At 40k price this phone would have sold like crazy , but 45k is little overpriced.

Good reviews as usual. Also thanks for pointing out Flipkart exclusive and charger not bundled. It's high time that govt and youtuber should force them to include a charger. Giving c to c charging cable is clearly cheating and forcing to buy a new charger as the old charger has mostly a USB connector.
If the govt makes it mandatory to include charger in the box then companies will surely increase the price
@@karthik8350 I don't think they will increase price or even if increase that might max 1k. If they increase price then spec to price will increase and that might affect their sale. So they will think before increasing.
Very bad idea to suggest governments should "force" manufacturers to include chargers in box. It's not a government's job.
@@richardhughes515EU mandated to use Type C in all devices sold in Europe. Even Apple is forced to do this. So there should be a governing body for tech standardization that looks out for the consumers. Creating that body is government's job.

I am using the Nothing Phone 2 and I have to agree with all the points you said. All the pros and cons are on point. I have to add one more thing that is the volume slider. I felt the lowest level of volume is just too low and inaudible, the volume increase is not gradual. Also i agree on charger point. Nothing should have included it.

A few days back a youtuber posted a video about dead youtube channels and he used your picture in his thumbnail and that was a very sad thing to see. S21FE for 30-31k is the best deal imo, we recently got one for our aunt.
Also wish that Zenfone was available in India, every phone now is a giant 6.7" brick!
Asus phones are good but the service situation is horrible. I have a ROG 5 with a motherboard issue they are quoting me a whopping 54k for replacement. A new ROG phone 5 on their website is priced at 44k😂

Hello sir... Agree with all the points except for the selling one. So it is actually retailing in Vijay Sales' brick and mortar stores (atleast here in Mumbai). That's where I got it from since I wanted to check the unit in person because there were few faulty units sent out to people who got it from flipkart.

You resonated with my views and experience with Flipkart. I tried to highlight this in my feedback of the Nothing Phone 1 but Flipkart declined repeatedly to publish it. I even wrote to Nothing company but there too, I found jerks and idiots who simply refused to take my feedback seriously. I am glad you highlighted this in your review. It will have a larger audience and hopefully impact too in a positive way. In summary, Flipkart as a platform has major trust and service issues. And I agree with your observations and reservations on Nothing Phone 2. Very candid and honest. Kudos and continue the excellent work.

In my testing as a senior xda dev, the (test device) Pixel 6a @26k which I've eat's the NP2 for breakfast when it comes to cameras, haptics, speakers, software, updates, security, privacy, IP67 rating etc.
Np2 lacks the faster updates, AI suite and dedicated security soc which pixel devices have.
The only area where NP2 did better than my primary Pixel 7 pro was in gaming. But then OP11R does even better than NP2 in gaming due to better thermals and it has faster charging too.
After testing like 128+ devices, I can for sure say that NP2 is extremely overpriced. It should sit alongside Op11R @38k. I was extremely disappointed by NP2's poor haptics, speakers, cameras, no IP67/68, dated USB 2.0, no HDR in Netflix etc.

1.Different ringtones for sim 1 & sim 2 which is available in 10K phone.
2. One handed mode.
3. Ultra Battery Saver.
4. Assist Ball / Side Bar for Apps.
5. OSIE/ Dolby Vision/ Dolby Atmos.
6. Fast charging.
7. Extra Price for Charger.
There is one handed mode, default in stock Android 13.
45W is plenty fast

Get a type-C to C cable and connect one end each to the old and new phones.Then follow instructions given on both your phones and voila you are good to go.Its a seemless process after that.Easy-Peesy.
Got the 512 gb variant at 37k with bank offer and without any exchange. At this price I think it's a very good deal. The only issue people are having with this phone are the cameras. But after so many updates the camera is now far better than what it was at it's launch.

Using Nothing Phone 2. Agree with each and every point. Especially Ringtone and Speakers. First day, I had to sit and search for a good ringtone. I would prefer my old OnePlus 7 over NP2 for speakers. One more con I would like to add is you need to depend on Google Files/Gallery/Photos. They don't have their own apps.
Rest everything is good but a little overpriced.
Which app/website do you use for ringtones? I am having the same problem with my NP2. The stock ringtones SUCK

Personally speaking, liked everything in this except for the cam and the lower ip rating, size could have been a little smaller, for the price point S21 FE SD 888 makes more sense as an all rounder but if you are a fan of the Nothing OS which I am, then this would be my pick , Great insight from Ranjit as always, cheers !
S21 Fe is not worth it at that price range. It will go under 35k like the Exynos version.
Also S23 Fe is launching soon. So people would buy that instead of S21 Fe.
I won't touch 888 phone with a stick.
Front camera is biggest disappointment for such a high price.

I think you don't know how infamous 888 is.
Also that's 2 gen old SoC still they have priced it in range of 30-35k so has nothing for a gen old SoC.
S21 Fe comes with Exynos 2200 and not sd888. Only american units come with 888.

I think that 5000 extra is probably for the design and glyph and symmetrical bezels. That whole process must be adding to manufacturing cost

Little overpriced, no charger in the box are the dealbreaker for me.
Only UI appears to be a plus point for this phone, beside that OP 11R seems a better choice.
But it is a big plus point, cause once you buy any phone it's the software experience that you are dealing with.
Then Samsung and Apple are also overpriced. Why don't people use OnePlus 11 over s23 ultra or iPhone 14 pros and even 14. See people put performance and user experience higher than other aspects of a phone. And Phone (2) takes the lead whether it is battery backup, cameras and Overall User Experience. OnePlus is not the same. People would consider and even I would consider buying 11R but only if it had the Old OxygenOS.

Well, Nothing as a brand is not considered as premium as Samsung or Apple. Atleast for now. So we expect a lower price for the same features offered by Nothing.

You mentioned that the speakers on your unit were above average but a few other youtubers complained that the sound output on their units were quite low, especially when they compared with OnePlus 11r & Iqoo Neo 7 pro. Do you think it's a software bug or that Nothing isn't checking for faulty units during production?

I own the NP2 like for a month, and here is the gaming review.BGMI(Ace dominator 15 tier hot drops). I played BGMI smooth extreme and its nearly sticked to 60fps. After the 2.0.2 update fps went down to 40 once one day and that was the worst that happened like 2 weeks before. But overall very nice experience, no brightness drop, no overheating, but if it heats like in hot room without fan frames drop like hell, goes down to 35-40 during fights and came back to 60 after like 10-15 seconds.

@@sh1fter305 Not good for playing bgmi on speaker, if serious about gaming. Otherwise speaker is good, loud and clear. Some people may say bass is less on the speaker, but for that they must have used iphone or 1+ premiums or other flagships to find such difference. For me speaker is very good. I only listen to podcasts or watch movies or yt on speaker, else wired or tws like for gaming and music.
Actually I don't play games I just want a fun to use phone. I don't want to regret buying a 45k phone💀

Hi Ranjit, You nailed the review and specially the part where you said why NP is flipkart exclusive. I was skeptical of buying NP2 from flipkart and as i feared i got cheated on exchanging on an old phone.
I bought Nothing phone 2 with exchange offer and had a really bad experience. I finally ended up paying extra to purchase it. Horrible customer service from flipkart!!
@@srividya207 check your invoice. If extra amount you paid is not reflected in the invoice then we are cheated by the delivery boy. You can complain to the customer care of flipkart. They will ask for proof. Luckily in my case i had a video proof but still it is under investigation by flipkart since the last 10 days don't know if they will provide any resolution. Only option is to boycott flipkart completely

And still it can't beat vivo v27 pro in the camera department even though np2 has got a better camera sensor. Hardware of the np2 is capable but still camera is not upto the mark.
@@aniruddhabasak7441Vivo has been in the market for a lot of years. And it is a camera focused brand and has a much larger team than Nothing. Nothing has been for 2 years and has a much smaller team still they are doing great. Not everyone is camera person many people prefer performance and User Experience more than Cameras. And there is already huge Gcam support for Nothing Phone (2) and (1) also.

Ringtone seems like a very good point to bring it up,I never gavebthought regarding this issue. It should kinda have a bit more different fusions of tunes because that's one of many primary features of having a phone in the first place.

I was considering this before buying the Samsung s23+, and I decided to go for it because I was using an Asus rog2 for about 4 years. Besides, the rog2 is still my secondary phone and it runs well. It's just that I wasn't very satisfied with the display and at that time, Samsung didn't have many options of phones with the snapdragon chipset. Now I'm happy that it was worth the wait 😁😁😁

My relative bought the s22 (small one) that phone heats up on what's app calls and that has snapdragon 8 gen 1 but then I can't blame the processor as I never had major heating issue on my Rog phone 2 since 4 years and that has a snapdragon 855+

This phone is not for specs hunters that's really evident. If you want specs you buy IQOO or Mi. This phone is made to be a fast, fluid statement piece just like apple. Nothing is trying to copy apple here by offering an experience rather than just pure specs
Many people only compare specs and price but it takes money for RnD on the software and design and tbh thats the best part of the phone. It's absolutely worth the price for this fact.

I definitely agree with the haptic, most of the android phone have the rotor vibration motor or the z axis what they call, i would have loved this phone if they had implemented 4 coil z level haptic motor which could have been used on various apps and functions.

You forgot to mention this one sir, they should have provided atleast 256gb for that 45k price point and also people should buy 256gb variant and not the 128gb . Even a screenshot takes more than 1mb and in the long run its becoming an worrying thing. Atleast for myself.

How good even the phone is, I will never purchase from Flipkart or Amazon? There has been instances of refurbished phones sent and it took hell to get replaced. Online vendors are just crap. Now even offline like (croma or reliance digital) is matching the price. Also the price 45k is bit overpriced. 40k is the ideal price since screen issues were reported in phone1 as well.
There is no seperate ringtones for two SIMs. This is one of the great discomfort

@@sauravchhabra840 the UI experience is absolutely superbb literally better than Samsung u don't get the awfull lot of features as in Samsung and OnePlus but only the usefull ones , this ui helps a lot in limiting your sot speaking of sot if u r not into gaming then expect atleast 8 hours at home without much location and navigation needs.... The camera app is good for potraits and night shots but I would suggest to install gcam the colours are better or if you any editing you are just good to go because the hardware is too good in optics....
I went to OnePlus store... 11r front camera is trash literally trash whatever all the other youtubers say it is trash. This phones cameras are nice and if you are shooting landscapes aur general images more then maybe pixel 7 has better cameras but shooting friends n family this phone is better imp.... Speakers are crisp n loud tho nothing special... all in all this is the best option overall if you don't care too much about cameras in dat case go for pixel but the cons of that phone are too much just for cameras... Plus this phone looks kool af and dat is a bonus... People recognise this phone so if you are spending this amount why not get something different🤷♂️

I'll just say this. If Apple and Samsung are charging 70-80k for a phone, there's nothing wrong with pricing of phone 2. It offers pretty good user experience and premium feel.
They can charge because they are well established brands
Just look at this specs for the price what we spending,Dont compare with iphones and samsung phones,They're providing better unbeatable camera performance with 4k 60fps front camera capabilities while nothing stuck at 1080p,I wouldn't say this is a bad phone If the price was 40k:)
Also samsung giving USB 3.2 data transfer speed and better software updates cycle
You must be a newbie to consider NP2 @45-55k especially when you have an Iphone 13 and S22+ sitting right there.
Apart from performance, even Pixel 7 is a much better all-rounder.

@@barryallen1100No dolby atmos, no inbuilt equaliser, no inbuilt gallery app to view or edit photos, poor cameras, no toggles for certain stuffs like disabling battery icon in status bar, very few customisations, no charger included in the box, no proper ringtones hence you'll have to download ringtones from the internet. All these features are available in 15k devices these days...
Just bought the 12/256 variant and I think I am satisfied with the device.

There's a huge issue with speaker. There'll be no volume upto 50% you can start hearing something only after crossing 50%. Volume needs to be improved a lot. HDR videos look washed out irrespective of Netflix or RUclips. Display for HDR can be heavily improved. I understand this phone is good and one of the best available except probably that it's overpriced. But coming from oneplus 7,this felt like a huge downgrade 🙁

Nothing phone 2 is available in vijay sales in the offline market. Just went there and tried this phone. Very smooth interface as you said but yes it is quite bulky. Right now i am using a samsung note and now i am planning to switch to a smaller device.

For some reason, I'm not receiving pop-up notifications for WhatsApp or Instagram. I'm not sure if there's a specific setting I need to adjust, but when I looked in WhatsApp's settings, I saw the message "Pop-up notification is not supported on this Android version."

I want to buy a new smartphone. I have two options. First one is oneplus 11 and second is nothing phone 2 (both model of 256 variant). Which phone is better for my requirements? Basically I'm non gamer, need of great battery backup , clean and smooth user interface, operating system and security updates on regular basis, amazing design and fast charging to save my time. I have planning to use any above-mentioned phone next three to five year😊

45k is too much without a charger and thats also just 45 watt instead of 65 / 100 watts
No service center and u can see urself by contacting them on twitter or else they dont reply easily during help.
Speaker and camera are not upto mark as per.competition.
Glyph light is just a hoax not much usable in real life

I have also been using it for almost a month now.
Two things - Noticeable
1- phone charging is slow with an official charger & cable If I compared with my old device one plus 6T Maclaren.
2- Widget of the data sim switcher which is required a lot for me. That is missing. It should be there

Yes. I faced low sound on calls with speakers on specially if I can compare with my old phone And that is I was hoping @Ranjeet will add that point.
