- Claire. Is. Back. AGAIN. And this time she is attempting to make gourmet instant ramen. Everybody loves instant ramen, with its ludicrously salty, umami-rich spice packets and its impossibly wavy fried noodle bricks. Can Claire make a fancy version of this 70%-of-your-daily-sodium snack?

Hey Clair Badar has a HUGE crush on you❤️
I don't think Rhoda gets enough credit for just swinging in and solving problems like some low key, apron wearing superhero.
An apron is just a cape that you wear in front of your body.
yeeesssss!!!!! super rhoda!!
I actually found this video as Rhoda posted it on her instagram. :)
I absolutely adore Rhoda!
Rhoda is my hero and I'd love to have a job that is just solving people's problems!

But for an everyday snack? I'm with you. Geddouddahere, ya crazy!
*laughs in David Seymour*
Sometimes being allergic to a lot of popular ingredients is expensive 🤷♂️. This is the one that seems the closest that I've seen anyways. Also this recipe seems to make a lot more than 1 packet so it's really not that bad.
definitely more than one packet - you could also just not reduce the stock and use it as is - like if you're making the noodles and broth flavoring fresh anyway, you can skip all the nonsense of folding the noodles and dehydrating them and just simple use the noodle and stock recipe to make some delicious ramen

The amount of food science involved in these videos is extremely underrated. Claire is a genius and isn't afraid to ask for help, it makes her a better cook. i love this series so much.

thank you for noting that MSG gets a bad rap! MSG is only a problem if you have a notable sensitivity but it adds so much depth of flavor.
So true. And this also had MSG in it. The 2% yeast extract is how they add undercover msg. We know they did because Disodium Guanylate is only added along with msg. Many products are labeled with sneaky using MSG names. If you think it probably has MSG in it, then it most likely does unless the company makes a point of saying NO MSG on the label. Even health foods can have it. I'm one of the msg sensitive ppl out there, so while it's not a problem for most of the world, some do have to watch out for it or we can even go into Tachycardia.
Yeah, unless you have an allergy it is fine. Most of the studies were founded on racism since it was at first mainly in Chinese food in Chinese restaurants so the evidence is biased. So unless you have an alllergy or sensitivity (like anyone can have to basically anything) its perfectly fine to use
@@NintenJon2023 My godmother has an MSG intolerance and her vision goes haywire! Her eyesight gets all blurry :/ Dangerous for driving.

I love hearing Chris' feedback. Brad gets a lot of love (and he deserves it) but I feel that the poised and technical reviews Chris gives are under appreciated.
Ekenaa AGREED! I love Brad, but I love Chris too!
Brad doesn't get enough credit for when he tells Claire to do something and he's right more often than not. He completely saved her Kit Kats, just as one example. He's just not around as often as Chris is, and he often plays the part of brutal critic pushing Claire to do better and letting her solve her problems, whereas Chris is usually trying to be more tactful and constructive. It's obvious Claire values both of them for their technical advice, at least up until Chris starts insisting she temper the chocolate.
where is the "Do what Chris says" t-shirt?
Ekenaa YES!!! Omg!!

I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate all the effort and pitfalls that are included in these videos. Part of what's lost with cooking shows or online recipes is the struggle behind the scenes. Seeing that even professionals have a tough time pulling things together is encouraging to those hoping to try things themselves.

My favorite thing about these videos is how supportive everybody in the kitchen is... no one is out for personal gain, everyone pitches in helping out with steps and ideas
One of the reasons I love this channel. So many entertaining and supportive personalities.
I especially love how hard it is to get praise out of Chris Morocco, but you know it's real when he gives it. Seems like he's the go-to guy for food science stuff *and* for distinguished palate, which is a great combo!
She just seems like she has no idea what she's doing and is really insecure about it. Hence having to ask for advice every 6 seconds.
Woah its the illusion
What? I guess you just have never been around people or worked in a group or or work with and alongside colleagues?
What you have said is one of the most stupid and idiotic things I have ever read.
@@commentcopbadge6665 Why are you being so negative to someone who is just happy to see people working positively together? It's really that stupid and idiotic for someone to shed light on people being supportive of one another? Your comment is a bit perplexing; have you always worked in a positive, supportive environment? If so, I'm very happy for you, but many times it can be a much less pleasant experience.
I thought that Claire was gonna start crying when she was trying to make the curl and I got really worried

@Bill Bob because I didn't want her to cry...?
yea we all love claire, her strugle is our strugle
She is definitely going to start crying when she finds out just how easy it really is to get those curly folds. XD
William Wescott how?
I've fallen in an immense like with Claire. She's so much more than a chef - her skill-set is such that she could probably create her own style or branch of cooking. If she opened her own restaurant, I 100% would go eat there. If she started her own cult, I would stop what I was doing and listen to the pitch. She should have her own show, like this one, where people keep her a little frazzled but in the end she accomplishes what she needs to do.
I watch this knowing the only thing I’m dehydrating is myself
I like how she gives us the recipe like someone really has all the stuff and energy to make this 😂

But if she sold just the powder I'd use that over bouillon and use normal noodles.
