Claire: "I don't believe in making homemade ketchup because Heinz is perfect"
Next Time on Gourmet Makes: Heinz Ketchup
One does not simply make a ketchup as good as Heinz.
Heinz is so sweet ugh
How long would it take? Place your bets!
While we wait for that video to be uploaded, you can watch Chef John try to recreate Heinz Ketchup
I’d say 2 hours
Why isn’t anyone talking about how Sohla waited for Claire’s entire vacation in anticipation to make her casserole
LuappleSnapples and then Claire forgot about it 🙁
Sohla is my favourite. She's just so kind and generous!
i love sohlaaaa so much
Who else wants that casserole recipe?
@@rileybeaulieu209 haha yes! I've been looking for it hoping comments would show me the recipe 😍😂

This entire episode is Sohla wanting to make a casserole so bad and Claire forgetting about it every 5 minutes
I felt so bad for Sohla for some reason lol
I legit died at the end when Claire said: "Omg this is so good, when did Sohla even made this?"
Where is this recipe???? I WANT this casserole.
Sohla is precious. I felt so bad for her!

While I understand why things happened.... I will probably forever mourn the fact that we will never get content like this again.
Alternative title: Claire fangirling over potatoes for almost 40 minutes straight
im pretty sure shes got some hobbit ancestors after hearing about her love of potatoes.
It was like the scene in Forest Gump where Bubba keeps going on about all the different things you can make out of shrimp.
Can you blame her?
I didn't understand this .... until about half way through! This should be the title.
Honestly its why Im HERE
Sohla is the gem of this channel. She is so knowledgable, and SO passionate.
Yes. Equal pay for Sohla & all the staff who appear on videos.
and what an actress! I certainly wouldn't be as nice as she seems to be.
Gabby too!
Uhm what about Gabi ;)
So sad she left
Seeing the amount of collaboration in their kitchen is so heartwarming. I'm so sad that they didn't have better ethics to treat their employees appropriately.
Jealous people always wanna play victim.
Sohla looking to Delaney when she brings up the aftertaste because she doesn’t wanna die alone under Claire’s scrutiny. 😂
Lani Rae lol I couldn’t stop laughing 😩😭😭😭
I was dying🤣🤣🤣. She was like "Delaney help!!!"
“sohla hasn’t slept in 18 days” she really does give off the energy of an immortal who doesn’t need sleep idk how to explain it
Like Jeff Goldblum
Banjo Billy too accurate lol
she is truly perfection
Omg exactlyhgfffgh
Like Chris, who practically lives in the kitchen?
Sohla deserves equal pay and compensation she is CLEARLY the genius behind the scenes like we saw her temper chocolate like a seasoned professional in the chris/brad episode
Even Claire asks Sohla to temper her chocolate and Sohla's getting zilch out of it.
Also just to think that Delaney probably got paid for melting cheese and Sohla didnt got paid anything... :(
Sohla is getting paid as an editor, but she doesn't get compensated for her cute badassery on camera which: some. freaking. how. EVERY WHITE EDITOR HAS BEEN COMPENSATED FOR BEING ON CAMERA!
It’s astonishing to me how she isn’t getting equal pay. I just heard about it and am going through a bunch of Claire episodes. She appears often is always comedic and offers multiple ideas that people find very helpful. Sohla is there more often than others in some cases too!
She’s more seasoned than a cast iron pan
And if cast iron pans were paid for video compensation they would get more than Sohla ever did
Claire on every other Gourmet Makes after the weekend: I don't remember what we're doing at all.
Claire after a vacation with the tater tot Gourmet Makes: I remember exactly everything we're doing.

C'mon haha we already knew Delaney loves American cheese after he told us to make sandwiches with cheese and apple slices in the pantry sandwich video 🤣
Claire’s monologue of different types of potatoes give me the same vibe as “Forest Gump” when he explains all the types of way to cook shrimp

Hashbrown nuggets. Godsends. A staple food for the American cafeteria. The love of my life.

CLAIRE! My husband ALSO never got righty tighty, so I came up with and taught him "clock to lock" - turning it clockwise tightens or "locks" it in place. Clock to lock, counter to enter.
I never beg, but PLEASE upvote so she sees and has something that works for her!
THAT'S SO HELPFUL WHAT
Counter to enter doesn't make any sense though?
Renate vd Bent if you turn it counter its going to open loosen whatever it is you’re turning what isn’t there to get?
@@RosesAndIvy It's not *quite* as useful as "clock to lock" is, but I know that for me, I remember "righty tighty" as the "main" clue, and then "lefty loosey" is a minorly helpful addition. Knowing one lets you infer the other, so I wasn't *as* concerned with the second half being as useful on its own.
You "enter" a jar though by opening it, so it makes a little bit of sense in that regard. It's also a nice opposite to "lock" that isn't *just* unlock. You lock a house when you leave, you enter it when you return.
Hope that helps! My husband and I *usually* just say "clock to lock" rather than the longer "clock to lock, counter to enter" because that works for us. Just like "righty tighty" works for me. So I made the longer version because some people really like the full "righty tighty, lefty loosey" to help them remember, so I thought some form of "clock to lock, counter to enter" might help somebody, and I wasn't sure if my husband would like the full phrase or the shorter version.

I wish the Bon Appetit gang would check out a channel called Spudfit here on RUclips. The guy who made the channel created this diet where all you eat is potatoes. No fruits, dairy or other vegetables. It works very well too! He was monitored medically while doing it for a year and had no issues and lost hundreds of pounds.
It would be awesome if the Bon Appetit gang made all kinds of recipes for this diet. It really is an amazing diet because with this diet you could help people all over the world lose weight AND feed everyone on the planet very easily because potatoes are such an inexpensive food.

@@ajones7562 i think it's more of the language used. claire is right that's it's counter clockwise but i guess most people think clockwise = turn something right. imagine a doorknob and you say: turn it right. i guess people can understand it they view it as 'turning' your hand to the 'right side' which is in actuality a clockwise motion. idk if that made sense
I can confirm it’s a lefty thing.
