They are always ready to talk to you and be friends with you. In India you can't just miss your family and all. But if an Indian travels to western country, or else let's say, even if you travel to other white people country, you will feel lonely. People mind their own business, it's not cool. For them money and job is more important. Indians look for happiness in little things.

We don't consider all foreigners as Hollywood celebrities that's just too overhyped 😂, rest we can't take stuff on our Army , Religion and Studies 👍 else we are all good
Why the selfie thing? 😂 not that I find it bad, just curious! I am from Spain Europe and I am India since 2 years. I have mo problem with taking selfies. Just sometimes maybe you had a bad day or you feel your hair doesnt look good 😂🙈🙈 and you dont feel like being in 10 diferent photos. So sometimes its a bit difficult bcs I like to look good in photos 😅😅 Or because I am tired that day. Anyway its kind of funny I just never understood why people wants a selfie🤔
@@Yulia.chandrika In India, people take selfies with cows too. We Indians love selfies as memories. Even though everyone is not a vlogger like me, it serves a cute little memory for us. It's like going home & saying, hey look, mom! Who did I meet today? It's the obsession of being a good host. (We believe out guests are God. Also, the tagline of Indian tourism). Indians are so insanely proud. We just get so super duper happy that you are visiting our country. We want to show it off. So, there it goes on our social media stories. See how many tourists are coming to see my incredible India. (I know all humans must be proud when they see tourists in their country but...Indians are like, another level proud & happy that you came to visit us). I hope I could explain the reason. I understand what you say about looking good. But the basic essence of a photograph is not to look good, a memoir like this, is to record life as it is, accepting of your flaws, accepting & flaunting how tired you're because you saw the Incredible India! (Just as iWeigh says you're worth more than your looks.) It's about living the moment regardless of how you look. It's about owning that one second of frame that would lapse, if not clicked. It's not a modelling show. No one cares how you look. You're a guest. And you're our God. You're important to us. We share a little frame with you to show you how welcoming we are. We're obsessed with hospitality. It's just an Indian thing.
Lol I'm laughing because everything is true. 😂 Even we Indians do get scammed by some of them... And we can't stand a single words against our country because we're continuously fighting cold wars, and this spirit is the only reason (besides Indian military obviously) that we still have our existence.
@@the_dreams_weaver Because their skin glows too much. White skinned people are not very common ,majority of population is brown and the words which come from these foreigner's mouth is not also not common for them. Now how would you react if you see someone who is totally different from your locality you looks different, who talks different. You would obviously look at them right?
Yeah it's a common thing in rural or semi-urban areas - people will try to assess whether you are a threat (because no police station exists there) or someone who needs help... They do that when they are free, if they are busy they don't even look even if it's the Lord Yama standing in front of them....
I was laughing when I started watching... But slowly I got worried that India might not be leaving a very good impression on foreigners. 😅 I mean the stolen camera and scams were a black spot! I am not very happy about it. But, India is so much more than these things. Our diverse culture, languages, backgrounds, history, traditions, values, etc. makes us proud. The 11th point was very much true. We ourselves criticize different situations in India all the time but when an outsider says anything, we get very possessive. Coz we are very proud of values our ancestors left us. It's just how it is!! Btw....Your experience can be outstanding in India. You just have to meet the right people....😊 Loved listening to this!!!❤

@@santoshsingh-mh2ft actually almost all travel bloggers talk about things not to do in every country. I think that being Indian, we get to see only those focussing on India. Another thing is that we are indeed a Very tolerant crowd. Either he is incredibly polite or incredibly sarcastic. I am Indian and now live in Germany. Well as long as I was in India I didn't think much about the traffic rules and stuff. Thought to myself that this was the norm. But as soon as I went back to India for vacation after living for a year in Europe I realised how really bad the situation is on Indian roads. Wow! And at that moment I thought to never ride anything on the Indian roads again!

I am from Spain but I have been living in India for more than 2 years. Ahaha the " where are you from" thing 😂 I get asked daaily several times, and eventually I made up a country which doesnt exist just to have a little bit of fun amd see people's reaction trying to figure out where my country called " Ulankala Iseland"😂 is. All the things he says are true are very good tips. About the selfies thing I agree, I understand and I take selfies with families kids or with anyone who comes with is an inocent actitude. But sometimes drunk man aproach you and they wanna take a photo being like all over you to show they partied with a foreigner and I find that a litlle disrespectfull. That may happen simply on the street where you were not even partying just taking some quiet dinner, specially in north Goa. Its not a big deal but sometimes you just had a bad day or something and you dnt feel like being in 10 diferent photos with random dudes, and you dont feel comfortable, I think they should aslo sometims make an effort and understand you are a person too and that you are not something just to entretain but also have your life and your boundaries. Of course I am not saying this happens often but it does happen. But most of the time indian people are just incredibly welcoming and helpfull.

@ Northeast is way too green, hilly and cooler than kerela. Although Kerela is an amazing place to visit? The problem in Northeast is that the infrastructure isn't developed to touristic levels so travelling can be a problem. But if you're a Biker it's a heaven for you.
The roads used to scare me xD I remember being on the two wheeled vehicle / scooty and the roads were always bumpy and rough. There were also gaps. But I honestly like that kind of road because it keeps you awake and more aware of your surroundings. It can also help improve driving skills
@@sajalkmr definitely better than before, but mostly in urban areas. As someone who has done bit of biking across rural areas, I can tell you rural roads would be a nightmare to Europeans unless they are used to off roading.

And Yeah alot of scammers are there In India.. Cleaning shoes, washing dress etc do em by yourself.. Use uber/ola to book cabs.. Cause local driver's will always try to take most money out of you.. Yes the food is not very much suitable for foriegners,So you can use uber eats/ swiggy/foodpanda etc to order food online..(From McDonalds Pizzahut etc) And if you want to to try Indian food only buy items like kebab,Chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka etc The very cheap food are never safe.. Also don't try very spicy foods.. Also take yogurt or curd to cool down your stomach or banana..
Yeah, the beeping is also used to warn bystanders that I will be passing don't stray into my way. I also beep a lot just before turning blind corners to broadcast that I am there don't run me over!

Oh, hell naw. We stare cuz we stare. Because saying hi hello to stranger is not culturally ok. People still acknowledge the presence of a human. We observe with eyes. Nothing with language. English is one of our official language. And this man speaks English. I speak 4 languages. And I get stared at the same no matter what I am speaking. Trust me we Indians stare at Indians the same way! It's just a thing. It's not meant to be rude. We just look at you.
You should have called Police 100 when your GoPro was lost/stolen. Police are very helpful and active when it is related to Tourist places and foreigners. In a way, you directly encouraged the thief for future and a Bad name for us just because you didn't bother to call Police. So Right tip should be " Do Not do what I did, not calling the police and putting it on RUclips that things get stolen and it is normal.
In a tourist place like that police would've questioned him and bothered maybe a few others, would've asked him if he smoked weed (and similar questions) and would've wasted a good couple of hours, without really accomplishing anything.. given that he has already traveled most of India, lived in slums, rode hinterlands on bike, I'm guessing he has had some experience of Indian police
@@Tathagatchat I understand your view, But in reality, if any foreigner tourist registers a complaint it is given high priority. Even soon there will be a dedicated Twitter handle for tourists complaints, and now we know too many examples about how Indian Govt. has helped people in distress on Twitter that was un-imaginable few years back. And please don't make assumptions and do not justify saving a couple of hours against crime. And no, police do not harass tourist as such cases are monitored at SP and above level.

Being an Indian, I do get pissed off at some of things you mentioned (I have no idea how you endured it) - 1. People beeping on roads for no reason 2. Selfies / not considering other person's private space (in India, private space is very narrow) 3. Not being on time (I am guilty of that too at times) 4.
So sometimes its a bit difficult bcs I like to look good in photos 😅😅
Or because I am tired that day.
(Just as iWeigh says you're worth more than your looks.)
It's about living the moment regardless of how you look.
Even we Indians do get scammed by some of them... And we can't stand a single words against our country because we're continuously fighting cold wars, and this spirit is the only reason (besides Indian military obviously) that we still have our existence.

The honking is actually a part of our non-verbal communication 😂😂
I was laughing when I started watching... But slowly I got worried that India might not be leaving a very good impression on foreigners. 😅 I mean the stolen camera and scams were a black spot! I am not very happy about it.
But, India is so much more than these things. Our diverse culture, languages, backgrounds, history, traditions, values, etc. makes us proud.
The 11th point was very much true. We ourselves criticize different situations in India all the time but when an outsider says anything, we get very possessive. Coz we are very proud of values our ancestors left us. It's just how it is!!

We don't stare for any reason at all. Foreigner tag on you makes us stare lol. But, also, we stare at locals too. And that's what even we wonder while staring as to "Why are we staring?"
When they stare smile. Usually they will smile back. That's a curious stare .
