I think most android used don't actually need that many features and at first we will be excited and use it but after sometime we won't use it often. So as an average user I wouldn't prefer an overpriced phone.

Pixel 7a/7, S22+, Iphone 13 under/around 50k already surpass it in cameras, software, updates and security.
*Nothing knows they can't compete with the big brands* when it comes to cameras and security systems like Knox/Titan so they diverted their focus into Glyph lights, querky design and marketing as a short-term strategy untill brand has more resources but then keeping the price high was a bad move.
Even in BBd sale, the likes of S23, Iphone 14, Pixel 7 pro, Oneplus 11 will be sitting @50k. *Poor cameras @50k+ is simply unacceptable and it'll be the reason for their slight downfall.* The videos and especially the selfie videos are trash tbh. Pixel 6a @28k would eat NP2 for breakfast if you care about cameras.

The back lighting can be used as a progress indicator, for apps such as the timer, cab reaching time etc. It's awesome feature!!
2 things I didn't like-
1) Nothing OS doesn't have option for pitch black dark mode to take advantage of OLED.
2) Notification Panel colour & button shapes is boring, needs to be more like OxygenOS/ColorOS or even OneUI is better.

Nothing is overestimating it's value..
I was eagerly waiting for Nothing phone 2 from February. I was hoping for price range of 35-40k. Also they made hype about pre-booking and Flipkart even gave out pre-booking offer cards for 2k. But utter disappointment from Nothing. Instead of buying Nothing 2 why I should not go for OnePlus 11R or even OnePlus Nord 3 with both in budget and flagship like experience. By the way thanks for speaking the truth I liked software improvements but it doesn't worth 10k more than Nothing phone 1 in my opinion. Still I would like a comparison between Nothing 2 and OnePlus Nord 3 and OnePlus 11R to make my mind.
Price will definitely drop within two months

I use one plus 8t.. got 6 green lines and one pink line.. replaced display for free.. but i feel bad about oneplus is they change lot of settings and ui on their own.. i didnt even update the phone.. when u restart the phone ui seems ugly and it takes lot of time to get to normal.. i kinda feel like they steal customer data.

About the device, I don't find Nothing 2 as overpriced per se, given their are very few brands with clean experience in the market. But yes the competition does offer some great phones specifically considering the cameras on devices beyond 40k

Bro....45 is way too much as a new brand ..
nothing should have gone for 7 gen 2 instead of 8 gen 1+. 7 gen 2 is more efficient which would have helped for more battery life now nothing phone 2 has less battery life than phone 1 which is disappointing. Camera is average video quality is also average compared to its closest competitors. so pricing should have been around 40K at best if nothing wants to compete well. 45K is technically overprice not for the chipset but for the experience you will get on camera department especially.

Nothing Phone 2 definitely a far better choice than samsung A54 or Google pixel 7 here if one is focusing on overall entirety of the phone .

Nothing OS 2.O is still has less features. Yes, customisations are on point but watch pixel UI or Samsung's oneUI. At this price they providing such a premium UI experience 😌😌
And also their camera ( photo & video) is way way better than nothing phone 2

For a brand focusing on being minimal the glyph lighting ironically is the most gimmicky feature i think even more than the s pen. People often forget how important is after sales support after a year or until they have to find support. Never ever go for brands that have no support.
