Some time ago I made my way to Oman, rented a 4x4 and drove 3,350 kilometers literally around the whole country. I slept in my car every night, met more camels than people and had an absolute blast in that beautiful place. Oman is definitely my favorite country in the Middle East and I can't wait to go back.

I’m indian my dad worked there for more than 10 years he said that it’s the best country in middle east because he have traveled across saudi uae etc. My dad took me for vacation and it’s awesome,people are so friendly and middle east is not the way rest of the people think😊he speaks arabic though 😁

Hi Jacob!I loved your video, I am a native of Oman. just wanted to say that the camels are not wild, they are left to cruz and live how they like around the area, but they do have owners and they are identified by the markings on them .

I loved this video so much brought me back so many memories. I had the absolute pleasure to have lived in such an amazing and beautiful country like Oman for almost 8 years. I moved there with my family (mom, dad and older brother) in 2008 because my dad was offered a job there. When we first arrived it was a huge culture shocked, coming from Venezuela things were definitely different. But as time progressed we fell more and more in love with the country. We left in August of 2015 and unfortunately haven't been back since, but I'm sure that we'll, or I, will visit what I consider to be my second home in the future!!
My husband was arrested at the border in Oman. We cleared customs at the UAE border by car and a few feet from the border guard station there is an enormous sign that says "Welcome to the Sultanate of Oman" He took a picture of it and was arrested for taking a picture at a customs area. We spent most of the day at the police station waiting to be processed. The police were incredibly friendly and for the most part we watched TV and drank tea with them. When my husband was finally processed the main thing that helped was that he was contrite and sincerely apologized for the misdeed. They had him delete the photo of the sign and he was set free with no fine or punishment. We enjoyed Oman...but would pass on a repeat of that part of the trip.

I have lived in this country in 80's and last visited in 2016 after had left in 1988. I found Oman most peaceful and beautiful country in Middle East. People have become even more humble despite being wealthy and educated. I would love to spend some of my retirement part in Oman.

You visited Salalah Darbat and you said its empty of peaple that's because not season of it the wether is very hot and humid .it would be very crowded at the ahe autumn and you'll find many many beautiful views.
For me the best part of your vedio is Ash Shuwaymiyyah 😭 I really like this place where the beautiful beach and Stone formations in the mountains many peaple from gulf countries come there for fishing and to spend their vacations there away from city's and modren life.

In North Uist in Scotland, a small Scottish island that you can get to from a ferry from skye, they have the best beaches I've ever experienced. White sands, blue water/sky, no people. You should really experience scotland ♡
