- DIRECT RESPONSE: • SDA Confusion: Jesus v... . We will be responding (and refuting) Myles Ketelsen of Answering Adventism to demonstrate, once again, that he has not answered much. In this video Myles, while admitting that Jesus is referred to as the "angel of the Lord," attempts to prove that Michael is nevertheless not Jesus, "the Lord God almighty."
The pre-incarnate appearances of Christ (often referred to in theology as Christophany) is not unique to Seventh-day Adventism. Many evangelical leaders have recognized this fact, but some of the greatest Protestant reformers went further by connecting Jesus with the appearances of Michael in the Old Testament. In a somewhat vague and weak attempt Myles tries to refute this also. We will be responding to this and more in this next episode of SDAS REACT TO. See you there!

Ellen White is not the Spirit of prophecy. She contradicts Scriptures, elevates Satan and the Ten Commandments and demoted Jesus Christ to be Michael the archangel.

God’s Word refers to Michael “the archangel.” (Jude 9) This term means “chief angel.” Notice that Michael is called the archangel. This suggests that there is only one such angel.
Conclusion
The Bible states that “Michael and his angels battled with the dragon . . . and its angels.” (Revelation 12:7) Thus, Michael is the Leader of an army of faithful angels. Revelation also describes Jesus as the Leader of an army of faithful angels. (Revelation 19:14-16) And the apostle Paul specifically mentions “the Lord Jesus” and “his powerful angels.” (2 Thessalonians 1:7) So the Bible speaks of both Michael and “his angels” and Jesus and “his angels.” (Matthew 13:41; 16:27; 24:31; 1 Peter 3:22) Since God’s Word nowhere indicates that there are two armies of faithful angels in heaven-one headed by Michael and one headed by Jesus-it is logical to conclude that Michael is none other than Jesus Christ in his heavenly role.

We howevèr need to appreciate that they do what they do. They are out in popularizing the SDA and are making it easy for the church to preach to people that already have an idea about our message than those who have no idea sometimes.
Some of them are in fact themselves learning in the process as some of them are sincerely in need of knowledge as well as help.

I have to say I disagree with your reading of Ellen White saying that "the man Jesus Christ was not the Lord God Almighty" refers to Him giving up certain aspects of His divinity. I could argue this from scripture, but Ellen White said regarding Philippians 2:8-9 in RH, March 27, 1870 that Christ laid aside "His majesty, His splendor, His glory and His honor in assuming humanity". She also says that the glory He left in heaven was the "glory of the Father which He shared with Him before the world was"- RH, June 25, 1854
Elsewhere she states that Christ "left His throne of glory", or exchanged "the throne of light and glory which He had with the Father for humanity,"(RH, September 11, 1888) and "stepped down from the glorious throne in heaven."(RH, December 11, 1888)
While he left His heavenly glory, throne and position at the right hand of the Father, He did not give up His Deity in the incarnation.
"For our sake He stepped down from His royal throne, and clothed His divinity with humanity. He laid aside His royal robe, His kingly crown, that He might he one with us."- Ellen White, RH, October 24, 1899
The phrase "veiled His divinity in humanity" is very common in Ellen White, yet veiling should be understood as hiding within human flesh, not as giving up certain divine attributes.
"He veiled His divinity with the garb of humanity, but He did not part with His divinity. "- RH, June 15, 1905
According to her, Christ did not lose His divinity when He became man. He was not simply a good man who had been God before. She says: "Though He took humanity upon Himself, He was divine. All that is attributed to the Father Himself is attributed to Christ."- May 19, 1896
"This was not done by going out of Himself to another, but by taking humanity into Himself."- RH, April 5, 1906
"Christ had not ceased to be God when He became man. Though He had humbled Himself to humanity, the Godhead was still His own" (The Desire of Ages, pp.663,664).
Jesus was still fully God just as the Bible clearly says in Colossians 2:9, Christ didn't give up His power or attributes, but remained fully God even in the incarnation.
Now to the question can God die? It is clear that the divine nature doesn't die, Ellen White says it more times, but Christ died in His humanity, divinity persisted in death, because it wasn't affected, yet humanity truly died. Even if Christ remained fully God, it is not the divine nature that ceased to live, but the human. It is fairer to say, Christ is immortal by virtue of His divinity, but mortal by virtue of His humanity.

@dariusmot8440 I agree with you. What the disagreement is, is that when Jesus became man he did not seize to be God Almighty because that is who he is and not what he becomes. Christians believe that Jesus was both truly God and truly man. Two natures in perfect unity- where EGW goes wrong is that she stated that "the man Jesus is not God Almighty" and that she Jesus had a fallen nature.
At the end of the day, the Jesus that your prophet puts before you is not the Jesus of the scripture.@@thatnicekid04

Michael the archangel raised Jesus from the grave because according to Hebrews 1:5 that the Father is angel and compare the description of an angel in the book of Ezekiel and in the book of Revelation that the description mentioned in this two books is a jasper.

Myles was a rebellious child just seeing the tattoo he wears. He wants to get at his family by fighting what they hold dear( the religion). Just pray for him because he is walking off the path of righteousness for the sake of frustration

From my opinion I think it's best that we stick just to the Bible and that we don't start guessing and assuming that there are other Arc Angels. If we don't see it in the Bible, or specifically if it says there are more than one Ark angel.
Then start believing it. But otherwise, it's not for us to know until we get to see the Lord and the Lords ways are simple, easy to understand, and straightforward so that we can and are not guessing when we have the Holy Spirit with us.
I would say simple is best.

It's dishonesty to say the word Michael means one who is like God. That's incorrect. It means who is like God?
It's a rhetorical question to imply that nobody is like God. That question mark is important, so that argument is faulty.
I agree in the Hebrew text it is a question. It may or may not be rhetorical. Either way, we see him in most cases contending with the Devil who himself wants to be like God (Isa. 14:14). His very appearance as Michael pushes back on the Devils plans. He is not the one who is like God. Michael is. And that is why Michael is Jesus, "the image of the invisible God" (Col. 1:15).
@@AdventDefenseLeague but that becomes your interpretation and it doesn't mean it is factual. We can look at the context of Isaiah 14 and I might arrive at a different conclusion to you. The point is that what you stated in the video is incorrect, Michael doesn't imply that the bearer of the name is like God, that's importing into the text. It is a question not a statement, who is like God? I can provide articles from both Christian Hebrew scholars and Jewish scholars, all saying it is a rhetorical question meant to suggest that nobody is like God. So your second statement is incorrect
@@Dee1Mreven though it may be a question, there are several reasons in scripture why Michael is another name for Jesus. ADL has proven that several times. See for yourself.
@@thatnicekid04 and those reasons must be scrutinized. I haven't alluded to those reasons, I'm just correcting an error that they made, then to look at the other reasons will take a bit of time. For example the voice of an archangel in thesalonnians, I see they used that verse but that verse doesn't say Jesus will be the one shouting or announcing. So things like that must be addressed properly with proper exegesis respecting the context, proof texting or a little here and a little there principle is not a sound method of reading the word of God.

It doesn't say in the Bible that Michael the archangel who is a creature raised Moses from the dead. The only one who can resurrected Moses from the dead is the Creator which is our LORD God Jesus Christ alone.

Michael the archangel belong to the category of an angels which is a created being created by our LORD God Jesus Christ with a description of a jasper in Ezekiel 28:13 in Revelation 4:3. The meaning of Michael "who is like God" but not God himself. The one God of the Bible is our LORD God Jesus Christ the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Almighty God, the Prince of Peace, the Everlasting Father, the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Concerning this, people don’t realize that the Bible gives names that describes who it is talking about. For instance. Jesus, the meaning of His name is Jehovah saves. John the Baptist, dead to sin alive in God. Emanuel God with us. Lucifer light of God. Of course that name was changed to Satan, the deceiver. On and on and on.

Where do you read archangel in the Bible? Except for Michael. (The Greek root word, arkhangelos, is made up of arkh, "first or chief," and angelos, "angel." Definitions of archangel. an angel ranked above the highest rank in the celestial hierarchy) there is no other first. Adding arc to Gabriel or Uriel or any other angel like many do is not biblical. The only other time you read prince for an angel is for Satan. And that’s because he had dominion on earth and he is not in the dominion of God. Sin is Not Gods domain. That’s my take on it.
