Back when families gathered around the TV to watch "event programs".
This was not TV. This was an "Event". Everyone I knew watched this. Everyone.
Regrettably, in Germany it had been banned from TV at first due "to mature Content and cruelety" Even decades later the German TV version was cut down so I had bought the DVD in English. Every time I watch it I enjoy it

as a young kid this was my faV show.
Final Battle left the strongest imagery for me. Opening dream sequence with Mike and Sean running down the mothership corridor is so well done- particularly seen now as a parent.

I had the pleasure of attending the series on my TV, in the decade of 80. The plot of an alien conspiracy left us stuck chapter after chapter. Simply amazing!

The TV trailers were fun. They had their own eerie music score and made the drama more intense.
It was wonderful to watch them for a teen. Now almost 26 years later still i love it. The era of science fiction series was great. If only the new generation could experience these.
The V theme music is iconic. The other iconic TV show from this time was Miami Vice.

This was such a great show! I was in 5th grade and used to watch it on Sunday night. On Monday all of us at school used to recap the episodes. I had a crush on Donovan 😄 I still remember when the lizard twins were born! That freaked me out.
So sad how Hollywood has been giving us a look into the horrors that are coming upon the earth! This is more than just a movie series!

I didn't catch the original series when it aired, but caught Final Battle as a result of seeing this. Then they reran the original and watched that too.
Same story for me. I saw The Final Battle first, and then I bought the big novel so that I could read everything from the Original Mini-Series. It was finally in 1984 when they aired all 5 parts to lead into V: The Series that I finally got to see the Original 2 parter. I was so disappointed that the Visitors didn't have an alien voice in The Series. That's a huge plot point to leave out! I had also bought the series of V novels and comic books.
Just got done watching Part 2 of the Original with my daughter. I thought I'd do a search for the original Final Battle promo, and yep... it brought me here. :-)

Got the mini series and the final battle on BLU RAY yesterday along with the 2 new seasons I've just started the mini series today and I'm really enjoying it

That's what I always loved about the classic "V" show. Instead of demonizing all reptilians and draconian people, it clearly demonstrates there are two factions of us: 1) the hostile ones who push for NWO and total enslavement of humanity and 2) the turncoat rebels who reject the NWO agenda and want to help humanity to evolve without enslaving anybody and thus have a different idea of a world order.
My group DA2K has always been a reptilian turncoat rebel group. We are smaller in number globally and not so strong as the NWO reptilians, but we play our role too behind the scenes. In that sense this classic science-fiction series is not so ficticious after all. There are things in it which are true. Other things are purely symbolic. And others are fiction. It's a mix of everything which makes it very interesting and entertaining to watch.
I wish they'd developed the Fifth Column more in the miniseries.

I rewatched the Final Battle recently and just found the soundtrack. There should be a movie version like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings series.

V was a must see TV. It was a epic series that had people glued to there “idiot box” I say that with humor cause this idiot was glued . As a kid this was everything.
When I play XCOM 1 or 2, it allways reminds me at the classical VISITORS series.

Yeah..One of them was pretty but grew too fast as the little baby Elizabeth but the other baby was a MONSTER lol! Horrifying. I liked this series a lot though and it was fantastic in the mid eighties.
