Best time to visit Salalah?
The monsoon season starts from June until September. Best times to visit Salalah are JULY AND AUGUST month. If you are going to expect these months, no waterfalls, no water in the river, no monsoon, and completely dry. better June to September is the best time to visit.
How to reach from Muscat to Salalah?
Two options to reach Salalah
1. Travel by your own vehicles it will take 12 hours from Muscat Journey in the desert. from Muscat to Salalah 300 km no problem, remain 700 km deep desert. (don't drive in day time in the peak summer, temperature touch more than 45 degrees). keep your vehicle in very good condition then travel.
2. Travel by flight takes 1 hr 30 min, direct flight from Muscat to Salalah.
Any Gas station Available between Muscat to Salalah?
Don't worry, every 100 km (approx) Gas station and restrooms are available. better keep your vehicle fuel tanks in full condition.
Debit and credit card acceptance in Oman gas station?
No. Mostly do not accept debit cards or credit cards. better carry cash.
Are there any Hotel rooms available in Salalah?
Yes. There are many types of rooms available, Price slightly higher during season time. Price starts at Approx. 15 OMR.
Muscat to Salalah road is good?
Yes, Very good road but a 2-way road, drive safely and a Speed limit of 120km/h.
Did you cover all places in Salalah?
No. because I stayed in 3 days. there are many places to visit Salalah.
How Long stay in Salalah to cover all places?
At least 4 to 5 days stay in Salalah to cover all place.
Did they accept gulf country currencies?
Yes. Accepted all outlets. For example, if you have AED (United Arab Emirates). Just pay AED and get the balance in OMR. No issue about currencies.
Salalah is the capital city of southern Oman's Dhofar province. It's known for its banana plantations, Arabian Sea beaches, and waters teeming with sea life. The Khareef, an annual monsoon, transforms the desert terrain into a lush, green landscape and creates seasonal waterfalls. The Frankincense Land Museum, part of the Al Balid Archaeological Site, recounts the city’s maritime history and role in the spice trade.

You can fly from Muscat to Salalah, you do not need to drive it... Salalah provides visas at the airport too, but it is easier to get the visa ahead of time in Muscat. The immigration in Salalah is very strict compared to Muscat, from my past experiences.

I was working at RAFO Thumrait it's around 100km to Salalah. most of free time so many occasions I was visiting from Thumrait to Salalah with my colleagues. Salalah is the Swiss of Middle East. One of the best natural place in the Deserted countries...Natural gift to Oman. Everybody should visit and enjoy Salalah in Oman.

There are many Green and even forested area in the Middle East (Better Called South West Asia) which covers a large area from north Iraq to Egypt to South Oman.
For instance in Saudi they have snow in the north during winter, also there are forests in the Abha region. Lebanon has Cedar Forests and several surrounding areas have this. So Salalah is not alone.
Finally, our Countries are not "Deserted" which means empty and void people, They are occupied by people since before history and time immemorial...I think you meant "Mostly Desert Countries".

The area is more a South West Asia region. So all the areas including Lebanon and Northern Iraq are better described as South West Asia.

I am well versed in geography and the etymology of the term "Middle East".
Finally, the borders of Europe are well known. They do NOT extend into Anatolia (Mainland Turkey) or south of the Caucasus mountains or East of the Ural mountains.
Lebanon and northern Iraq are definitely in Asia. No need to reinvent the wheel. Also being in Asia is not a disparaging term. Actually, Asia is one of the more progressive continents on Earth.
On a different topic in English, you cannot say "No any" it is "There are not any" or "isn't any" if it is singular. I typically see this error from Eastern Europeans which I am guessing you are from.

I was there in SALALAH..that time I'm working in QUASABIYAT AL-BUSAEED,KABURA,OMAN..1985-89..a perfect place for relaxation during summer..I like it .. like BAGUIO CITY,summer capital of the PHILIPPINES..I LOVE SALALAH...
