Carefull when heating Za'atar , it can turn bitter. A companion video on pitcher drinks would ideal for this one (Agua Frescas, cucumber water substitutes , Sangreas, horchata, etc..)
Wats the alternative if za'atar isnt available?
@@bubblewinx8116 if you want something herby you could do like parsley and thyme with lemon or parm. Or pesto...
@@bubblewinx8116 za'atar is just a wild thyme. so mix thyme, a little bit of sesame seeds, + sumac (if you also don't have sumac, sub in lemon zest)
the spice mix is mostly like 70% the wild thyme. so don't mix it equal parts. (I would use dried thyme and not fresh, but I don't know)

Hello! I'm thinking of making these at my family gathering this year; did you eat them straight out of the oven? Do you think they could be made the night before so long as they aren't sealed in an air-tight container? I appreciate any insight you can give, having made them! C:
@@Lanecryo i personally ate them a little warm because i had no self control. i also ate another one a few hours later after it was in a bowl, still delicious! the recipe on the site says it can be made up to 5 days in advance.

Or, cream cheese, mixed with honey and cinnamon, on Tostidos Scoops Tortilla chips and top with about 3 blueberries 🫐 on each one, then add a tiny bit of red pepper jelly on each one. Creamy, crispy, crunchy, salty, sweet, savoy, and spicy.

Why wouldn't you zest and toss with parsley on the sheet pan so it's more evenly distributed in the chips (not just the top few chips)?

We don't have saltine crackers in the UK, not sure what substitute I could use but very interested in trying that recipe.
Maybe matzo crackers? Saltines are basically flour and water with salt.
