- This is Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's final cutscene which leads into the final boss fight with SHINRYU. This cutscene features the massive CGI battle between the heros and villians. Enjoy.

@@richardsonmedina Luna and Noctis never have a normal interaction. In every scene they are together she keeps rambling on and on about their duty last the Oracle and the Chosen King. That's basically no different from coworkers. Couples never talk like they do

I'm not a fanboy. I'm only comparing them trough feats, you know, as all versus should be. Lightning is one of the top strongest through the feats she showed on her game. WOL is possibly the strongest though. Sephiroth is, at most, a planetary level threat. Lightning, was able to goe toe to toe with a being that shaped an entire universe.
@@juanlaise1059 Its been awhile since I've played the Lightning trilogy so I might be a bit rusty on my knowledge. But from my understanding, Bhunivelze did not create a universe. It seems more like he created two planets...Pulse and possibly the Type-0 planet. Also, I think it was more like his Fal'Cie underlings were the ones who created the worlds. Bhunivelze may have been seen as God, but in actuality he was no more powerful than a character like Zeus. Lightning in goddess form is indeed more powerful than SOLDIER 1st class Sephiroth. But is she more powerful than Jenova-infused Sephiroth is the question. If I remember correctly, goddess Lightning required the souls of an entire planet to merge with her sword before she could deliver the killing blow to Bhuni.
I wonder if that would be enough to kill Jenova/Sephiroth. Cloud and co were fighting Jenova/Sephiroth on two different fronts. Cloud and his party were fighting him physically in the Norther Crater. And Aerith was fighting his influence within the Lifestream itself. Would goddess Lightning be able to do something similar?

We were literally robbed of having any ff13 villian in dissidia. There's caius, there's 13-3 snow (do some mind shenanigans to put him on bad side), there's Noel (13-3 that thought he had to kill lightning)
I love how Cloud get's Squalls back. These 2 are like the Ryu and Ken of streetfighter to me. I love them. There should be a game with just the two of them. Would be better than the crap square enix is putting out now.

Yeah, but you'd only really see them together in Dissidia and Kingdom Hearts games. It's due to the fact that such Final Fantasy worlds are not connected to each other at all.

It is kinda sad that the character design of FF shifted from Amano art style to that of Nomura. Hopefully 16 will reign in some of the edgy design choices.
Nomura's been doing the character designs since FF6 though. I'm pretty sure Amano only drew artwork for the characters not designed them himself

The end for the conflict
"Toe to toe". Squall never went toe to toe with Sephiroth. They clashed swords a few time in a scene of a fighting game series and that was it. And as far as Lightning is concerned, she did become really powerful in her series. Dissidia still skips the opportunity to show Sephiroth with everything he could possibly do because swordsman skills are far from being the end of his arsenal.

@@leonajonesbrown3642 It's just so that it looks cool. The purpose of crossover games like this is to see how one character from a game would fare against another from a different game. We've seen Cloud and Sephiroth fight a billion times already, but Noctis and lighting vs Sephiroth is new

This was all Sephiroth's work lol and Mateus was of course just in it for the chance at summons, bastard haha. Thank Sephiroth for devising they should draw out Shinryu and destroy him, so they could all get back to their lives, and so he could aquire a god-awful new voice and get started on a Remake he knows is a remake.
The endless strife between light and darkness, this fight leads nowhere to much light and you become blind to much darkness and you can't see nothing at all, BALANCE sadly all these warriors possess strength only, they have 0 wisdom to be BALANCED.
That's why in Dissidia Opera Omnia, the warriors of Materia and Spiritus frequently ally with each other in order to face the existential threats of Shinryuu and torsions (and later, an unstable crystal core). DFFOO has a surprisingly philosophical narrative for a mobile gacha game.
A detail that disappointed me during this CGI clash is that most FF villains and especially mages,do not even have a visible weapon or shield to parry and put themselves on guard,especially Kuja,Kefka,Golbez despite his armor,Ultimecia and Cloud of Darkness
