Hey guys, Joelster here, I teamed up with Lustre to give you more TV options with similar price range and all from amazon, check out the link here:

Would u use same settings for q80r
Hi I have the same screen, your setting on the console and in 120hrtz (1440p) or and and in 3860x2160?
Glad to see one more of your videos Joelster, a lot of thanks!!
Recently got mine and in my opinion, it’s pretty damn good. Really pleased with my purchase.
Thanks a lot Joelster. I just received a Q6FN a few days ago. It made my LG 43 inch 4k tv jealous cause I moved it to the bedroom. Hooked the Xbox One X to the Samsung 👍. I am loving this Samsung 😊. Congrats on your 25K subscribers. I joined when you were at 14K
I got same tv men but on ps4 pro
Awesome, thanks for all the support to the channel, yes I reviewed the Q6FN last year, awesome tv, congratulations.
and I joined when he had a couple hundred, a very nice and intelligent man
Thanks bud! I’m getting this tv soon I can’t wait!
Check out q70t. Way better with hdmi 2.1
@@superkoba8188 how is the pic quality ?
I took the juddering down to 3 and that helped with the ghosting, but why did you lower the blur reduction to 5?
I could be wrong but I think you need to turn UP the blur reduction. Maybe that will eliminate the ghosting. And less blur looks better to me personally. Great video btw 👍
I put the blur reduction and judder reduction up to ten, haven’t had any issue with ghosting. The opening to rise of the tomb raider with game motion plus and hdr is jaw dropping. It’s only the damn geothermal valley that starts to make the flaws in this feature more evident. If the base frame rate gets choppy, the interpolated frame rate is still choppy.
Blur reduction its only for 60fps games, it interpolate to 120fps, so movments looks sharp.
This tv is bad ass!! I just got it and its amazing!! I keep the free sync on for all games and the judder on 10 and I dont have a problem with it...great video!!
Knock Out King 49 or 55?
X box ps4 pro?

Thank you for making this video. Some of the other videos showcasing this television are just horrible. Great Job
I love it on the nu8000
Edit: So basically, the best setting is 10 judder for 30 fps games, and 10 blur for 60 fps games? Other than your custom 5/3 setting?
I do prefer it on Spiderman (I had blur and judder on 10, but Ill try your setting, as well as just judder 10) and The Division to AC Odyssey for some reason. And I will try it on 60 fps Resident Evil 2 later.
Btw those bobcats in Odyssey are Op af bro
Hi there! I just arrived in your channel (subscribed immediately, by the way), watched your FreeSync 2 analysis, and you didn't notice any relevant difference playing Battlefield 1. But I'm truly curious if you can notice any improvement when playing in St. Quentin map, mainly in that central part full of destroyed houses. There's clearly some lag there after the 4K patch for Xbox One X. Have you ever tested using that map?
Cheers from Rio de Janeiro! ✌️
Thanks for subscribing, no I don't see much of a difference since games on consoles are very well optimized, Freesync works best on PC.
@@JoelsterG4k Thanks! So I assume you also experienced some stuttering in that part of the map and FreeSync isn't sufficient to completely get rid of that? Or you never noticed this, actually?
A diferença é brutal, conforme esperado.
I have the same tv. Judder reduction is awesome. The games run like 60fps but you get lots of ghosting around the character and other objects like the minimap for example. I think if you put the setting to 3 of 10 its a good compromise
4k at 120hz?
Do the 48 dimming zones add much? Is it worth it over the ru8000? They got a similar rating.
I7 9700k rtx2070 super paired with this TV in 1440p at 120fps is insane.

What amazes me is all of the TV tech sights that say the first thing everyone should do is turn off motion interpolation, because it ruins the picture. This is proof that experts get to a point where they can't see when they're wrong
Does it feel Good playing it with the motion interpolation on ?
Play some 4k movie trailers please , i want to see how it looks on fast action movies.
Trying to figure out how to get my ps4 pro to recognize this tv as hdr tried putting input signal plus on. Any advice would be appreciated.
did you set the input type as Game Console?
Does the Hisense H9F have a similar feature?
which one would u get for gaming ru8000 or q60?
Thank you for the video. Can it be used as a monitor for a computer?
Thanks, yes I have a video using it as a monitor as well.
What is your reccomend between q60r and LG nano cell which one do you think is the best for gaming?! , i have to make decision today if you can answer please 🤦🏻♂️.
how do u turn 4k on on the tv
I know the 43/49 inch version will not have VRR and FreeSync.
But does it have a Game Motion Plus feature?
I see the specs of the samsung website still has this feature
Thanks !

What about input lag when using the game motion plus interpolation feature?
So you recommend me this tv for 670eur? I mean pricevice and overall
Wow this is amazing! I’m playing Assassins Creed Valhalla on PS4 PRO and it makes it seem like it’s on PS5!

I don’t understand when I choose display to Override Auto (HDMI)!
The option for FPS comes up but turns my Low latency and HDR capabilities off (Greyed out)!
Once I switch back to auto the option for FPS is gone but I can use HDR and Low latency ?
Hello, is there any benefit in activating the led clear motion setting in games?
Mine Q60B doesn’t have Blur Reduction and only Judder. Can someone explain what Judder is? How much value I should set for Judder?
I feel like this is my TV. Fair price, good colors, definitely a Gaming TV and the 55 inch (and higher) has freesync. The upscaling looks good
I might know the answer to this already but I'll ask
Do you think next gen would benefit from Samsung tvs with freesync because the AMD chips they're using?
Ps5 will bring 4k 120hz and could be xbox x2 - 2020 launch initially both consoles using 3gen ryzen with their each own implications and only ps5 bringing ray tracing in specific audio not nvidia's one. Not sure about xbox x2. So, possible freesync or freesync 2 shipped on future next gen. And currently only xbox one x had freesync understands some tradeoff between resolutions and Mhz in term go above 60 mhz between from monitors to tvs that has freesyncs
@@beansgamers7891 Thanks for the reply. I'm here debating between Q70r and Q60r for the holiday. I'm sure it will be worth getting for next gen but then I know there's Qled hybrid tvs next yr.
Vivalafred I feel like there is bound to be some benefit for a select few games because it offers 120 hz at 1440 and because variable refresh works better at higher frame rates. I’m guessing the only games that will have 120 FPS 4k modes will be games like racing games or maybe 1st party action games, but most games will target 4K 60. In that case this tv might potentially benefit quite a bit from it’s “game motion plus” mode. It seems to work better with higher frame rates, so a tv that can take a 4k 60 fps game and make it “feel” like a 4k 120 fps game seems like a good choice.
Hey @JoelsterG4K, a game that would really benefit from this is the new Flight Simulator, which can't reach high frame rates with today's cards. It would be a really popular video.
Why do I have to turn the blur reduction down, I thought you turn it up higher for less blurry?
Is this better than the 2018 Samsung Q6FN as far as gaming goes?
Why not just increase blur reduction 10 and keep judder at 0. I read the judder only works for low frame content like less than 30 frames
thanks for the review im gona pick up the q60 55"
Ask first for a demonstration of a game running at 120 hz. If it works, pls tell me how to achieve 120 hz at gaming!
This tv is good for the next gen consoles? I know that the games will play to 120hz.
I've subscribed to your channel
Welcome to the channel 😃, this TV will work but if you want to take full advantage of next gen consoles I suggest LG TVs, also the new 2020 Vizio models, check out this video for more details.

Hello from germany, my question is the free sync mode which ist just good for xbox x isn‘t it? The ps4 pro hasnt free synch. I ask because of shooter games like cod mw
Yes, ps4 pro doesn't have freesync only xb1x.
Does any one have a judder issue when just playing a game on movie mode but then switching to either natural or game mode it's reduced?
Have you testing on 43 inch of q60r? Available 49 ready by q60r. Same thing you testing on this one 55inch you already. Thanks
by the way, till 55 inch there is no 100 h refresh rate. Under 55 its 50h refresh rate.
Hello , does it works better with q90 ? Then with q70 or q60 ?
I only player shooter games online like PUBG and COD multiplayer.. is that 5/3 setting you mentioned good for those games? Is motion plus recommended at all or not even bother using it? I just got my tv but I aren’t even unboxed it yet.. you mentioned free sync for shooters so does that mean not even use motion plus
No, this is for slower singleplayers games, for competitive multiplayer games you need the real frames with lowest input lag and with no artifacts and ghosting to slow your eyes down. This TV has native 120Hz support in 1440p, so If you are on PC, use that.
is the Game enhancer mode available on Q9fn 2018.or is it in the new firmware update ?. loving your work as always.
Its only available in the 2019 models, hopefully Samsung adds it to their 2018 tvs.
Hopefully on all q6fn models, including 49' :(

The 42 inch is on sale is it worth buying for £526
I have a question and I believe you can help. Lol I know this might sound weird but I just bought this t.v in 55inch. I absolutely love the colors and the clarity however I only have a regular ps4 and running games at 1080p isn't really that sharp. I will be getting a ps5 as soon as it's realised and I'm hoping that the jump up to 4k will make games look much sharper and clearer then they are in 1080p. Will the jump up in resolution actually make it look any cleaner? Like as clear as my 27inch 1080p monitor? I hope so. Thank you.
Hi, yes it will look sharper than 1080p and also HDR will look better.
@@JoelsterG4k thank you

My TV is flickering when game mode is on. Why?
I got this model but I cant find free sync, can anyone help me pls?
Hello, how are you? Thanks for the video, it looks like you turned off the FreeSync option on television to use with the Xbox One, do you think it improves without FreeSync? I have Xbox one X on a Q6FN 55'', should I turn off FreeSync?
I turned it off to use Game motion plus feature, as I explained in the video. Freesync works best with FPS games like COD, BF5 etc.
@@JoelsterG4k Sorry, I was out of audio, I saw your video without audio, I just watched the options that you changed, so you recommend using FreeSync only for FPS games, for example racing games, do you also recommend to disable? Leave as you left set in the video?
I’m about to buy a q70r, does this really help smooth out 30 fps games? Great video btw!
Yes. AC Origins will take your breath. It's only a little problem when there is some fast movement in the picture. You will have some "artifacts".
Yes it absolutely does. Even retro games look smoother. has freesync variable refresh rate also which is compatible with new gen consoles and AMD graphics.
@@rextrowbridge8386 i have the q90t freesync works well its ok but for story game game motion plus is amazing specially if you can keep 60 fps you cant really feel the input lag at 21ms even with a mouse but for sp games its perfect feels smooth af
@@Cazanu417 Great tvs are they not. I wish I had a higher end model like yours but the edglighting on the q60r is actually better and much brighter then the low end back lit tvs. It gets around 600 nits in game mode which is actually very good for a edglit, and the contrast is excellent
@@rextrowbridge8386 i had a q7fn i think is like a q60r edge lit and i dont see much difference in brightness or picture quality on q90t while yeah local dimming is kinda better BUT only when there is something very very dark not the case of most games i also ruin it with msi afterburner as it lits up the fps counter, sadly now i dont play with motion plus because i play at 60fps and apart from smoother low camera movement actual action is the exact same not worth the small artifacts arouncd characters and a little dimmer hdr from my tests.
This may sound stupid, but I have an xbox one and was wondering if it also worked as well as the other consoles on this tv. Everyone only talks about the xbox one x..
Hi. What test did you use to meassure imput lag? Have you used any refresh rate test on this model? Im having big issues going over 60 hz. Can you recommend any test?
www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q60-q60r-qled
Game motion plus seems to work great for some games and not very well at all for others. I need to tinker with the settings and maybe do some research on exactly how the two sliders work, but for certain circumstances this feature is a game changer. I tried forza horizon 4 and both of the newer tomb raiders in their “quality mode” and found all three to work very well with blur and judder set to 10. It doesn’t feel exactly like playing a game at 120 FPS but feels significantly smoother than a straight 30 FPS. The input lag is good. I didn’t have the same ghosting issues or at least didn’t notice it in these games. Both of the first person shooters I tried felt much more rough and inconsistent, but they were 30 FPS games. Metro exodus looks “smoother” but also weird, the outer worlds desperately needs motion blur and then it would look fine with this mode turned on. The only 60 FPS game I tried was gears 5. It seemed to look great and feel smooth regardless of what i set the blur and judder to. It’s already so smooth that it seemed to interpolate well. I actually think the consistency of the base frame rate and what kind of anti aliasing the game uses play a huge part in how well game motion plus works. If the base frame rate feels choppy, it still feels choppy when interpolated. Also if the game tends to have ghosting it becomes more pronounced the higher you try to interpolate. For example in red dead 2 there isn’t a ton of ghosting with blur set to 10 and judder at 0, but it also doesn’t feel much smoother. If judder is turned up to 10 the ghosting becomes very distracting. I plan to try it out on a bunch of games but I only expect it to have a big effect on certain games, mainly racing games, 3rd person games and anything that already has a smooth 60 FPS to begin with (which doesn’t really need it). I love forza horizon so much though that I feel like I’m getting to play with quality mode and performance mode at the same time and totally justifies the features existence.
Andy Ward Bro, did you figure out the settings?
@@gamerdude1632 I think he's still out of breath!
Wassup bro wanted to know your feedback I recently purchased a q70r and feel like its way too bright on my eyes no matter how low I put the backlight, my eyes start hurting no matter how bright or low the backlight is. Not sure if the full array panel has something to do with this since I'm used to edge lit displays but would going from the q70r to the q60r be a difference like is the blacks really that noticeable on a edge lit vs a full array? Also I have heard that the colors looked washed out on the q60 when using game mode and HDR is this true? Im thinking about going back and just getting a q60 and saving some money if it really isn't that noticeable please let me know
usually by lowering the backlight the brightness is reduced...the Q60R is also a good Qled, I did a video comparison with the Q7FN and it looks great even in game mode.
You can also try adjusting the actual brightness or perhaps try adjusting the color settings. One thing I noticed is that the colors are sooooo vibrant at the default settings that it’s a little too much. Red was so red that it was distracting. I’m using the natural picture setting, I turned my color setting down to 25, adjusted the gamma settings one notch down, set my color tone to warm 1 and turned my contrast enhancer down to low and found the image tone more natural and it such an eye strain.
This sounds more like you are sensitive to the PWM backlight flickering, these Samsung TVs use 240 Hz PWM backlight and some ppl are sensitive to it (me too). Go to rtings.com, they review TVs and also check if the TV is flicker-free or not.

@@JoelsterG4k thanks for responding, I’m on budget now, which one will you go for between the two( 43Q60r or Tu8000 43) ?
@@noeldeartist The Q60R would be the best choice, Quantum dots enhances the picture quality.
What setting would you use for sports games like Madden
Joelster I need your help
I have 55' 4k smart tv samsung series 7 and it has all these features and it cost only 600$ i think
Do you get free sync with the 49 inch model?
No 9nly 55 and up.
I have the RU8000 and I am able to have both GMP and freesync on the same time?...
No
I have a ru 8000 also, i play on xbox one x, you cant have GMP and freesync at the same time, the tv dont allow it.
LG NanoCell SM8600 or Samsung 55Q60R 2019?
Lg nanocell. The inverse ghosting/coronas in game mode is horrible on the qleds. I bought a 65 inch Q90R. Never should of bought it :(
Blur at 10, judder 1 on Q60r works no ghosting on Red Dead 2. Why contrast enhancer on low and warm 1?
I actually use the same contrast enhancer and tone setting. The contrast enhanced on high is certainly brighter and more vibrant but I think it also causes details in very dark and light areas to degrade. I used the sunlit snow in forza horizon to make my mind up. A lot of the granular detail is lost when contrast enhancer is set to high. It’s just a preference but I can see why someone would prefer how much the image pops when contrast enhancer is set to high.
Andy Ward I'm still using a base Ps4 with this tv. So playing Red dead 2 I'm using 1080p HDR and sometimes this game blows me away with lighting and realism. But do agree with you on Contrast on low but it I can see a greyish tint when I switch back and forth. Couldn't imagine Xbox One X 4k native, love my Q60R overall
Andy Ward hi, can you please tell me the best settings for this TV. I am using Xbox one S. Thank you so much
