Love this just bought the q6fn today and man I still haven't set it up so excited almost overwhelmed I'm waiting until tomorrow to set it up I got so lucky because since the prices dropped they are all sold out besides the q9 of course because of price but the q6fn is gone everywhere I got an open box but I got lucky it was a display model and it was geek squad excellent certified so I think I got super lucky I paid 664 dollars for this tv of course the 49 inch but still that's a crazy price I got super lucky so excited and so happy with my choice so I only played 60 more dollars then the nu8000 and that's just crazy the nu8000 is a great tv and is also sold out all over the place because of price but to get a qled for almost the same price is a steal and on ratings and everywhere else the q6fn beats it slightly on scores and contrast and color and the brightness is the same and zip think the brightness is plenty especially going from a ku6300 to this is j uh st a huge leap a huge leap up it's an amazing tv and man am I happy also for gaming I've seen and heard so many good things it's also got a score of 8.2 for using it as a monitor that's just nuts and to get a score over 8 on ratings that's great especially for the price all grean lights and man the greens and reds are amazing on this tv I would say its def the specialty of this tv I've seen them already just waiting to set mine up when I'm a little more calm I've never been this excited about anything I've ever gotten except for my xbox one x but I still think I'm more excited for the tv because now I can use and see my xbox one x in the way it was meant to and the smoothness it's supposed to be and I'm actually happy about the 49 inch with gaming anything bigger then that just doesnt feel as good even with the 49 inch being only 6o hz the freesync and everything really helps it out and it looks just as smooth as the 55 inch and it looks a little sharper and more clarity and zip really really like that and I'm already used to Samsung's interface I'm so happy I stuck with samsung I was going to go with lg until I saw the ones in my budget and there peak brightness levels are shit and black levels are shit unless y ok y can afford an oled tv but I cant I got to get a very premium tv for a very good price and still saved some money idc what anybody says this tv is amazing and for the price even without it being on sale is worth every penny it is def a premium tv I would say it's a mid range but it really isnt just because the price was lowered to mid range it isnt it's slightly above mid range zip would say premium def because the nu8000 is the best mid range tv samsung makes and the q6fn is slightly better and above that so it's the lower premium or as some say budget premium tv thanks for the video because I'm happy I got to see it next to that model because that model is closest to the nu8000 the nu8000 would actually be the upgraded version of what you have but I've seen both side by side and there really identical on picture quality and zip will say the nu8000 and the q6fn are both the same on clarity but the q6fn has better color and better contrast making it a better tv from the jump once you have good contrast and good black levels the rest is usually pretty good and that's why this tv is up there with some of the best for the price and I would choose it any day over any other tv for the price 100 percent no brainer now the q9fn is just ridiculous maybe the best rv I've ever seen in my life I like it as much as s the top of the line lg the c7 and c8 to me at least and alot of other actually and for the price why wouldn't you get it period your paying 65 percent of the price and getting a tv as good or at least almost as good why not and the other great thing about me purchasing this tv is that when I got it tonight I have a 2 month return so they said if black friday comes around and I see a q6fn or q8fn that I like more and that's one sale I can return it and just pay the little extra so that's nice security right there if I get an itch I need to scratch but I dont think I will I've already fallen in love with it even before I've set mine up again I've seen them before and watched every single review and read every single thing I could before getting it just think about it as of last night I thought my budget would be like 500 then I saw the price of this and was like oh hell no I'll dish the extra out for this so that's why I feel so good right now never expected to ever get a qled tv I've wished for one but man I cant believe I own one now sry about how long this is I'm just a fan and I'm a fan of your channel and videos thanks for them and keep them coming
@@arthurgarcia3892 oh nice one someone leaves a long comment and somehow has to be on something good one it's called being excited about something I guess you have nothing to be happy about
Joelster should’ve opted for the q7fn. It’s the best edge lit qd before you get to the full array and it’s color performance outdoes the Q8FN. The q6fn is too low level to measure the 2018 qd with your KS8500. It’s not even officially uhd certified.
When you put them side by side you can see how the Q6 surpasses the KS, no matter what settings I use on my KS. Yes the Q7 is superior but is not worth paying $500 more.
Hi, I do not know much about HDR TV, but I want to buy one, I do not decide which one if it is NU8000 or q6fn. Which one you think is better for movies?
Plug you hdmi cable into port 1 and try it with hdr plus on it looks amazing for me and gives every game i play hdr and makes them look so much bettdr rdr2 for for sum reason it only looks better on port 1... 2 3 4 look crap and yellowish
i have this TV also have gigabyte speed and my wifi connection disconnects every hr or so. i had the main board changed out and wifi card changed out still same issue. i have no wifi issues on other devices at all what so ever. cannot recommend this tv
I really have a problem with HDR on my Q6FN. It's all really washed out and dark....i dont like it because it's so damn washed out. The only nice video's i get is from the build in youtube app and checking out the video's from "The HDR Channel". But why is the most content in HDR so lifeless, SDR is more vibrant and full of life. I really dont get it :(
I don't know what content you watch or how your settings are or what your tv is connected to because all the HDR content I have used on this tv and several other ones I have reviewed looks beautiful, I have done comparisons as well and the difference is noticeable, especially in gaming.
@@JoelsterG4k Yeah in gaming i really can see the differences between SDR and HDR. On RUclips 4K HDR works fine, but then i use Netflix (build in app) and when i start HDR content it's not so bright and i seems that lots of color has been lost. Also all the 4K HDR videos on THE HDR CHANNEL are really looking good, but then i start 4k HDR content on nettflix and everything is really washed out and super dim.
Hi joelster. I found movie mode to be too dark compared to the other picture modes. But even in standard mode, i found the picture to be too dim in dark scenes. I also noticed that the blacks are not as black. I own an LG 65c7p and i think my eyes have been spoiled by the perfect blacks that everything else look grey.
hdr doesn't suppose to be just bright. It supposes to make difference between paper white and highlights(sun, lamps etc) with giving more details in highlights. DC make paper white close to highlights and kills details. DC can looks better in direct comparissons, however if you'' give a chance to real HDR with true EOTF gamma you never go back to DC, because eyes can easilly adopt to more dim(and natural) image, but we cant forget detailed clouds, sunbeams. I do not advocate, but recomend to read this article www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/4k-vs-201604104279.htm
Honestly I think the ks is better. Measure the nit brightness and color gamut and I believe the 8500 is superior. The q6fn, as joelster says, is the baseline qled but although the price jumps up drastically when upgrading to the q7fn, you’re going to all around better performance with certified uhd.

Damn infinity war looks good on that TV, Rt rating said only 900 E and 900 F better at this price range.
Could be but not by much.
@@JoelsterG4k That's what I was saying.
Is this the best tv i could get for under 1k?
JaySwish Gaming one of it you can buy Q7fn that is one higher
You rock as usual. What are your settings for standard tv or netflix, amazon, etc.
I use these settings for Netflix, Amazon..I havent tried Standard just yet.
@@JoelsterG4k awesome my tv was great but after your settings its amazing. I am still stunned by how great it looks for being edge lit. If you get the chance try the Q7 I know its pricey but I rtings.com said it had one of the widest color gamuts they have seen. And if I'm blown away by this one I can only imagine Q7. And it's nice to finally have something comparable to flagship ks8000
@@JoelsterG4k is this TV native 4k or upscaled?
My eyes hurt and I get a headache when using 50 Brightness, especially in the samsung menu and auto brightness doesnt really work for me, any tipp what to use for night and day?
I've played around with his settings, it's pretty stock but I agree with the brightness. In a dark room with no screen reflection I have brightness at 13, I find it's the perfect tone. Day time or lights on in the living room I go no higher.than 30. The menu is still ridiculously bright at 30 but I'm not watching a movie with the menu displayed
Me too when I use 50 brightness, my eyes start to hurt and I need to turn on the lights :(
Thank you 👌
Can you recommend game mode settings for the Q7FN?
I would like to know aswell
Great video joelster! :) i would just like to ask if this tv is good for gaming? im planning to buy this tv primarily for watching movies and as a pc monitor, your comments are much appreciated, thanks in advance and more power!
Thank you, yes this is a great tv for gaming, it has freesync, or the option of 1440p/120hz, and great motion and picture for movies.
cool :) in your personal opinion, is the price difference worth it compare to NU8000? In my country the q6fn is $300 more expensive than NU8000.
@@jacobkatipunan6392 I'm no pro but I found that NU800 had a lot of blurring wgile watching regular TV. My 6QF Didn't have it as much. Helped me decide. Not bad.

Si, aun sigo comparando ambas tvs y la Q6 se ve mucho mejor.
How can i add sleep timer on the gome screen like u ? min 1:44
Witch tv is brighter?
Mejoro el Q6fn en ángulos se visión?
No, siguen igual.
You are the best !!!! 😤👍👍
Yet it runs native 4K. Having a sticker of certification doesn’t mean the world.
I have this TV but I use it for gaming only. For movies I have a Sony XBR930E and I'm going to say, the Sony beats Samsung Qled hands down.
Hi, I do not know much about HDR TV, but I want to buy one, I do not decide which one if it is NU8000 or q6fn. Which one you think is better for movies?
Q6FN.
What i the best 4K HDR TV with FALD under $1,500?
Vizio P Series Quantum

X900f Sony, LG sk9500 or lower end oled. Q8fn possibly.
Is q6fn have better peak brightness against x900e?
I've never tested the x900e but the Q6 has excellent peak brightness.
hows the viewing angles
VA tvs viewing angles are all the same, but Quantum Dot does help a bit.

HDR+ is off?
Plug you hdmi cable into port 1 and try it with hdr plus on it looks amazing for me and gives every game i play hdr and makes them look so much bettdr rdr2 for for sum reason it only looks better on port 1... 2 3 4 look crap and yellowish
Whne I turn the movie mode on it doesnt say hdr? How come?
Do you have an HDR movie playing.? Did you turn on UHD colors on the tv.?
JoelsterG4K yes and yes
So having HDR off dosent effect picture quality on HDR movies?
That´s HDR+, it´s an enhancer, not a switch. HDR works automaticallt.
i have this TV also have gigabyte speed and my wifi connection disconnects every hr or so. i had the main board changed out and wifi card changed out still same issue. i have no wifi issues on other devices at all what so ever. cannot recommend this tv
Gigabyte speed! you lucky ass :)
I am a fan of samsung and I still have the old js 9000. But this year the best is the Sony FX900.
49 or 55 inches?
55" all the way.
@@mrstief7168 try using dynamic contrast on medium or high, that helps a lot.

@@JoelsterG4k Channels like sports channels, channels, and so on
@@محمدزيزو-و5ر You can watch anything on this TV, I use netflix for the most part.
If you leave ks8000 with dynamic contrast on high might look even better then Q6
I did try that before the video but colors looked very washed next to the Q6 and I wanted this to be fair.
DC should be off if you want real HDR gamma curve.
@@lolol123lolol100 It gets very dim if you turn DC off, I dont appreciate the picture like that, personal choice.
hdr doesn't suppose to be just bright.
I do not advocate, but recomend to read this article
www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/4k-vs-201604104279.htm
If this is an edge lit TV why are the top and bottom bars completely inky black? What is at play here?
Honestly I think the ks is better. Measure the nit brightness and color gamut and I believe the 8500 is superior. The q6fn, as joelster says, is the baseline qled but although the price jumps up drastically when upgrading to the q7fn, you’re going to all around better performance with certified uhd.
Motion plus should be turned off completely when watching movies.
How come ?
