1977 ; only "dahl and rice" was available at the shack I used to eat
no chapati either, but processed cheese in big blue tins. The evening I crossed the bridge, coming up from Naggar, the scene was surreal: among the hot vapour whirls was a group of German folks playing tapes on a battery taperecorder "Autobahn" from Kraftwerk and in the middle was Shankar Baba lightnin a silver chillum

sounds so nice what a great memory ,the place is still magical ,the river is still amazing ,alot less european travellers now and mostly just indian tourists but the magic is still to be found
