Honored to have you running our parts on your Bren, and thank you for the kind words. But let's be real... our video's could all still use a little more work :-)
FYI: I just got done installing this handgaurd. Cz is using way to much thread locker. I had to drill out 3 screws that I stripped. Use some heat on the stubborn screws. Great handgaurd, CZ needs to start using these.
The bottom mounting rail appears to be stabilizing the barrel and factory hand guard. And it’s secured super tight with 5 screws. To remove that without replacement has got to be affecting the performance and stability of the rifle. Why not design a hand guard that preserves the factory integrity of the rifle?
I got my 2 Handguards installed Saturday and I highly recommend them. Very well made and looks great! I also highly recommend the trigger and charging handle upgrades.
That little chuckle at 7:20 should've alerted me to the task/endeavor/nightmare I was about to undertake with those bottom t25 screws... thanks for the video and CZ if you're listening, PUT DOWN THE LOCTITE !!!

My area of working with guns at a munitions company, inspired me to question the handiwork demonstrated in the assembly video. I’m not here to hate on HBI, I only have used one of their products in the past. First of all, a little bird let’s say, over at CZ gave me a rundown for the fore end assembly. Now it maybe cause we are talking 4 screws instead of the stock number, but 10 NM seems a tad high. CZ recommends 8NM for the stock fore end assembly. Furthermore the orientation in which the screws are tightened matters as well, starting from the left front screw, work your way to the front right screw. Finish off with the left to right rear screws as well, the gist of it is, always start with the left front screw and end with the right rear screw for your torque path. Again this is only my knowledge based the on stock arrangement. I heard word of some chopping brass so here’s my suggestion, cheers!
How rugged/reliable is this handguard? Will it stay tight and straight with hard use? Thanks for these great products. Will you have anything for the military S model?
No, the oem bottom plate is not reused. The HBI handguard (as well as some of the factory handguards) only require the two side plates for full retention.
The guy on the video said to torque the the screws to 10n/m or 90inch/lbs the instructions that I got in the mail with the product say "45in*lbs or 5N*m" Which is it? Have I over torqued my system?
We need to remake this video... The early guns were fine at 90in*lbs (before even factory had released an official spec/armors manual), but we found some carriers in the newer guns can start to bind/drag at that torque. 45in*lbs has proven perfect in all guns to date (12/2020). 90in*lbs will not hurt the hardware or the trunnion. But if you think that you have over torqued the washers or have concerns please just email or call us, we would be happy to send you a replacement set of nord lock washers if you need them.
The handguard free floats the barrel, many shooters report improved accuracy at longer distances. Our 7.9" bren 2 ms handguard (complete and installed) is 3.5-4oz lighter than the factory system.
I think the torque wrench we used in this video is made by Urceri. But we have a few others here that work equally as well. We have found many quality 1/4" torque wrenches marketed towards the mountain/road biking community. Just due to the size and style of fasteners and range of torques (up to about 15N*m), they normally have both in*lbs and N*m scales and are very well suited to firearms.
@@RovingTrader possibly try to tighten the screws left/right in a criss-cross pattern? If this does not help please contact us directly via email or phone and we will get you taken care of. Your bolt should run very smoothly in the upper :-)

The factory handguard uses a different (more flexible) manufacturing process. It is made from several components, just a different way to crack the nut. We only use a single MLOK slot on each side of our 7.8" handguard in order to shield the regulator gas (behind the slot).
Do I need the barrel block that attaches to the bottom rail? I'm having horrible accuracy issues since installing this handguard and am wondering if I missed something. Great Product - I have the 11" barrel pistol with a brace and this really is the best upgrade to the CZ BREN 2. The factory hand guard is too short, unless your a Battle Gnome or a Manlet. CZ should just give up on the "Factory Hot Mess" of a handguard and make this standard for the 8" and 11" pistols and use the longer HB Industries handguard on the 14" pistol. Besides the increased comfort and simplicity, the new handguard keep you from coming into contact with the hot gas block. Americans are by usually larger than Europeans, so this is a big help. Only the Scandinavian and the Finns seem to be our size or bigger, must be the Bear and Whale meat diet. HB Industries was nice enough to include two QD mounts as I requested, so Thank You very much. I would suggest that this be standard going forward, as its very handy to be able to switch sides for different shooters.

I am a huge Cz fan. However: Dear CZ. Please use less than $3.72 of loctite on your fasteners. Perhaps consider upping the torque spec by 5-10%. Removing some of these fasteners is scary at times due to the use of 1/10 of the worlds loctite being applied to CZ fasteners at any given time. Thanks! A CZ owner terrified of breaking your bolts.

just installed mine today, took me a bit on the bottom Torque screw closest to the chamber, ya "F" that thing. Had to get an impact driver out to get the screw out lol. All good now.
Just in time to install on my new 11 inch 7.62x39 on Monday
Great . My 2 screws on the bottom mounting plate are stuck 🙃
If you hit the screws really quick with a propane or butane torch it will make the melt the thread-lock and the screws should come out much easier
@@hb_industries thanks for the response! I will try that
Did you ever get your two bottom screws out? I'm having the same issue and ended up stripping mine trying to get them loose
@@cgtlea9202 yes. I ended up taking it to a gunsmith 😕
@@ChinoEEE yeahhhh I’m going to have to do the same
Anyone else strip out the screws on the bottom 🙋🏻♂️😂 CZ‘s factory Loctite is ridiculous had the same issue trying to take off the barrel nut off of my CZ scorpion smh actually two out of the five screws on the bottom got strip had to drill them out Thing don’t have to use them to put the handguard back on
How did you get the screws out???
I would suggest that this be standard going forward, as its very handy to be able to switch sides for different shooters.
finns are smaller than the Swedes..
2 things.
1. You need to fix the torque measurements in the video so people don't break their parts.
And
2. HBO's customer service is on point. I broke a piece because of this video but they replaced it and gave me a second qd plate that I forgot to ask for upon ordering.
%100 great product, customer service, and company!
Agree; we will be making an updated video. (Note to others reading this comment, the instructions included with our handguards are correct)
Has anyone done some accuracy testing before and after this handgaurd install?
I need one of these in rifle form soo hard
I am a huge Cz fan. However:
Dear CZ.
Please use less than $3.72 of loctite on your fasteners.
Perhaps consider upping the torque spec by 5-10%.
Removing some of these fasteners is scary at times due to the use of 1/10 of the worlds loctite being applied to CZ fasteners at any given time.
Thanks!
A CZ owner terrified of breaking your bolts.
the stock bren2 handguard is total ass. it has sooo many pieces to it.. HB handguard is a must
CZ should go to jail for adding locktite to these screws... stripped 2 of them.
Stripped the t25 screws that are near the trunnion smh
dont try this without a power tool trust me
Do not install this in your own. CZ uses like super glue on the bottom screws you'll end up stripping the bottom screws. Have a gun smith install this. Tbh have a gun smith install any thing hbi makes. Video makes it look simple, it's not.
I wish I read your comment before trying to do this myself. I stripped the bottom hex screws, now going to hopefully see if a gunsmith can get them out
Outright criminal that you don't have a proper supplier in Europe like Brownells or something, because the suppliers you have at the momenent in EU are useless.
We actually have a fairly large number of exporters that are very easy to work with. Many times getting product in your hands for less than the big box suppliers. Please email us with your country and location and we can recommend a few exporters that service your area.
@@hb_industries Already bought one from Thoron AG, they should have orderd one from you but they are outright shit at communicating with their customers.
Do NOT tourqe down to 90 inch/lb it's 35-45 this video is wrong.
This is a great video to fall asleep to! BORING!!
Looks like a missable product. Just of no interest to me. I’d rather trim it down than bulk it up.
The amount of hardware you remove drastically reduces the weight of the front end
What barrel length is that?
