This is called FLYING. Not as seen on many videos stabilized on ILS and then disconnecting A/P and A/T and then giving compliments. Excellent job gents.
I hadn't seen in many many years that "thanks/ it was great flying with you" handshake, I thought that tradition had gone totally for good. I'm glad some pilots still regard it. Great and enjoyable video, thank you.
Excellent crew-coordination and cockpit teamwork which is typical of Dutch airmanship. Lovely scenery capture and camera angles, making this a very good aircraft video!
Crazy Clown I wasn't being sarcastic. I was complimenting. I've been on so many flight with rough landings and being on a flight like this would've been a dream. So now bud you owe me an apology for being so rude and biting my head off.
Simply superb. For a moment I thought I could align to the rwy on my FSX better than the pilots and then this. I was aghast when the left turn began breaking away from the first. Best video of 2017!
I know "every" place on the ground there, lived in Amsterdam (Osdorp) for 42 years. You are approaching via the Bijlmer, alongside the Johan Cruyff Arena, over Amstelveen, Badhoevedorp, etc, beautiful.
So now I know what a breakoff landing is, and beautifully executed. I once experienced a similar situation in a Cessna 172, lining on a runway and breaking at the intersection of the crossing runway then touchdown, literally a 90 degree turn. What a ride!
Ależ piękny film z pracy pilotów w kokpicie, cudne widoki nie ma nic lepszego jak lot w chmurach..pozdrowionka supereczek wrażenia cudowne Dziękuję 👍👍👍👍👍💚😀
3:43 Nice view over the island of Marken; 7:25 Crash site of flight EL AL 1862 (October 4, 1992) left below on screen; 7:53 Amsterdam Arena left below; 9:00 flying over the town of Amstelveen; 9:55 aborting approach to Buitenveldertbaan (runway 27); 10:35 landing on Kaagbaan (runway 24)
very, very seldom the incoming planes fly over the centre of city and your beloved canals. This runway is only used when there is a storm from south/west. are you sure you are not mistaken with Venetia (Italy) ??
Beautiful video of the landing of the Boeing 747 - 400. It is exciting to stay in the cockpit and see the track approaching with its positional lights, and admire the control of the drivers in this difficult maneuver. If I could I would have given the two crew members a space shuttle for their skill. Thanks to them, and have a good trip. 7958
Smooth landing captain and your co pilot. This the amazing landing on a airplane. My deep respect for all crews landing this aircraft until a safe landing.
Most enjoyable video and took me back nearly 25 years to some great times on the 747. Wondered why the FD's were being switched off and all became apparent , but the left turn off 24 was a surprise until it became apparent it was a cargo aircraft. Thanks for making an old man happy ! :-)))
Parece estar alto pra pista que aparece primeiramente, desvia e parece estar torto pra segunda e quando você pensa que não, pousa numa terceira pista. Esse é de longe um dos mais incríveis vídeos de pouso.
The Pilot Channel I always wonder, who's up there with these guys (pilots!) making these great vids all the time... I mean these things cost money. I enjoy watching these vids, but the quality is great ! Even the lighting is perfect, despite the light coming in the windows. Thanks for sharing ! Keep it up...
Amazing approach.I hope I would develop the same hand flying skills as the captain hahaha. When he turned off the FD, he did not disappoint with his stick and rudder skills. Hats off to the crew! Btw did anyone else notice the REV indicator not showing up on ENG#1 during rollout? Does that mean that engine one is not on reverse? Can anyone clarify? Thank you!
Having been on a plane 2 times in 4 days. I love this channel. Still learning this stuff, from the front of the aircraft, not drinking tasty beverages in the back.
This is the so-called "breakoff approach" RWY 24 at AMS, the corresponding chart is "Circling VOR DME Rwy 24", that you can find here : (this is the 62th page/chart) www.vlieghinder.nl/images/knipsels/EHAM.pdf
Flew that 747-400 in just like a BOSS!! F/O's that he flies with are all top notch as well!! Great teamwork and a lovely display of the control this Captain has over that big bird!!
Choose any runway..crazy

on KLM i think it is possible: often when we passengers are passing near the cabin, i have seen pilots smile and say thank you to us.. for me N.1!!!!
Excellent crew-coordination and cockpit teamwork which is typical of Dutch airmanship. Lovely scenery capture and camera angles, making this a very good aircraft video!
One of the best videos on RUclips. Hands down.
It is nice to see here, pilot. How is your pilot career going on?
Wht a peaceful landing,
yeah!
I'm very impressed by the steady hand of the videographer. Great job pilots on that smooth landing.
Sheila Valerie What the hell would u know...Go fly a kite
Crazy Clown I wasn't being sarcastic. I was complimenting. I've been on so many flight with rough landings and being on a flight like this would've been a dream. So now bud you owe me an apology for being so rude and biting my head off.
But I have one question. If he bit your head off, then how will you hear the apology? ¯\_﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿_/¯
Sheila Valerie damn girl you are beautiful 😍😘
DR~AVIATION thank you you are too kind.
I liked that handshake near the end. This was a crew that really seemed to work well together. The handshake sealed that.
No it didn't
that's team work with alot of respect for each other
J adore ... comme si on y était !!! Un clin d œil au pilote et à son co pilote !! Merci !!

Geweldige opnamen vanuit de cockpit 747-400. Bedankt een vriend van de DDA Classic Airlines.
1st such landing I've seen.......learnt about it in groundschool, but to actually see it.......Marvelous, Kudos to the pilots and their skill.
These guys are so casual, like they were siting in an office.Fantastic.

Walks off plane LIKE A BOSS !!!!!!
ive been in and out of schiphol many times, its nice to see it from the captain and his stokers point of view.
You guys are the true definition of bad asses!! That's a big chunk of metal to be getting back down on the ground like that let alone up in the air
Pilots are a bunch of badasses.
Nice glide path management, airspeed control and approach. Stable all the way down.
I always watch these two pilots I always remember the pilot on the left side of the cockpit man I always enjoyed watching you guys very professional
In the age of Covid, a freighter pilot is the thing to be.

At first I didn't realize it was a break off approach. I saw him go 2 dots high on the ILS...then I saw the actual landing runway.. thanks.
