I have the Q60R and it’s great for me. I don’t make much money and for a entry level budget tv you cant complain :)
Q60R is a great TV! I recommend for anyone. Last one left in my area open box so I snatched it. I did have a NU8000 Crystal and that tv is not nearly as good as the Q60R.
I like how the Q60R can get really bright and the fact that it has 240 Motion Rate and 120 Refresh Rate!!
I was thinking about buying 55 inch Q60R but every tech geek is bashing on this tv and saying to opt for NU8000, so now I am double minded. Should I get this or NU8000? Is the picture quality superior to NU8000?
@@harrypotter416267 trust me I returned my NU8000. Not as good as advertised. It's REALLY dark at times. The Q60R is REALLY clear at 120 motion rate and 240 htz

Nice video! Q6FN(2018) models definitely look a lot better from the outside but the 2019s R starting to grow on me I just love Samsung tv's
From this year I think Q70R and higher models are the best choice.
I bought the new 8 series ru8000, pretty good all around budget TV for $550.00 and returned and exchanged for the q60r for a $150.00 more . I can say without a doubt this TV is by far a better picture. Up scaling non 4k sources is just great. I have a PS4 Pro and my golf game looks so much better.. I don't know about all the specs not a technical guy but I know for a 699.00 TV your not gonna find anything better in that price range..
The brightness look identical, and I have it in my bright ass living room and is not reflecting at all, if you want better quality than this should have bought a Q90R, considering i paid 478 bucks at best buy 2 weeks ago for this TV man, I'm in love with this tv!!
I just bought a 43 inches Q60R (It's for my bedroom which is not that big, I have a Samsung 1080p 40 inches from 2014 right now and it's already big enough), If 4K 120 fps was present on the 55 inches one, I might have bought the 55 inches but since it's only for 1440p, meh. Plus the 43 inches have a higher pixel density and is cheaper so I'm fine with that. Can't wait to receive it. 629€ for it is a steal !
How you finding the TV? Is it good for gaming?
@@robhewitt5640 I have no luck, in Europe the 43 inches model is a PLS (IPS) display. So my TV is very different, the american model have a VA panel. All I can say is that colors are absolutely great after some tweaks in the settings. It support full RGB range for my Switch and PS4, and the peak brightness is very good. Despite the EdgeLED, I have no backlight bleeding (I thought I had some, but it's just IPS glow). The sound is surprisingly good for 20W, quite clear with some bass. The 4K AI upscaling is fantastic, even 720p games look pretty clean on that TV. Blacks aren't fantastic since it's IPS, but they are still considerably better than my 2014 TFT screen. Sadly no VRR on the TV and no 120 fps. But for 4K, 1440p, 1080p, 720p 60 fps gaming, it's really good, even HDR is pretty great. Viewing angles are fantastic but that's an IPS exclusive, VA panels doesn't, but they have better blacks.
@@ThibautMahringer I was planning on buying the 49" Q60 European model but after reading your reply, I'm having second thoughts again. It's criminal how hard finding some of the specs is regarding the smaller models. I did so much research and I still don't know if it's a 120hz or 60hz display. I still don't know if it has FreeSync or not. Samsung says it does, reviews say it doesn't. Now you're telling me the European model isn't even a VA panel? What a shit show. (Edit: It seems only the 43" version of the Q60 is a PLS panel. The rest are all VA.)
@@AlienFreak69 49 inches Q60R is just the same as the 43 inches one. 60 fps and no VRR. I heard that the american 43 inches Q60R is also VA though. Sadly I'm French. In Europe it's PLS for the smallest 43 inches TV. And since the voltage output is not the same in France and in US I don't feel like importing a US TV is a great idea. VRR is the biggest lost for me, I actually don't care about 120fps because all Q60R sizes do not support 4K 120 fps, only 1440p 120 fps (HDMI 2.0a limitation), and since I bought that TV mainly for PS5, I'm all in for 4K, I don't want to play games at 1440p or at 1080p to have 120fps. If you plan to buy a Q60R, even in US, just pick the 55 inches one (higher is pointless in my opinion, because the whole point of 4K is high pixel density), it does have the whole package, VA, 120 fps (limited to 1440p but still nice to have) and VRR.
@@ThibautMahringer Same. I don't care too much about 120hz but the lack of VRR/FreeSync is a bit of a turn-off. I've looked at a lot of TVs and they either don't support VRR at all or only on the 55" and bigger versions. I can only fit a 50" TV so I can't go larger than that. After weighing all my options, I'm still leaning towards the Q60. How is it? Did you game on the Q60 yet? I'm curious to know if you noticed any screen tearing.
I asked in one of your videos a choice between Q60R and Q6FN. From this video I've got my answer. Q6FN it is. Would've gone for the Q7FN but in my region for some reason, the Q7F of 2017 is what's available. Thanks for your awesome TV reviews. Off to watch more 🏃

Which is better than the Q60R :p fuck quantum dot when the color volume is the same (check Rtings) and literally everything else about the Nu8000 is way better, except 5500:1 contrast, vs the Q60R 6200:1. Only thing the Q60R does better. The black level looks a tad better, but I use an ambient light anyway so it’s fine.
One thing I will admit from watching your videos, that I used to deny, is I do see that Xbox one X has a bit better graphics than ps4 pro. But I don’t see the point of buying one now when Im getting a better pc, and also ps5 is coming out next year.

On your review, on hdr with venom, it looks very similar to q7fn. brightness looks the same. why do you say its not that good with hdr?

They didnt keep the same price the q6fn when released was 1500 dollars this year it was released for 1199.99 dollars other then that great review guess what I did joelster I ended up splurging I got the Sony a9g yeah the king of TVs lol just picked it up 2 days ago it's the best overall TV experience I've ever had this is what I've been searching for with 12 TVs in the past year and a half so I have alot to compare it to and it is the best I've ever viewed and no more worries about backlight bleed or anything like that is a great feeling what really made me get this one is it's got amazing color volume as much as the q90r and that's amazing for an oled and yes it has the best color I've ever seen and the most accurate when wanted but me I like that extra pop so I set it as I like it but wow image quality is just outstanding they definitely refined the ultimate chip for the a9g it's just crazy good

@STEVEN SEAGAL no not at all there is more that goes into gaming then just inout lag and the lg c9 has a 13 ms input kag better pixel response time also making it where it feels even faster then an led more research about why people love gaming on oled TVs is a must keep in mind I own the q80r Samsung and my a9g even with the higher input lag feels just as good so again there is other things that go into gaming and it's just a great experience overall I dont trash TVs I like led TVs and oled TVs at this caliber nothing is garbage or trash

I was going to pick this TV up this week... I don't have a QLED tv and was told this was a good one to pick up for gaming, just gaming is what it will be used for... do you think I should stick with a 2018 model? I can pick this model up for about 1,000 or less.
If you can get the Q7FN from last year it would be much better, its around $1000 right now on Amazon or the Q6FN is also a great choice.

They are both around the same, the Q60R is slightly better because of Quantum Dot.

Go for the Sony XBR65X900F if you can. In US the pricetag on AZN are the same.

Hi I just purchased this tv QLED 65 inch R60. I keep trying to adjust the pitcher but looks nothing like the pitcher I see in the store. Very disappointed thinking about returning any suggestions before I go through the hassle?
I just bought this TV (65 inch) last week, and it's got worse picture quality, I don't why, I'm using Dynamic and Standard mode of course I changing the settings and nothing seems to work).. Hey joelster, I currently own a 55 inch LG OLED B8SLC. I game on it and it's great but I keep having problems with the brightness of the TV. I keep having issues with this thing called ABL and the TV sucks when in a bright room. Soon I'm gonna get an xbox one X and i was thinking of getting this TV to replace my OLED since I primarily game and watch TV and RUclips on my current OLED. Should I buy this model or wait until next year and see what the Samsung qleds offer? Like hdmi 2.1 and 4k 120hz?
I know hdmi 2.1 sounds promising but unless you really need to game at 4k/120hz you should wait, otherwise Samsung TVs already offer hdmi 2.1 features as I mentioned in the video.
Can I use a universal base stand mount on the 55 inch model? I plan to put it on my desk in my bedroom.

Over the M7 series yes, I don't know about the M8, it supposed to be better but overall I prefer Samsung, better OS, better and faster response, better for gaming.

There are 2 M series, the $600 dlls it has 400 nits and 16 dimming zones, then there is the $800 model with 600 nits and 90 dimming zones, its kinda confusing what Vizio is doing this year.

That's edge-lit clouding and normal for that, u should buy the Q70R that one has full array backlight! I myself got the Q90R, really a great tv but than again no budget model...

I just purchased the 55" QLED R60 T V and am very disappointed in the picture quality. I'm thinking of returning it. Anyone else having these same issues? If so, we're you able to resolve them and how?

JoelsterG4K The picture on your TV looks great, however the picture on my TV doesn't. I've only had the TV for a few days. The picture isn't sharp. The background white is so bright that it blurs the picture.
@@lindawells5207 I don't know, it could be the settings or maybe you got a defective TV but overall ot should look great, play around with the picture modes, dont use vivid or dynamic modes, I have plenty of videos where I share my settings.

I got one and returned it. Had a bad panel but the tv was decent. You can play the panel lottery if you want on amazon or at best buy will let you return as many as you want basically

No I didn't have any issues with freesync.
Reddit mentions it happens on Q70R and up. And it is supposed to have been fixed with latest firmware
I got a Q60R 49” and its sucks! I feel like my old Q6fn was better... i used my ps4 pro in it and color and sharpness was awful, it felt like the resolution was of a 1080p 😤 i will be returning it soon
I use it with the Xbox One X and it's great.

Just installed a 65" Q60R for a friend (myself i have a OLED b7) and the tv's HDR performance with a ps4 pro blew me away, every game looked damn sharp and the colors pop and it felt smooth, we also watched some netflix 4k content which also looked great and honestly i can't see a problem with this tv not being good enough for the average joe - btw. he only payed around 800 euro for it and yes the Q6FN is a better tv but don't exaggerate things.

@@SkyCrest the are lovely tvs..my only complaint is they are not very loud..so i would suggest a surround sound or a sound bar if you want better, i have a surround sound so its ok, but i would have definitely had to buy one of these otherwise.
Would happily change my q6fn for this, local dimming is the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen.

@darcy 809 I watch in a dark room only. Subtitles, game loading icons etc will make the screen flash. And it has to do with local dimming. They should have put an option to turn it off.
Hi. How do you enter the menu at 2:26? I've tried all menu buttons but yet don't find it.

@@JoelsterG4k d'oh. I thought it was from the menu from the TV. Thanks. Just a last question, do you see on the lower part a lil shadowing. My tv has it and 2 other I saw at a store do have as well a shadowing. May be half inch visible when the whole screen goes white or some monocolor scene.

Downgrade drom q6fn from 10bit to 8+frc and from 500nits to 300. Q60T also downgraded

They are both very similar, the Q90R has a few more features but I think the Q9FN a much better price right now.

Edge lits arent even bad. For dark rooms yeah but daylight they good as an oled, fald
