As a student the most important device on which you should invest is your laptop. Trust me, the money you put on this device will never go to waste. btw i have a inspiron 5490 13inch and its awesome ( does heat up but its fine ). I bought it for 68K in 2021. The only other device i have is a 10K phone.
Inspiration 5490 is not a good device and you can get a MacBook Air M1 with student offers and card offers for 70k something and you can get a good laptop with a graphic card
I really admire your videos and the sentiment behind them. I am a researcher in Germany, and I have the following gadgets which I baught using my hard earned money when I was a student and was not receiving any sort of stipend: 1: Bought a laptop in feb 2020 (Acer nitro 5: 49990rs) 2: mobile: bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite in Jan 2021, 25999rs. 3: Earphones: Nothing ear 1, Bought more than a year ago, I don't remember the exact time, 4999rs. I bought everything on EMIs and they still work perfectly fine. So the point is, you don't need to have top of the line gadgets (like tablets, headphones or smartwatchs) to ace your grades in the class, just work hard. Baki dikhawe k liye to Ferrari bhi kam hai.
My opinion would be that go ask your college seniors that what kind of Laptop is usefull for the course which you are pursuing...because many times it may happen that you buy a laptop but later realise that this laptop doesn't meet your requirements..so better ask your seniors once ❤
Headphones can be very beneficial for students too as they are almost the same price of earphones/earbuds but a lot of people (including myself) prefer over the ear headphones because all the earphones I have tried are very uncomfortable.
One point to add: Try to buy a laptop with a metal frame, or one which is known to have good build quality (thinkpads). Most laptops I came across in college broke down at hinges or the body. The electronics still had 4-5 years more if the body didn't break down. This also is a major concern for environment, as it creates e-waste.

Also while Chromebooks may not be for every college student but if your work doesn't involve Graphics and Coding(for ex law students who do lots of pdf reading, browsing, research etc) you can go with a chromebook if you have constant internet access assuming you can't stretch your budget to 40k.

For headphones/earphones, try to buy something with detachable or replacable wire. The first thing to break down in a earphone is the cable and connector. Replacing a cable is cheaper and more environment friendly than headphone. For earphones, you could go for IEMs (In ear monitors). There are some good Hi-fi IEMs in 1-2K range, and the cable replacement costs only 400.

I'm a IT student i have one phone which worth almost 8k rs and one simple watch which worth almost 300 rs one headphones which worth almost 600 rs and a laptop which worth around 55k laptop is Asus tuf A17 with ryzen 5 4600 H and GTX 1650 GPU my all requirements are fulfill by laptop so thats the reason I'm investigating more in other things as a middle class student 👍🙏

I would have liked it if the video focused on ways for students to become more academically productive. Honestly, a 25k phone for a student seems a bit too expensive. In my view, they should have a phone that can handle essential tasks, which ~10k phones can easily do nowadays. Having a feature phone is better, but we know that many schools and colleges have started relying on certain mobile apps for sharing information. A smartwatch is not necessary. A basic fitness band would be okay, but it's optional. It can act as a watch with features that encourage fitness. It's better to avoid a tablet as well. You'll mostly end up binge-watching on it. It's better to get a Kindle if you like reading. Or even better, buy physical books. Nothing can replace them. Tablets can be advantageous in certain ways. Taking notes can be easier if you also have a stylus. Additionally, you can have all your notes in a single place. However, it adds to the distractions, so I would highly suggest staying away from it. Now, let's talk about the big one - a laptop. If you have enough money to spend, go for a MacBook. If not, get a laptop with a powerful CPU. Choose Linux OS (experiment with different flavors) instead of Windows as it's great for learning tech. You can choose Windows if you're not studying computer science or related subjects. If you like to do some graphics-intensive work like video/photo editing, go for a laptop with a dedicated GPU. (If you are unsure about it, an APU is a good option). If you are on a tight budget, one option is to get a tablet and use it as a laptop after attaching a keyboard. Sir big respect a huge fan of yours, im a graphic designer myself and i was not rich neither i had the budget to buy a 60k laptop but i learned graphic designing in 35k i3 10th gen laptop and i just want to say from my experience you can do high level work on 30k to 40k laptop easily you don't have to buy 60k laptop 😊just a suggestion from my experience.

I am current preparing for neet so I was planning to buy iphone in 2024 but I have realised that I dont need an Iphone and a 25k oneplus phone is enough for me and I have cancelled to buy gaming laptop or pc because it will distract me from study. I would have liked it if the video focused on ways for students to become more academically productive. Honestly, a 25k phone for a student seems a bit too expensive. In my view, they should have a phone that can handle essential tasks, which ~10k phones can easily do nowadays. Having a feature phone is better, but we know that many schools and colleges have started relying on certain mobile apps for sharing information.
A smartwatch is not necessary. A basic fitness band would be okay, but it's optional. It can act as a watch with features that encourage fitness.
It's better to avoid a tablet as well. You'll mostly end up binge-watching on it. It's better to get a Kindle if you like reading. Or even better, buy physical books. Nothing can replace them. Tablets can be advantageous in certain ways. Taking notes can be easier if you also have a stylus. Additionally, you can have all your notes in a single place. However, it adds to the distractions, so I would highly suggest staying away from it.
Now, let's talk about the big one - a laptop. If you have enough money to spend, go for a MacBook. If not, get a laptop with a powerful CPU. Choose Linux OS (experiment with different flavors) instead of Windows as it's great for learning tech. You can choose Windows if you're not studying computer science or related subjects. If you like to do some graphics-intensive work like video/photo editing, go for a laptop with a dedicated GPU. (If you are unsure about it, an APU is a good option). If you are on a tight budget, one option is to get a tablet and use it as a laptop after attaching a keyboard. It will have many limitations; however, it will cover the essential things you would need like MS Teams calls, screen sharing, coding (to some extent), online courses, etc.
Now, the important thing I want to mention is that you should not try to include all features in everything you buy. For instance, if you enjoy photography, get a dedicated camera/DSLR instead of relying on your phone for it. If you like music, get some musical instruments and a pair of good-sounding headphones. Explore what you enjoy. Don't buy a fancy device just to make yourself feel good about it.
Finally, one important thing we all need to understand is that our minds are more productive when there are fewer distractions. So, whatever you choose, carefully consider how it will impact you. It's not a bad thing to use a mobile phone, but don't let it distract you.
