Also many are putting useless 2MP cameras only to show that they have TRIPLE CAMERA or QUAD CAMERA setups
Also I wanna mention that though glass looks and feels good on the back, it's not as durable as polycarbonate
So I prefer polycarbonate on the back because that's what I would use without a case
@@fakechTotally this. I had a metal-back phone before and it was great! That feeling you get when you don't have to be feared to use your phone without a freaking case is underrated. I don't need a "beautiful" glass back which I can't touch or see because it is always inside the case, making it useless.
@@senposLet's bring back the metal, that feels lot premium than a glass back, I had Samsung A3 for a couple of years, man oh man that golden back panel. 😍
@@vishwavichu3861wireless charging is not possible with a metal back, that's probably why manufacturers are using glass/polycarbonate now
@@senpos metal is overrated. If you want a better chassis, it's gonna be plastic. Yeah, it doesn't feel as good as metal, but I can actually use it without a case without getting scared of denting and scratching the thing.
Glass = breaks if dropped
Metal = gets dented or scratches if dropped
Plastic = gets scratches when dropped, but not as visible as metal
Keep it up Carl, you're growing.

Are you serious i mean for real ??
I love how he's so confident, on point, articulate and knows exactly what he wants to do. Kudos.
It's rare to find a company that pours this much love into every detail, especially in a midrange phone.
Being a small company everyone provodes love and care at first then when company grows they focus only on making profit.😂
I love nothing company but the fact is that when you have only few products you can pay more attention to details of the products. But once you have a few hundreds of products it's difficult to pay attention to each product. Telling you this by experience....
Non 😂of the other company's mobiles phone where harmed in this video💀

Please Nothing, focus on the haptics.
That's 80% of the build quality feeling.
Please.
Agree.. but I don't want them to make the haptics "vibrate less." There needs to be depth to the vibration. The Pixel Pro 8 is a master class in haptics.
@@Spykedjadedragonthe OnePlus with o haptisk is the best o have ever used and many agree OnePlus O haptik
I'm no engineer but I don't see how 2 different powered vibrators wouldn't fix this issue@@Spykedjadedragon

One thing is ergonomics, second the design but without good haptics it just feels cheap

We need Nothing gallery and Nothing music player.
I like the fact that he and his team are documenting the process, it's quite different from what other companies usually do and we should really embrace that. it's a prime example of “Show your work”
If you want to save 10 min: It is launching on March 5th
Why do they always focus on marketing, but not on specifications. Like PHONE 2, launched 599! With an older chip and average camera bad haptics. And really everything was average. We don't want every specifications to be10/10
We want 8/10 in every dept

In terms of design, you could try to implement the glyphs on the sides of the phone (in the frame) so it won't matter which side of the phone is flipped.❤
Then it's less visible tho
@@arjunchickering1085 the light will glow on the table surface when you place the phone down, no matter which side of the phone is facing up.
But it's still less visible
@@Thegreekgeekss the glyph is useless anyways and you should have your phone screen side up as to not damage it
That's why I'm suggesting to put them on the sides. The lights are bright enough and I've noticed that with a transparent case, the light spreads a lot and it's a bit visible on the sides too with screen face up. In the sides it would be more visible.@@arjunchickering1085

just preordered the phone 2a and i am really excited. its my first product from your brand but i have deep trust in you. i might update this as soon as the phone arrives
Im from paraguay and i discovered this brand looking for reviews for a new phone and I loved it. Some local stores can get it for me, but I don't want to buy something from a brand that does not have an official branch in my country, without a guarantee and without any technical assistance because there will be no one who knows how to repair it if I need to. Please!! We need an official release of nothing phone in latin america!!! This is the time!!!
They why the fuck you wanna buy it if you don't have any local store of the company in your country. You have to either take the risk or just buy a Samsung.

interesting marketing strat, i love the curiosity you guys build around the product, the calling out the big brands
and interesting choice of words to really speak out to the Nothing fans
what marketing strat could u explain?
@@vivaanreddy8771 i don't think Nothing is big on marketing through advertisements, their marketing is through the community they've built and fans basically market their products through engagement, the Nothing team does a really good job fueling hype to their niche community, that's what I meant by marketing strat
@@vivaanreddy8771 I think pretty much transparency and calling out. Im always sold when carl talks.. these not phone but a well thought masterpiece. Nothing phone 2a like myself clean, organize and minimalistic.
I don't own a Nothing phone but when I'm watching these videos from Nothing, this phone is really interesting and I like how Carl points out those issues with phones. Sometimes what you're buying are the brands, not the phone's quality. Seeing how branded famous phones release phones like trash but the prices are costly. Kudos to Nothing teams. Keep on growing.
Carl sounds really easygoing but i think he's really demanding and has very high standards in a good way that makes their phones highly competitive with Apple which Carl vowed to destroy when his ipod broke at age 12 after 1 year and 5 days of usage .. no joke ...
I want this phone to be compact, not too small since many people need a bigger screen, but 6.1 inch display would be perfect
yeppppp😊
YASS PLZZ, i was badly looking for a phone with the form factor of an s23 but i cant afford it at the moment. Hope 2a's size comes around that

The Samsung A54 is the best selling Samsung, and the Pixel A series is globally well known. Carl saying "they dont care" is a bit insane.
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking.
Just because the phones sell well and are known doesn’t mean that the actual phone is any good. It’s just a cheap, get you what you need done phone. The care of actually making it a mid range flagship is what Carl is talking about. Not just another mid range junker to fill that spot just because
Sales are just numbers. Care is attention to detail, passion, community and feedback engagement, foresight and farsight, devotion to software and improvements, and making a device feel new every now and then, in a consistent manner.
@@Rudggedexcept that the Samsung A54 and Pixel A series phones aren't bad midrange phones at all lmao
A54 and pixel A series starts around 40k+ (launch mrp).
They're targeting the phone 2a for 30k so..... that's that
Sold off my Oppo Find N3 and got the Milk version of 2A. ( Sad tho' as to why in Singapore doesn't have the White version which looks AMAZING!! ) The 2A design blew me away but what surprises me alot more is the software. The experience is phenomenal for its price! It's crazy!! Thanks Nothing team and Carl Pei... Looking forward to your next product! Cheers!!
All the best for new launch. Also these videos where CEO himself reaches to the customers will surely have impact on the brand loyalty of Nothing.
I love seeing Heru in these videos, he’s got the vibe and personality to be a great host on the channel. Great work guys, excited for the launch of (phone)2a!
I am excited for this release. I am was itching for an upgrade. Thought about jumping brands (between the smartphone giants), but wanting a different (better) experience. I can’t wait to hear more about 2a and see what MKBHD says (😅).

For me the only company that makes me feel hope in the phone industry. Awesome user experience, great cameras and NOTHING else that you don't need. Waiting to see the 2a....my best wishes
Well said except the great camera part
I'm hyped for the new audio products. The ear 2 were super.
I want Nothing to make a new color option for their phones every year as a "color of the year" or something. Like orange or red or a good tone of yellow or purple would be cool

Just bought mine yesterday and I love it! I come from iPhone background mainly. To be honest it's the perfect mid ground between ios and android
What about rhe ufs. 2.2 is it bad
And how is the phone for heavy tasking website editing and other heavy tasking?
I just hope this will be like a OnePlus X. Last year's flagship specs, headphone jack, microsd card slot. Fantastic build quality, great display, decent camera, decent battery life.

If the A55 doesn't get wireless charging and a up to market chip, that line is dead to me. I'll either get the A25 if I need a cheap-ish replacement to my A50. Hi Carl i am using Nothing Phone 1. I read a lot at night and i have eye strain issues even when i put my phone in "Night Light","Extra Dim" and "Bedtime mode" and reduce brightness to 0. I hope you look into displays that are good to the eyes. I really like what TCL is doing with their nxtpaper displays. Kindly consider looking into display technology as well. Happy to test the display when you implement this!! Thanks!!
I hope this comment is seen. This is actually one of the most important things on phone.
Watching this from my Nothing Phone (2) 512gb device. Just received in the mail about 24 hours ago. Loving it so far, coming from a OnePlus 11.
Came from OnePlus 11 to a Nothing Phone 2??

Carl, I was a 1+1 early adopter. That was truly the one and only Flagship Killer. It really shook up the whole smartphone industry. I know you're passionate about making things happen as you envisioned them. I hope you follow through this time to the end. By the way, we need alt-DP support on Nothing Phones.
My phone just died last week. I wanted to buy a new one, but I'll wait for this to come out first so I can make a decision.

I hope nothing phone 2a is success!!!!!!
U're dilulu
I'm thinking of selling my Edge 40 to get it even tho its probably an inferior product
Edge 40 is way better
As it has 1.4 aperture camera (which is available rare in phones) and you can also use ready for pc(similar to Samsung dex)
@@simpleinvention1008 Yup I know but there's something about Nothing that makes me giggle like a kid (I'm autistic so I cherish the weirdness)
I don't really use Ready For cuz I don't have Miracast in any of my devices and the Edge 40 doesn't support wired RF so it's quite useless to me 👁️👄👁️
Carl understands that to make an outstanding phone you must build 25 things and NONE can be weak. Thats so hard that if you meet what sounds like this low bar your phone is a phone of the year contender (apple manages to do it almost every year!) Nothing 2 has flagship screen, power management, ergonomics, camera sensor (software is "good" but not as good as iphone 15 with same sensor & lens) - overall a fantastic and unique phone where the software UI is better than ALL other android phones & apple! Carl adopted cyanogenhmod android = oxygenOS at oneplus and carries on with the same level of innovation at nothing!
It is more like an art than a phone so much passion goes in ..well done guys
Nothing is like what HTC and Nokia used to be back in the early to mid 2000s...phones used to be fun back then...nice to see this brand stirring up the phone industry!
Hope it's smaller than the usual 6.5 inch candy bar type phones 🙂
Omg he knows exactly what he's doing. I was so bored of those designs of other mobiles, they looked so plasticy and artificial, but Nothing's design are what I want, I have galaxy j7 rn, but I really wanted to upgrade to Nothing phone 1, but I couldnt quite afford that, so I decided to buy one when I will have a job, but when I heard from tech news, that this new nothing phone is going to be affordable I was so excited.
