Well she was fighting against Ultimecia and also ambushed by Cloud of Darkness, I guess when the 2 most powerful female villains join forces is because they know they are fighting against someone who is not precisely weak 🤔
in OG Dissidia she was battling Ultimecia and got ambushed by Mateus, and blocked/reflected from on Ultimeticia's attack on to Garland, on average its taking two bosses just too handle her she's acting timid and shy per usual, but she's usually kiteing up at least 2 of the most powerful FF bosses by herself
@Aime Bukasa The PSP games were superior in story and _definitely_ in gameplay. Meanwhile, this one only has the advantage of superior graphics (and a few here and there that PSP couldn't handle) . Definitely should've been a movie like Advent Children.
@Aime Bukasa Ironic really. They could've used the engine to improve the PSP games (hell, even a remaster would've been fine). But nope, they just had to change the best parts of the game. I just hope they learned their lesson if they ever make another one (or I'll just wish whoever thought of the idea to be fired)
Damn... if only they didn't quit the DLC for ff15 then finally Luna could be more of a better character than just a love interest for noct. Otherwise I agree.
The nod to newer fans watching Noctis and Lightning team up against Sepiroth was cool. Anyone who started playing after the 10-12 era knows who these two are and by extension have probably heard of Sepiroth in some form.😊
He is best boy, after all. Every hypes Sephiroth to no end, but Jecht is just... "I'll block this myself. I got a little banged up because of it, but... Eh, I'll be okay in about 5-10 seconds".
To be fair, Jecht had one of the best block special in the two original Dissidia. He was also one of the most fun character to play with his style of "combo".
I remember a quote she said, tho I don't remember which dissdia (or final fantasy spin-off she was in) but I remember she said "It is very unwise to judge me by size", seems like she was right, both by height and by magic power lol
@creeperkinght1144 Shantotto is just a very powerful mage so her magic can be quite overpowering. It takes 12 seconds to cast, can be recast every 60 seconds, and coats 315 MP. And it's learned at Level 60. 😊
This is hands down the most amazing battle scene in the history of games. The sheer level of detail that went into it is amazing. This could have been fit for a final fantasy movie
This battle is awesome!, but not the best ever. I think y'all need to see a little battle called Solid Snake vs Liquid Ocelot in a little game called Metal gear solid 4. Oh...and you can participate on that one....
It may look like Terra's "weak" but in the part when all magic users combined their powers, she was in the middle, it's like she's the one leading them, having the most potential in magic...
As much as I love Terra, I don't think Dissidia really does her any justice in these fight scenes. Part of it is her personality but they just keep making her a damsel in distress.
@@akkiko that is so true, there's always someone who protects her in the fight scenes like i wanna see her fight using her destructive powerssss for a change
The thing is, I thing the biggest case is that Terra is generally just scared of her own power, and therefore, she's constantly holding back. If she let all her power out, she might potentially be the strongest character in the Dissidia cast. Her being relegated to the role of damsel is an unfortunate consequence of her constantly holding back. Though still, while we get that it's in character for her to refrain from her power, the animators could benefit from her having more epic fights where she at least gets to show off a little and go on a more offensive stance, rather than always being on defense.
@@0axis771 Either that or Esper form is actually weak as shit and that's why it's barely used as a plot device in FF6. There's never really a good scale for gauging Terra's power.
Being able to put my 3 favorite characters of the series, Squall, noctis and Cloud in the same team. Makes me so happy every time I play. Dissidia is a masterpiece of a video game and I hope it continues to be loved by fans in the years to come
I was actually just thinking about this the other day while playing FFX, haha. Honestly, Jecht instead of Seymour actually works for two reasons: 1) obviously for the plot (much more intense and intimate having son vs father, and all the complications with it), and 2) who the heck even is Seymour without Yuna? He's only a baddie for trying to steal Tidus's gf and getting all butt hurt three more times about it after failing. Without the love story, he's not even really relevant as a bad guy. Jecht always will be though, because Tidus has been angry at him almost his entire life. Also 3) who wants another spellcaster on the bad guys' team?
@@SamusDaHero You need to replay FFX bro, cause Seymour is way more than that. 1. He kills his own father to take his political seat amongst the maesters. 2. He uses the worlds religions to further his own plots. The wedding between him and Yuna was two things: Him thinking he was the next Yu Yevon and him using the guado human relationship to build bridges. 3. Despite dying he defies the religion he pretends to follow to gain more power so that he himself can become the next sin( not Sin itself but a being more powerful than it.). 4. He staged various political attacks to cover his tracks. He attacks Luca in order to save it to prove the guado and he are saviours. He then attacks the al bhed home to silence the al bhed who he himself employed under the guise of "theres another way to kill sin and save the summoners." Jecht was a personal battle for Tidus, not for FFX or the villains of FFX. His backstory has him acting like an adult Tidus; Reckless, unsure about the new world, full of himself, and naive. In the climax of FFX their entire story boils down to "Im sorry if it seemed like i hated you, i just wanted you to be better than me." with Tidus being like "fucking really? You could have told me but i get it. I gotta kill you now for Spira's eternal calm to happen, but lets go all out as a father and son who have new found respect for each other would."
Seeing jecht protecting tidus from the dragon blast is heart warming. Tbh jecht isn't really a bad guy. At the end of final fantasy 10 I'm pretty sure he did all the things he did was to protect tidus
@@loganmarano9532 fun fact Seymour was meant to be in the first Dissidia game but the development staff had a debate whether or not to put him or Jecht in but in the end Jecht made it in because in quote “if Yuna was in the game we would have added Seymour because he has a connection to Yuna whereas Jecht has more of a connection to Tidus.” I still wish if we could have gotten Yuna and Seymour in the base roster from the roster. Like imagine the interactions and conflicts all four characters would have in this war
He absolutely isn't a villain. He became sin because he thought that he could be the one to end the cycle of death in Spira. He wanted Tidus to succeed in killing him and simultanteously end the dreaming of the fayth after 1000 years and deliver peace for Spira
Hell in the 012 prequel story it explicitly says that in the cycle that happens before the first dissidia game jecht was flat out a good guy, a warrior of cosmos and traveling with Yuna in search of Tidus, he sacrificed himself to save Tidus which caused him to switch sides for the next cycle.

Ah Shinryu the golden dragon. That bastard made everyone's lives a living hell back including Cosmos, Chaos and The Great Will from the dimension of Lufenia in the old Dissidia. And now he's messing with everyone again.
if you go frame by frame at 4:15 : Lightning/sephiroth cloud/jecht Terra & Shantotto/Cloud of Darkness squall/Golbez Firion/kuja noctis/Exdeath Y'Shtola/Emperor tidus/Cecil??? i think??? & Kefka (you have to pause at 4:20 and squint, i'm pretty sure that's Cecil) Warrior of Light/Garland which means somewhere offscreen in this moment, we don't even get to see it, Ultimecia is holding off Onion Knight, Bartz, Zidane AND Vaan all at once. What a queen
Cecil switching from Paladin to Dark Knight and Paladin again is a treat And holy mother of Chocobos this is EPIC, especially when they fought at first and teamed up when Shinryu pulled up
also one of his variant skins in this is an armour set in the labyrinth of the ancients raid in FF14 (a bit more red involved, horns are forward, not up), plus the collector's edition of A Realm Reborn (I think) gets you the helmet, completing the set. that's one of my Glamour (cosmetic) plates
This cutscene is sole proof that final fantasy in it's true essence are it's characters and world building, Every shot means much more than you know, And if you know, you appreciate it a lot. despite the game itself not being the greatest. It gave us probably the biggest love letter this game could have for all fans.
Everyone talking about teamwork and all...an no one talks about that absolute man that is Golbez in 3:36 that gets ready to trow half a mountain on Squall, stops Bart's spear like nothing not even looking and keeps up the attack with a single hand.
The match-ups when they go all glow-y: Lightning v Sephiroth Cloud v Jecht Cloud of Darkness v Terra and Shantotto Golbez v Squall Cecil v Kuja Exdeath v Noctis Y'shtola v The Emperor Garland v Warrior of Light
I did just this to see it for myself, it was pretty cool. But did you see that, during the Noctis v Exdeath one, you can see a human face beneath Exdeath's mask!? Up until now, I thought only that he was a darkness-filled armor of sorts!!
Like how all the Heroes constantly have to team up just to gain any advantage on the Villains. Then we have WoL and Garland throwing hands 1v1 the entire fight outside the start.
I know I'm a year late, but yeah, I agree. I think it's subtly showing that the villains really are more powerful than the heroes. I mean, they all possess the power to end the world in an instant.
When I first saw this ending, I literally cried. Tears of nostalgia, i guess. I'm a die-hard fan of this sh#t since the very early 90s. WoL, Garland, Firion, Emperor Mateus, Cecil, Golbez, Bartz, Exdeath, Terra, Kefka, Zidane, Kuja... every single one in that kind of quality! It activates your imagination. Squall pointing the gunblade in Jecht’s face and pulling the trigger, and the Jecht lunging out of the smoke and launching Squall through a rock. Some of the coolest shit I’ve seen in a long time.
Tidus kicking Vaan's Pyroclasm like a Blitzball is what I live for 🥰

I hate how Terra is ALWAYS portrayed as the weak one in the trailers and protected by their allies. Whoever played FF6 knows she went from the "shy brainwashed girl" to "Ill kill that fking psycho clown to save the world" (and actually did it)!!!
Adrián she’s just acting and letting her allies feel more significant. If she went all Esper it’d damage morale ;-)
Terra was nuts
Well she was fighting against Ultimecia and also ambushed by Cloud of Darkness, I guess when the 2 most powerful female villains join forces is because they know they are fighting against someone who is not precisely weak 🤔
in OG Dissidia she was battling Ultimecia and got ambushed by Mateus, and blocked/reflected from on Ultimeticia's attack on to Garland, on average its taking two bosses just too handle her
she's acting timid and shy per usual, but she's usually kiteing up at least 2 of the most powerful FF bosses by herself
Welp she was in the middle of the whole Laser beam against Shinryu, thats a little highlight of how powerful she is.

Nah fam Shantotto is the most powerful magic user in the lot

Everyone else: Seymour should had been in, not Jetch.
Me: What? And miss Jetch protecting his son and Tidus helping him stand after? No thanks.
We already had too much of Seymour in ffx
Jecht > Seymour. End of discussion.
Actually forget that first bit: Miss all the father-son interactions they had in this game? Never
I was actually just thinking about this the other day while playing FFX, haha.
He then attacks the al bhed home to silence the al bhed who he himself employed under the guise of "theres another way to kill sin and save the summoners."
Jecht was a personal battle for Tidus, not for FFX or the villains of FFX.
Tidus performing the Jecht shot with the Brotherhood just feels right.
This probably the greatest cinematic scene in any game series.
Seeing jecht protecting tidus from the dragon blast is heart warming. Tbh jecht isn't really a bad guy. At the end of final fantasy 10 I'm pretty sure he did all the things he did was to protect tidus
Yea. They only put him because Seymour doesn’t have much connection to tidus
