I just love watching you and your mom cook/bake together. I lost my mom in 2009 so I live vicariously through you two. Thanks for being that inspiration to me !
I know this feeling exactly, my darling Mum passed away 2018 and I miss her everyday and especially Christmas 🎄 we’d make plum puddings together and listen to Christmas carols. I have the best memories 😇😇😇
Me too, I lost my mum in 2018 and I miss her every day. I have photos of her on my fridge so I can still see her every day and I talk to her as I’m cooking and things. Then it still feels like she’s with me.
Your mom bragging on you reminds me of my mom. I was an only child and homeschooled but she always takes every opportunity to talk about how I was “the best in my class”, “took first place in the spelling bee”, or “won the geography bowl”. So awesome to see a mom who puts her kids first and brags on them!❤️
Your Mum is amazing and watching you two together is an absolute joy. She is so proud of you and it shows in every video not only in her smiles when she looks toward you and her wonderful laugh, but also her anecdotes.
Aw your mom is lovely! Now I know where you get your love for cooking and baking from. The best thing in life is to share and cook in the same kitchen with your mom. Great jobs ladies!
Becky. Because you showed your success and failure, I was able to start canning. You have a wonderful attitude about jumping in and trying things whatever the outcome. You are open to learning and are an inspiration to others. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Yes! I started being more carefree in the kitchen because she shows real life failures in the kitchen. Boosted my confidence so much watching her, not because her failures make me feel like I'm doing better, but that failures are part of every kitchen adventure.
Oh Susan you just gave me a long lost memory, The Galloping Gourmet! You and I parallel such experiences as my dad too was the fancy cook and LOVED The Galloping Gourmet. Wasn’t he from Louisiana? My mother too was a wonderful cook and also did the day to day cooking always having a hot lunch waiting for us when we walked home from school. But…dad was always in the kitchen trying new things he had tried in restaurants on his business travels and in his retirement years typed up all of his master pieces as well as our family favorites leaving those tasty dishes and his love of cooking for us to enjoy and remember him now that he is gone. A true blessing. I just love watching you and Becky cook together. Thank you both for sharing your time and fun in the kitchen with the rest of us. 💕
Becky you are such an entertaining young woman and I can see how you and your mama love cooking together. I lost my only daughter on April 6th 2021 to cervical cancer at the age of 34, she also loved to cook and was very good at it, way better than me. She would cook and plate her dishes then send me pictures of it, I miss her terribly . For some reason watching you brings me comfort. Your mama must be so proud of you, I know I would be. Enjoy your time together making memories for we never have a guaranteed tomorrow. ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. I lost my precious Daughter 2-2-20 to breast cancer. She was 48. She was an amazing cook & I miss her so much. Life is supposed to go on, but my heart still breaks every day. I'll never have her incredible pasta salad again or see how proud she was to use her Kitchen Aid stand mixer. 💗
I SO LOVED your Mom's story of your Dad doing the special cooking and your mother doing the everyday cooking. It was like she was telling my story of my Mom & Dad all the way down to him watching the Galloping Gourmet (minus coming home at lunch). My Dad won a write in recipe cooking contest where they picked so many people to come and cook in the contest and he won Grand Prize for it. It was for Lasagna . He was a Fireman and he was the cook on his shift. The name he gave the dish was "Fire House Lasagna" feeds a family of 8 or 4 hungry Firemen Thank your MOM for the Memory!
You can use a stainless steel bar of soap or rub the inside of your sink if it's stainless steel with cold water running to get any oils off your hands, jalapeno oil, onion oil, fish oil, citrus oil, essential oils ... anything hot or smelly. No more burning
I think your Mom's organizational technique is super! I do have a suggestion for your recipes. We have started printing out our recipes and then putting them in sheet protectors. We keep them in a 3 ring binder and pull them out when we want to make them. This protects them from splatters and spills, but also allows us to take it out and make notes that are there for the next time we use it. A couple of years ago for Christmas, I put together new binders for the 4 grandkids. I asked family members for their most requested or favorite recipes. Then I scanned the original recipe, stains, notes, and all. Then I went in and gave each recipes' family history and ingredient substitutions. (Oleo? The kids had no idea.) I included about 10 more empty page protectors for them to continue collecting recipes. It was a fun gift and we all had fun looking through the recipes. It was neat to have Grandma's handwriting and notes passed on for the future.
I love how your mom pops into the frame to speak to us. It makes me giggle each time💖 I also ditto the thought of her with her own cooking channel … or maybe she could do a recipe on your channel each week.(like “cooking with mom Mondays, etc) You are both great together😊
I watch the Galloping Gourmet too. I'm 63 now and you brought back a memory for me. Watched him cook, but never made anything he made. I love that y'all get together and cook for these parties. Such fun to see y'all cook all these recipes.
The way your mom organizes recipes and preps the day before is life changing. I love watching the days you cook together and prep for parties and especially the tips for preparing for holidays!!!
If you spray the inside of your measuring cups anything you measure that is sticky slides right out. Also laying a wooden spoon across a boiling pot helps to prevent it fr boiling over, especially potatoes!
I have that exact cookie sheet, it’s the perfect pan. If u ever get water inside,u can dry it in a oven. Just turn the oven on for 5 minutes and leave it in ur oven until oven cools.

@@susanjones3177 can you have Becky post the oatmeal cranberry cookie you did. They look amazing but the the recipe linked doesn’t have oatmeal, pecans or white chocolate chips so I’m not sure it’s the same one.
I loved watching the Galloping Gourmet! That man never spilled a drop of wine LOL. I learned to cook with my father, who had to learn after my mother passed when I was 12. All 5 of us kids love to cook, and the memories that *his* recipes bring back are priceless. For all of us, the kitchen is the true heart of the home! I think you are correct, cooking is genetic lol. I love watching the two of you cook together, thank you for sharing parts of your life with us
Your mom is so organized! What a delightful vlog. And the food looks delicious. I am almost 70 and loved Graham Kerr, the Galloping Gourmet. He used clarified butter only. His wife Treena, produced the shows I believe. They were filmed in Toronto, Ontario🇨🇦
When we got married, 40+ years ago, got a 5-piece set of Galloping Gourmet wooden spoons. Three have gone the way of the wind; but still have and use the other two.
I love these mother/daughter videos. You work so well together , your mother’s years of experience and hints are helpful. Your recipes are amazing. Any a chance of you doing a cookbook together ?
Oh PLEASE YES!! I would be one of the thousands ordering one!! I have Cooking with Brenda Gantts first one, (It's Gonna Be Good Y'all) and have the second one (I think it's called Lingering Around The Table) on order, love her recipes, personal stories and faith!! Good Southern "Big Mama" food (her nickname from the grandchildren just like Brenda's mom was to Brenda's children, and Brenda's grandmother to Brenda/passed down thru generations), sorry, I digress...Brenda's book took about a year plus to get published and distributed and the publisher (Hoffman Media and 83 Press), did a fantastic job!! I know it's not just a fly by ur pants undertaking, it takes up any extra time u have available but, it can be passed on to ur children, their children and so on, plus, all the followers/fans could do the same for their families and friends!! In this day and age, very few 20 to 30 yr olds know how to make things by scratch, it's pre-packaged, instant, etc...there are I'm sure more Becky's out there that want to learn how without a background like Becky's or didn't grow up around grandparents, older relatives that cooked/baked that way, so PLEASE, PLEASE, seriously, seriously consider this idea, "we" (u) won't be sorry, I promise!! Love u two together, I miss cooking with my grandma and mom so much but was lucky to continue to cook like them, their legacy, and my children have learned from me!! Thank u for reading my seriously begging self's comment!!💖😊💖
Love watching your mother and you cook together it reminds me of my mom and I! She’s been gone for 11 years on May 23. Y’all are such a blessing! Thank you for sharing!
your mother is a precious cupcake and i appreciate every time she shows up with you. what a great tv personality and guest chef :)) i wish me and my mom were as close as you two are, its absolutely wonderful to see!
Loved watching the Galloping Gourmet on PBS. I love watching these group cooking videos. My grandma used to make food with my help but my mother was more of a get out of the kitchen while I'm cooking type of person
Cookie sheets are designed for cookies, that's why they are 'insulated' and have one side with a lip and the other side is completely flat so you slide the cookies off instead of potentially messing them up with a spatula. All other trays are baking trays, they are supposed to sear/brown your food and they have lip surrounding to keep in all the juices and liquids 😄
I am terrible with cooking multiple items. I cook one thing at a time, I can’t seem to multitask. Watching you both is so inspirational. I love your party timeline plan too.
My mom loved the Galloping Gourmet! I can picture him now with his glass of wine, explaining things with his lovely accent. My mom was a very good cook. Sadly she passed away when I was in my twenties and there have been many times through the years that I wish I had her recipe for something. I admit I get envious watching the two of you cook together but I enjoy watching you, very much! I absolutely love Becky’s channel🌸
Dynamic Duo once again! Hello Susan…please don’t make us wait too long between your guest appearances. Menu’s look fantastic I’m sure tasted even better. Loved the Butterfly Cake. Sorry to hear your sister is leaving the state. Becky, thank you for sharing!
I have also been watching Jennifer on at country life for years. I think she is the best kept secret on RUclips. She doesn’t have near as many subscribers does I think she deserves. Anyway I just love it when you mention her on your channel and give her credit for the recipes and ideas and stuff you get from her.
Hi Becky and Mum, I'm in the UK and my Mum loved watching Graham Kerr, the galloping gourmet, I used to watch watch him with her. Great memories as my Mum passed away in July 1995. Did you know that Graham Kerr is now 88 years young? I love the the video's that you do and I enjoy the cooking ones just as much as the gardening ones and the food preservation ones. Say a big Hello to your Mum for me from the UK please. Can't wait to see the next videos hope the parties went well and thank you for taking the time to share all of this with us all 👍👍
Your mom is the sweetest mom on the planet!!!! Just love watching the two of you work together in the kitchen!!!!! Beats any reality TV nonsense we would be stuck watching otherwise on tv! The recipes are fantastic too can't wait to try these! I used to watch the Galloping Gourmet as a kid on tv on the weekends I think it used to air on KCTS9 channel that we had on tv in the late 80's as reruns up here in British Columbia Canada just north of you, that and Julia Child and the other cooking shows on the weekend made me want to learn how to cook!
Ag! I made your "butter" rolls but with plant based butter and your lasagna bolognese with coconut milk and almond milk and plant based "cheese" for my dairy free kiddo. BOTH WERE SO GOOD! We have been missing lasagna but I felt defeated making it because I always made it with a bunch of cheese and ricotta and alternative recipes were full of veggies that my kids didnt feel like was a lasagna (they love veggies but missed the old fav) Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I just want to echo the majority of these comments and saythat watching the two of you in the kitchen together is a joy to behold! For many of us who have lost their mothers, It gives us a sense of peace and happiness watching you work together so lovingly. Thank you so much for providing this content and blessings to you both!
Susan - tear pieces of parchment and put them just under the edge of your cake before you start decorating. Leave them big enough to catch the frosting spillage around the cake and when you're done just pull them out. You're left with a nice clean plate or board underneath for presenting.
The pickle/ham roll ups are called frog eyes in my neck of the woods. Just loved watching you all working together to tackle that huge party menu! Did your mama ever get one of those utensils for ground meat? If not, a squiggly potato masher works really well too. People must fight over invites to your family get togethers!
Always such a pleasure to watch you and your mom in the kitchen together, reminds me so much of times I spent in the kitchen with my grandmother over the years...how I wish I could have a little of that time back!!
I know this is a older video few months ago it popped up and I had to watch it bc your mom is in it she is a jewel I just love watching you guys in the kitchen you are blessed with a great mother bond ❤
My mother LOVED the galloping gourmet! He used to drink wine while he was cooking. I can remember watching with her and my mom used to have a glass of wine with him.
Yes! The galloping gourmet! I remember well!! Today I fried dandelion flowers and picked rhubarb out of my garden. Love watching you and your mom preparing for parties!
I enjoyed the variety of your party menus! Lots of yummy recipes I could use at future get togethers. I envy you having your mom there to share all these preps together! Susan
I maserate my raisins in hot brandy or hot water. I have also done my cranberries the same way. Even turkish figs may be maserated as well. In some cultures red wine, brandy, rum, rose water- the secret is heating the liquid. I have even used the microwave to put the dried fruit and liquid to maserate quickly. Use your imagination to play with your flavors. This process has a subtle taste and does not dominate the flavor profile of the recipe.
Oh gosh, I used to watch The Galloping Gourmet with my mum and nana. I'm from the UK. One day I came home from work for lunch and my nana had been watching him. She thought she would make the recipe for me for lunch, the only problem was we didn't have wine but we did have elderberry wine, so she used that. It was absolutely disgusting lol! We laughed about that for many years. Fond memories of those who are no longer with me. I love watching you both. Such a loving family xx
Your mom is so gracious and sweet. I would have loved to watch her on her own channel. I hope she comes more often on your channel! I am so impressed with how both of you made so many recipes in one day ! I’m exhausted just watching y’all!! Ha!
My daughter has had the same type of cookie sheets for years. She makes cookies all the time. It is her stress relief. With five kids they don’t last very long at all. The muddy buddy cookies and the rice salad were making me drool.
What a sweet momma! We are building our homestead right now and my parents will be building a house on the land as well. I can't wait to have moments like this with my own momma!
Please can you start releasing videos at least every hour?! I AM OBSESSED!! I’ve only just discovered you but I’ve gone back and nearly watched every video you’ve done. I love your attitude and the love you show. You go gurl! ♥️
Wow! Phenomenal! My Mom always said, "Many hands make light work." She's been gone since 1998, so I love that you can spend so much quality time with your Mom! Enjoy the parties!
My goodness I remember the Galloping Gourmet, how about the Frugal Gourmet and of course, Julia Child. I definitely feel old remembering that. 🤣🤣🤣. Happy cooking and baking, Debbie
I used to watch the Galloping Gourmet with my mom. She was a very good cook! She also used to exercise everyday with Jack Lalanne. Boy, are we going back some years! LOL. It is such a delight watching you and your mom cooking together in the kitchen. What a blessing it is that you still have your mom. I miss mine very much. Hugs to you both. 🤗🤗
I've never heard or even seen a rice salad on a menu in Africa or England! I'm definitely going to have to try it. The bread is now a demand around here. I don't know why I so this to myself. I love your personality and the love I see in your family. Its a beautiful thing.
You guys are great, you make me miss my mom, grandma and sisters, we used to cook up a storm for holidays. One Christmas holiday my oldest sister taught me how to make pie crust, we made 10 pies. Lol
I came across your YT channel like two or three days ago and have been watching you ever since. I just love how energetic and resourceful you are! Sending hugs and love from Poland!
Yes! Finally getting to watch this now, I've been looking forward to this one. Love you guys cooking together!! Your mom is awesome, I'm glad she wants to just be on your channel and keep it something fun for her. You can tell how much she enjoys it and that's why it's so fun to watch!
I love your videos and have learned several different ways to do things just by watching how you do them in the kitchen. I've also enjoyed using the bits of wisdom and cooking tips that you share as you're doing things. Here's one from me! If you want your molasses (or honey or syrups) to come out of your measuring cups without sticking so much, just spray it with cooking spray first and PRESTO! It slides right out! Have a great day ladies, and keep up the good work!
Becky!!!! I love watching your channel ☺️ I always enjoy watching you and your mom cook all those amazing goodies. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great content.
We have ham (and turkey. roast beef, etc) roll ups often at parties. And yes, my mom has made them since the early 70's. We do olives and pickled pearl onions with the onions being my favorite by far. Will try pickles next time though.
We absolutely love having you (Susan) on Becky's channel when you can be there. Even your beautiful heart warming greetings. And the Galloping Gourmet...YES, I was little when he had his show and we watched him often. I was just thinking that you (Susan) are most likely younger than me but now I am not so sure that we don't have the same age range. All because you mentioned the aforementioned chef on t.v. LOL
I love how you both tag team these cook days. And mom, you don’t have to post as much as Becky does. Even if you did an episode once a month, we would all watch. Happy Mother’s Day to you.
My Padre and Abuela were the cooks in my family, my mom was not much of a cook, although she could make the best fried chicken from scratch. And yes I completely agree because cooking runs in my family and something that is definitely instilled in me and I Absolutely LOVE cooking and baking 🙋🏼♀️😋 😍 😊 💝👩🏼🌾👩🏼🍳 Love Always and God Bless Ya'll 💕 🙏
I love watching you and your lovely mother shopping, prepping and preparing dinner meals together. I have learned a lot of shortcuts for meal preparations from watching the both of you! Thanks so much for sharing all the recipes and tips!
I have the sand cookie sheets! I’ve had mine for over 20+ years and was so excited to find them again recently and I bought more! Best cookie sheets ever. Love you guys cooking together. This is giving me all the ideas for the coming holidays
So do I. Hubby brought it into our marriage 40+ years ago. And to think I almost pitched it last year in favor of my non-stick ones. Thank you, Susan, for the lesson re why it's better!
I love watching you all cook together. I feel like I am apart of the family 😊. Can’t wait to try those cookie recipes and the meatballs. 😋 great job on the butterfly cake!
You are truly amazing! Looks like your mother was a big part of that. You are so diverse in the kitchen, simple, and lean on the healthier versions..my favorite channel! Thanks for all you do. So inspiring

I love your party prep videos because I live very far from my family and really miss being involved with the huge parties they have .
Can't wait to see the next videos hope the parties went well and thank you for taking the time to share all of this with us all 👍👍
So lovely watching you and your mum
Cooking together.
Whenever I don't feel motivated to cook dinner ill watch one of your party prep videos and it never fails to get me excited to cook. Thank you!!
That is the greatest name for those! I love it 😀
That’s what we call them too! I put mine in a tortilla with shredded cheese and slice them up. Soooo good!
Loved The Galloping Gourmet!....I have 1 of his cookbooks! This is such a great video...
That was my Dads favorite also. He always drank on air
Yes! The galloping gourmet! I remember well!! Today I fried dandelion flowers and picked rhubarb out of my garden. Love watching you and your mom preparing for parties!
I absolutely love your mom. I love watching you both cook, shop together. Your dad is so sweet and funny. Lovely family.
What a blessing to cook with your mom! I love all your content, keep them coming. stay safe....
I agree. That would be wonderful! And I would come help you all eat it too.
Your mom is so wonderful! Love her. Becky you are so fortunate to have her.
Wow!
Your mom is awesome! I am 49 and still have mine thank goodness. Happy Mothers Day!
You guys are great, you make me miss my mom, grandma and sisters, we used to cook up a storm for holidays. One Christmas holiday my oldest sister taught me how to make pie crust, we made 10 pies. Lol
I loved that your mother and dad worked with you. You are so blessed
I came across your YT channel like two or three days ago and have been watching you ever since. I just love how energetic and resourceful you are! Sending hugs and love from Poland!
Love watching you two cook, makes me miss my mom cooking with her in kitchen!
Everything looks fantastic! Thanks Becky and Mom for bringing us along…and yes, I remember the Galloping Gourmet lol.
I love watching your mom
Cooking and prepping for your parties! I miss my
Momma!!! Love love your videos!!!!
Excellent recipes as always. I especially love the birthday cake, one lucky little girl to have a cake made and decorated by loving grandparents.
Becky, your Mother and you are the kindest, sweetest souls ever. Thanks for sharing.
Becky!!!! I love watching your channel ☺️ I always enjoy watching you and your mom cook all those amazing goodies. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great content.
Love that Momma Becky is so involved. Y'all supporting each other so wholeheartedly is absolutely lovely.
I'm in love with the tiers of cookies and the cake your dad designed 🍪
He did a great job!

Yes he did & your Mom did an awesome job on the butterfly 🦋 cake decorating 🏆💞🙆♀️❣
What an awesome family y'all are ❣🙆♀️🥰💞🙋♀️
I am enjoying Becky's channel. And to see you both cooking together is a real treat. Where does Beccy get her energy. Thankyou girls. ❤
We have ham (and turkey. roast beef, etc) roll ups often at parties. And yes, my mom has made them since the early 70's. We do olives and pickled pearl onions with the onions being my favorite by far. Will try pickles next time though.
Yes loved that cooking show.
What a lovely surprise to refresh RUclips and see a video of yours! I’m excited to continue to follow your success and learn from you. Hi to your mom!
You and your mom work so well together..the family is so fortunate
My Padre and Abuela were the cooks in my family, my mom was not much of a cook, although she could make the best fried chicken from scratch. And yes I completely agree because cooking runs in my family and something that is definitely instilled in me and I Absolutely LOVE cooking and baking 🙋🏼♀️😋 😍 😊 💝👩🏼🌾👩🏼🍳
Love Always and God Bless Ya'll 💕 🙏
I love watching you and your lovely mother shopping, prepping and preparing dinner meals together. I have learned a lot of shortcuts for meal preparations from watching the both of you! Thanks so much for sharing all the recipes and tips!
Hello Becky and Mama! Love watching y’all cook and shop together💕💕
I have the sand cookie sheets! I’ve had mine for over 20+ years and was so excited to find them again recently and I bought more! Best cookie sheets ever. Love you guys cooking together. This is giving me all the ideas for the coming holidays
I love watching mother and daughter in the kitchen. Becky is there a recipe posted for the sauce used with the meatballs?
I love your mom. I lost mine in 2016 and watching the two of you in the kitchen together feels like she's still here.
I have that cookie sheet, looks exactly the same, well seasoned!
So do I. Hubby brought it into our marriage 40+ years ago. And to think I almost pitched it last year in favor of my non-stick ones. Thank you, Susan, for the lesson re why it's better!
Aww your momma is so precious Becky I love you both ! ❤️
I love watching you all cook together. I feel like I am apart of the family 😊. Can’t wait to try those cookie recipes and the meatballs. 😋 great job on the butterfly cake!
The Galloping Gourmet! That's a blast from the past! LOL! My mother and I used to watch him when I came home for lunch too!! 😄
I want to eat at your mom's house after you 2 have whipped up a party! So many great ideas I know my family would love. Thank you!
You are truly amazing! Looks like your mother was a big part of that. You are so diverse in the kitchen, simple, and lean on the healthier versions..my favorite channel! Thanks for all you do. So inspiring
Perfect way to start off my three day weekend 🥰
