Actually “Function is Beauty” happens to be the trademark of the Mont Bell Corporation and they apply this phrase to their entire catalog of items. It is not Citizen Watch interpreting the specific design of this watch.
Have a Nighthawk and Blue Angel Citizen. A real bitch to set up. Recently got them down. Put them in my window sill for a few days. Took them out. They were to the second in time. I like the model you displayed better. Far less clutter and provides great features. I have a few quartz watches. A Bulova moon watch too and a Seiko Flight master. But what you pay for my Citizens. It's hard to beat for the price. The Bulova was a tad more. But love the chronograph features and accuracy. Ordered a boldr meca quart. Do to a mistake on their part on a watch which never was delivered and had a mind changed. They cancelled the order and gave me a $100 credit. So ordered one of their new meca quartz chronograph which ended up being $100. Always wanted to check one out. Should come any day.
Hey! Leave the citizen reviews to my boy Jeffery McMahon! Man citizen has the best ticking second hand. Dead on, no backlash. I wish they would jam that movement and dial into a diver case.
I think its a cool watch, its got some cool features, for me I do prefer the autos, its like an auto watch has a beating heart, its got soul. I do still rock some quartz watches from time to time.
Only one thing to be the perfect traveler beater and that one thing is the quick adjust bracelet a thing that citizen has in many other watches. Why Citizen? Why?
I get the atomic timing feature but the time zone feature? Just unscrew crown and move it 2 hrs ahead there’s you time zone feature done manually by hand not very complicated!
The draw is to do it while keeping the timekeeping going so your not off by a few seconds. It might sound a little silly but it is a nice feature to have
Will the watch receive the time syncing signal in the US? I’ve read contradicting answers. I noticed in the video it indicated a failed sync. My Gshock syncs, no problem (I live in the northeast).

Wow! I've got to manually reset my Seiko every couple of weeks (It runs about a second fast per week_. I don't mind, I reset everything about once a month. But it's supposed to do that itself.

It seems that this version, the limited edition, has blue-ish white lume whereas the cb0177-97e has normal citizen “green” lume. Am I correct?

Depends on where you leave it. If I have it covered up it doesn't. If its laying on my table it gets it

J. City Reviews - I bought two other Citizen titanium units. Returned one with no issues but hacks to cover shipping.
How come we can't easily get so many of these cool Japanese models from Citizen, Casio, etc., in the U.S.? The whole JDM thing kind of sucks.
Aesthetically I think it’s really quite cheap looking , stylish it’s not however the features are top Class so it balances things out.
