This is the best festival for all Bengalis, this is our emotion, our own Maa Durga come to us... The days counting even start right from the end of the previous year's Durga Puja. My heart is beating with pride while writing this.
Durga Puja 🌸🌹🌾🍁🎉✨🎊🤩😍😇
I can't see the immersion. In my home I perform Durga Pujo and in every Dashami I cry my eyes out. Loved this documentary! But there are still many things remained untouched to completely capture the essence of this unique festival. We call it our very own Pujo ! Love
No one could've done better job than Gary Mehigan.. His excitement is worth watching.. This series is amazing

Goddess mighty, eyes aglow,
Blessing all, above, below.
India's spirit, in festivity sings,
In Durga's grace, true beauty springs.
I got goosebumps just saw the pandals and hear the name of Durga Pooja, I just imagine what if I'm there. In my city also, durga pooja is celebrated in a humongous style and every year, I'm waiting for those 5 days when durga pooja is celbrated in my city, for me durga pooja is the best festive but I just want to see the Kolkata's Durga pooja once in my life.
It doesn't matter whether you are a Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Buddhist. If you are Indian or Bangladeshi.
IF YOU ARE A BENGALI DURGA PURJA IS FOR YOU
As a Bengali I'm proud to see this episode. Durga Puja is not only festival but emotion of us. Love from Kolkata. ❤❤❤

NAT GEO has brilliantly captured the essence and flavour of Durga Puja. But like I say to everyone, Durga Puja is something that has to be experienced in person, because it truly is a mega festival, the scale of which is not seen anywhere else!

What a documentary film made about Kolkata's greatest festival of Durga puja.❤
Liked it.
Very warmly presented and successfully encapsulates the spirit of Mahishasura Mardini Durga Puja festival in Calcutta.
An added attraction, for me, was to see some of the familiar faces in the cast :)
Being a bangali this is really a very well portray of our emotion and it's beutifully portrayed.......loved it

This is our India
With many different religions but one heart
Thousands of different recipes but one mouth
Thousands different festival but everyone enjoys it.
It's our Indian culture. We're most diverse in cultures, languages, races, castes and religions. This is culture that bonds us together, it makes us happy, it keeps un undivided despite of diversity. Other than India, most countries which lacks culture, suffering from loneliness and dipression.
Please don't say caste, I would recommend reading Caste a Colonial Conspiracy
@@user-rq2de3ww8z no, it wasn't a colonial conspiracy, it was brought by Aryans who came from Eastern Europe, they bought VARNA system where in which were decided/divided by VARNA, in or after later Vedic period, it started creating many castes.
@@IamKeshavKumar why don't you read the book which is very well researched, instead of giving out random what's app type opinions, I am sure if that's not the case you would be able to give point point by point rebuttal, also Aryan Dravidian theory was part of divide and rule strategy.
@@IamKeshavKumar Bhai we have have a complex structure, but we never used the word caste untill British, it was introduced by British, it's a Portuguese word means class, the whole of Europe was going through a era of race studies, you missing out on a whole part of history
@@IamKeshavKumar
Varna is based on work
Jati (literally means species)
Panth (belief system)
Dharma had and equally opposite Adharam
THANKS.....DURGA PUJA IS OUR EMOTION....WE PROUDLY KEEP OUR CLUTURE ALIVE....AS AN INDIAN IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THEM ALIVE
