on a pop star’s concert film while everyone else is completely engaged enjoying what they paid to see and having a blast just so he can pretend to say something profound in the podcast he shares with another out of touch old dude who, instead of focusing on the music they love. So unnecessary to commit an entire episode to something they didn’t like.
