Just watching this made me released how rich and abundant my country was and how we were robbed multiple times by the intruders just because we were more hospitable, welcoming and way far ahead of any other world cultures at that period. Seeing the sheer abundance of produce and flowers, the architecture, engineering and manpower in the boats and the quality and quantity of food being prepared for astronomical crowd and the different forms of martial artworks made me realize that we are a dynamic society which was looted from becoming a superpower. I hope we all share our love for our country and hope the earlier years of prosperity and hospitality make our country great again 🥺❣❤‍🔥

As I write this, tears are rolling down my face as I miss my dear friend Manu, who was from Kerala and we lost him in the Covid pandemic. Just like different colourful flowers together arranged in certain way looks more beautiful and varities of foods metaphorically shows India with it's very diverse poeple brought together and living peacfully in one place. The whole episode was awesome, heartwarming and wholesome. The narration, the background music, the camera shots, the editing everything is bang on. I have not seen Onam being covered like this. Kudos to the entire crew for making this👏👏🙌🫡. I am so glad that I could see this episode. Will see all the episodes of Mega Festivals to know about the rich traditions being observed and followed for other festivals❤❤

FYI for Europeans and Westerners watching, the kingdom of Travancore in the Southern part of Kerala, India, is the first South Asian kingdom to defeat a European kingdom. We defeated the Dutch and that put an end to their colonial endeavour in India forever. Our kings also hid more than 20 billion USD worth (in current value) of wealth from the British thieves

    Dear Gary,
It is astonishing to see you well versed in our Traditional Kitchen Works!
You don't fumble and tumble to do things. Whether it is rowing on our Chundan Vallam, wearing a Mundu, grinding a coconut, roasting the Green Gram for Paayasam or taking part in our Traditional Keralam Aattam and eating with bare bands, walking on bare foot, it seems that you are so sure to get acquainted very easily and fluently!!
We suspect that you underwent some South Indian Houseworks already!!
Greetings and Thanks for your Fantabulous coverage of all sections of our Great Onam Thiruvishaa!!
Very special mention to you dedicated videographer and his team for presenting a very impeccable piece of video recording and audio recording!! No letups, no muffled voices, no hazy frames!!
Congrats to National Geographic Bhaarath (India).

Kerala is very special in terms of culture, Hinduism, classical music, classical dance music etc.. The land where Guru and Vayu themselves enshrined the idol of Krishna, the land of Shankaracharya, the land created by Parashurama.. its very special. And my state Andhra Pradesh has a special connection with Kerala. When the priest population was dwindling in Kerala , A group of priests from a village called Sarpavaram in Godavari district, were migrated to Kerala , to continue the tantric tradition of rituals in temples.. they are the namboodiris..

For me Onam started and ended with mind blowing Sadhya. But now I want to visit Kerala during Onam festivities at least once in my lifetime and soak in the festival
    spirit.

Onam is just limited to one state of India, Kerala. It has a history and tradition of thousand years. This is what it makes India so special.
The primary gods, Hari and Hara remains same, but the ways they are celebrated is so different and colourful.
