As an American, I love and appreciate your reaction to this movie. I really appreciate if any American film does a great job at representing another country and/or culture effectively and beautifully. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I know your comment is good natured but I just want to say that Colombia is in America so by default Colombians are American too. I'm not trying to argue...I'm just saying it because starting the comment with "As an American" gives a sort of "we're not the same vibe"🤷♀️
@@dyahmiluna thank you for your response. I see what you mean. Definitely not my intention
Out of curiosity, how would you recommend that people from the United States refer to ourselves? We’re not trying to exclude anyone inherently, but when we say “American” in the United States, citizens of the US are who come to mind because that’s what we’ve been taught.
I definitely agree that Columbia is part of the Americas, but I don’t know if another term people from the United States of America have to refer to ourselves.
@@taylorpack1120 There is no formal term, at least not in English.
Many Latin American countries refer to U.S Citizens as "Estadounidense" its literal translation is "unitedstatesians" Lol (it's not very pretty I know and I'm sorry 🤦♀️).
And I don't mean to say that there's a problem with US citizens referring to themselves as Americans. It's just that in this case, it sounds weird.
I mean, It's not an American movie about a German family you know ... It's an American movie about an American family that lives in Colombia. It's not a foreign country on the other side of the world, we're right here, we're neighbors. If you were going to comment on a movie about a family that lives in Chicago you wouldn't start by saying "As an American".
I honestly wasn't trolling or trying to argue. I know it's a good-natured comment and I know I'm not being purposefully excluded, but it kind of made me feel left out. Like Colombians are not considered Americans.✌🥰
@@dyahmiluna honestly after these past years I learned that many Latin countries just call U.S citizens gringos and that’s it or Yankees 🥲
It’s so wonderful to watch the movie in its mother tongue. I’m Latina myself, but because of an early divorce between my parents I didn’t get to grow up speaking Spanish. I have always had this feeling of not being whole because I feel like I can’t truly connect to my roots or with my people, but something about watching this movie in Spanish (though I’m not Colombian) made me feel so at home. I got almost as emotional as you.
You can always learn! If you travel and stay some months in Spanish speaking countries your level will improve a lot
I am so happy that this film displayed Colombian culture so well
Many of the same actors who voiced their characters in the original also voiced them in Spanish.
Oooh so THAT'S why some of the different languages sounded pretty much the same as English
Trying to get different language'd voice actors to sound like the original voice is really hard if I'm correct?
@@julianemery718
Normally, we don't try to make it sound similar. We try to make it sound good to the audience that speak the language. For example in Spanish, sometimes, we make the voice deeper when a character is big, cuz we associate it. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it good xD
Pepa, Félix, Julieta and the abuela are the only ones who do both Spanish and English. Wich is almost the half(? I believe
They are from COLOMBIA !!
@@gena86able
We know
I don't speak spanish, I've had notions, but i can see the whole reaction without reading a subtitle... Just by your emotions, and I'd most admit I know this film by heart. The best disney ever!!!
I think it's so interesting how you had such an intense reaction to Mirabel and Antonio because you could relate to them the most (I assume you're the youngest in the family?) but mostly just had fun during Luisa's song. I am the oldest child in my family and while I "only" enjoyed and appreciated Mirabel's song and Antonio as a character, I had an intense reaction to Luisa's (and later Isabela's) song because I could relate to their struggles as the eldest children so much.
Your reaction is so lovely and it's a joy to see you being so happy that your culture is finally (!!) being represented in a positive light.
Me encantó.
I just watched the movie a few hours ago. After watching your beautiful, touching reaction, I want to rewatch it in Spanish with English subtitles.
I'm grateful to watch a Colombian react to this movie. For real. Thank you.
Edit: Girl, your reactions are so true and pure. A pleasure to watch.
Right? It's so pure and raw. I cried with her, laughed with her, from the other part of the world. What a gem this video (and part 2) is.
It was so lovely to see the reaction of someone represented by Encanto. Hearing the additional sadness of someone who better knows the significance Alma and Pedro fleeing their home, but also the joy of seeing your country portrayed positively. And my heart broke for you when you were reminded of your papa. It was very brave of you to share that moment with us.
I've seen people talking online about how colombia doesn't get much good representation, but seeing you get so emotional saying that really got to me TwT
I’ve watched this movie so many times, and so many English reactions too. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see a genuine Colombian reaction, with EVERYTHING in Spanish. Next step: TRAVEL TO COLOMBIA!!! 😜👍🏻
Finally! A reaction that reflects my movie experience! I just started crying every 5 minutes!
*Your reaction is going to make me cry in a whole new different level, i can already tell--* 😭💗 Jajaj
Great reaction! I visited Colombia almost two decades ago, and lived there for two years. And what you say is true: Colombia has quite the bad press, but there are a HUGE lot of things to be proud of, starting with its people. By the way, I'm also sick and tired of all those terrible things - not worth of mention - that keep hurting your land and your people. Greetings from Perú! 🇨🇴🇵🇪
The first rule of Fight Club is we don't talk about Bruno.
LOL! But Bruno can talk about Fight Club...
And the Golden rule "all must love Camilo"
Watching the movie in Spanish makes it even more special!
Eres usted un urgullo para Colombia....I have see almost 30 reactions of Encanto....yours by far is my favorite....you did a fine job with the translation....so much work....we appreciate it....from this second generation Puerto Rican I say ...Weeeepa!
"Tú eres" (informal) or "usted es" (formal) 🤗
@@user-ry1cc1im6f you sure...???
This movie is definitely a tear jerker, but I'm surprised you started crying at the disney logo and never stopped xD honestly same, I realized the set up during the opening scene and had to pause to have a whole moment lmao
So glad a Colombian did this
So this is my first time seeing the movie in Spanish and it sounds like a lot of the same actors! I knew a lot of them were Latin, but the grandma in particular sounds exactly the same.
Also, I'm really glad you chose to do this in Spanish. I dont speak it, but it was different and unique to a lot of other reactions I've seen
Loved your insight as a Colombian! This is the first time I've watched you but I can tell I'm going to enjoy your content. Thanks!!
"I'm not ready to keep crying!" Guurrrllll you've got more than 1/2 a movie to go and you haven't gotten to the SAD PARTS yet.
(If it makes you feel better, I cried when Mirabel's doilies caught on fire because I was just learning to sew and the thing I was making was about that size and it took me a month to put together! It hit me hard.... along with everything else in the film of course. So much crying!)
It feels very nice to hear the Spanish voices. I’ve only watched the movie in Swedish (my native language) and in English.
I appreciate the subtitles, I do not speak a luck of Spanish so I would be very lost without it
(Both for you and the movie)
Seeing your reaction to see your country and language represented in a Disney movie was endearing and makes me wish Disney made a movie based on Portugal, the world has so many wonderful places to make animation movies about, like Disney come onnn
Man, I love youtube. This felt like an explosion of culture shock for me but mid way through it felt like I was understanding Spanish, even though I wasn't, and inside of the culture. Such a great upload and reaction!
I love your reaction - based on the amount of crying so far, I don't know if we will survive through part 2 though!
I always love to see and immerse myself in other cultures and your reaction is probably the best. You are adorable and I learned a lot from this video.
Felicidades. Un abrazo desde La Paz Bolivia 🇧🇴.
I’ve seen lots of reactions to this film. A couple Colombian reactors. I’m crying with you! So happy to see your country represented so positively!
One of the few Hollywood movies that shows Colombia in a neutral way is Romancing the Stone (1983). Yes, the villain is a corrupt police official, but the film also shows the beauty and charm of Colombia. Only problem is that it was shot in Mexico as a stand-in for Colombia, and I don't know if any of the actors were actually Colombian.
The actors were not Colombian.
when she cried at the opening, I KNEW this will be quite a ride.
You're so cute! Usually people get emotional and revert to their native tongue, but you broke out in english lol
Ive seen this movie more times than i can count and you crying had me crying right along with you. You are absolutely adorable
Love it. The authenticity made it awesome 👍👍
A great reaction, I was very happy to see how a colombian felt about this movie, I'm not latino at all, but I felt very touched, and I'm happy you feel well represented
Thank you so much for the english subtitles🥰, still lovely great job🏅👍🎉
I watch a lot of anime, so seeing subtitles was no sweat! I loved hearing the movie, music and your reaction in the native language of the film's intent. Thank you, looking forward to part 2!
*This is your second reaction I've watched (Just finished part 2). "The Mask" was the first, but this one's my favorite. I'm half Latino (Mother's side: 1/2 Cuban, 1/2 Spanish, 1/2 Mexican, 1/2 Aztec. haha), and half white. Raised "American". I totally feel you, whenever I see familias on screen, it reminds me of holidays (Christmas and Summers) in Arizona with my Mom's side of the family. There was always that warmth you didn't feel anywhere else.*
Latino isnt a race cuban isnt a race mexican isnt a race
It's such a joy to watch you react to this. I'm generally not the sort to have mood swings but I felt every one and it made me love the movie even more that you could identify so strongly with it.
Loved this reaction! Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful reaction! Thank you for the privilege of watching this reaction in your language! Also, you’re definitely good at something-as shown by your talent in making videos that bring happiness to others!
Watch PART 2: ruclips.net/video/7BSXoDjJqGM/видео.html
This is my second time watching your review!
💛💙♥️ You have such a genuine love and beautiful connection to this movie! Your energy is infectious! 🇨🇴
Finally someone that's just as emotional as me reacting to this, haha. Lovely insights!
Primera reacción en español que miro. El doblaje latinoamericano necesita ser apreciado ❤️.
it feels amazing when your culture is given love and representation 🇩🇴🇵🇷❤️ as a hispanic you’re right the grandma always makes you feel like trash 🙄
Holy shoot Pepa's voice is so beautiful in this version!
I'm insecure with my family because they're all so close to each other and I feel like an outsider, especially becausey my mother didn't teach me Tagalog. I looked Filipina as a kid but after puberty I looked more white, my skin color and eyes changed. After 10 years I was finally back in Manila, my grandmother was coming to see me, I was as nervous as Antonio if she'd accept me.
She saw me and began shouting "SHE'S NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHINNNG!!!"
(meaning there is nothing Filipino about her but... come on) imprudente sí a nosotros tambien 😩
me encanto tu channel ;)

It breaks my heart when you cried at the intro, I’m glad that you’re comfortable not holding back your feelings when it hits home💕
I thought I loved your accent when you speak English but when you speak Spanish..Sheesh it's a gift to my ears 😍😍😍
This is awesome. This is the first Encanto (Spanish version) reaction I’ve seen. I love it. thank you.
I love this reaction. I speak both fluently and it’s the first time hearing this movie in Spanish. I think it’s so much better in Spanish although I love both.

You know um......... Nothing wrong with crying for the beauty our country holds ❤️
Beautiful reaction, I’m happy to see you find the representation of your country being shown in a good way! It’s okay to cry ❤️

Your reaction made me so happy, lol sorry to say though you cried through much of it. ☺ Still I loved the connection you showed as the movie went on. It was so pure! Subbing and anxious to see more from you! 🥰
This is the reaction I was waiting for 💕✨ love the representation! and the message really hits home

You so pretty! Don’t cry, you have beautiful smile) Ola from Russia 🇷🇺
im only english and have only heard the movie in english but hearing this it makes since to since thats what the movies about...i always enjoy the reactions to this movie by spanish speaking reactors.
She's so sweet her crying makes me cry
Love seeing a Columbian react to this beautiful film
Oh my god! PLEASE STOP! I thought I was done crying over Encanto and then you and your dad!!!! Aaaaughhhhh. I love your reaction. I’m going to watch it with my mom. You are such a beauty inside and out! ❤️❤️❤️

Not sure how I got here but glad I saw this! I absolutely love Encanto & loved watching your reaction! You’re gorgeous & listening to you speak, how you related - thank you for posting this ❤️
One of the best reactions ever! Your editing is on point
So cool to see a reaction to the spanish version of the audio. I think some of the cast did both English and Spanish, but I wonder if there were any voices you recognized? Did you happen to look up the cast? One that stood out to me was Mirabel's Dad who voiced Handy Manny on disney channel
thank you for this. I loved your reaction.
This was amazing watching your reaction in Spanish I couldn’t stop watching it was a great experience and you should definitely do it more often
Not a Spanish speaker but my Portuguese + English helped me a lot throughout your video. You are the only one from which I feel like the reaction was real since it was from your own culture. Thanks for that. Your perspective made things so much more real!
Also... I can't believe I caught the "con dones" joke... don't know if my Spanish is right, but LOL!
Thanks for your reaction!
I loved your reaction so much. I am from germany and I don´t know as much about Columbia as I would like to but I appreciate to see it from the perspective of someone who lives there and I can only imagine how important better representation is. I cried all the time during the movie (even after my....I think tenth rewatch now) but when you told why this is so dear to you, I bawled like a kid. Thank you so much for your video and I looked into your vids. You react to a lot of eighties movies which I don´t see a lotta people do and I will happily watch those.
Even though I've watched this a million times, I didn't notice the donkeys playing the instruments on the deck of the titanic until you said it! 🤣😍😂🥰
¡Gracias por este contenido! Me estas ayudando mucho con mi español! 🙏🥰😍🙏
Ame tu reacción! Arriba Colombia!! Jaksja
This was a wonderful and beautiful reaction video. Thank you for sharing your emotions and memories.
I'm loving your reaction to this movie. It's a good thing I know the movie so well because I can't read both subtitles at the same time.
your reaction is EPIC..Pls number 2 !!!!!
Thank you very much for sharing this reaction. I've been studying Spanish in preparation for my trip to visit my girlfriend in Bogotá in a couple weeks.
10:05 Just in case you dont speak spanish and youre wondering what she said, "Con dones" means "with gifts" but "condones" no space means "condoms" in spanish 🤣
I loved hearing your speculations that turned out to be wrong but were really cool! Like that Mirabel's gift is seeing the future.... or Bruno took her gift.... or that the shards represented a member of the family.... You're super clever!
I am watching for the first time; and with your reactions. I think that might be the best way to see this first.
For some reason your reaction made me very happy. My natuve language isnt Spanish but I'm learning it so hearing a reaction in spanish was a fun learning experience.
love that you cut it here because wdtab is absolutely an act 1 closing song
Colombia: LAS AREPAS SON COLOMBIANAS!

As expected, my favorite reactions are those closer to my age. Many older reactors were talking from a parental pov that I couldn't fully enjoy. Yours is the one I enjoyed the best because it was so similar to mine. Cheers.
Love where the channel is going and hope itessful. look forward to seeing films by Almodovar, Saura, even Bunuel on the channel. Be proud Latinos.V, you are the best. Good luck
