Since the time this video went up on youtube bios has changed. I just finished a x670e taichi carrara build Aug. 2023. The upper right corner has a box that when selected puts you in the easy mode.
Thanks for the comment on the NEO (Expo) vs XMP. I had ordered the XMP for the build I'm doing in the next couple days. I got it set for return and ordered the EXPO version.
Just set up my PC with this motherboard. Anytime I have the USB with windows installed it will not give a display yet if I boot with the USB out it goes right into BIOS. Any advice?
@@danielhearse7709 Yes, I reached out to AsRock and they told me to download the latest drivers from their site to a thumb drive and update the motherboard. After I did this the windows installer was able to start.
for anyone who buys this and has issues updating the BIOS (I ran into this on my new setup) - if you use USB *you MUST format the USB as FAT32, you cannot use exFAT* - also be aware you cannot format a USB drive that is BIGGER than 32GB (FAT32 limitation), so no 64, 128 GB sticks. you have to format the 32 or smaller GB stick in a Windows CMD prompt since the OS context menu will only give you exFAT. for example if your stick is drive X: on your PC you would run this with no quotes - "format X: /FS:FAT32 /Q"
Whenever I turn on EXPO my pc turns off Idk what is happening I have gskill flare 5 16gb x2 (32gb) gen 5 6000 with asrock b650e pg riptide the ram stays at 4800 and not 6000. I have a ryzen 7800x3d 1070ti and a thermaltake 850wattt psu wtf is happening
there's no boot overide option in my bios, even though it sees the SSD in Storage Configuration, how can I fix this, do I just plug a flash drive with the OS on it
I have this exact motherboard and am exclusively running Linux UBUNTU on it - do I need to install MSi drivers on it to get the bios setup? I can see the bios just fine right now without having installed Windows but I'm just trying to make sure I'm not missing something important. Thanks !! ^_^
Hi mate, I’m on the 1.11. AS03 beta and I’m getting system instability such as random reboots and crashes in video editing with most software not even wanting to launch. I put the 1.11. AS06 beta bios on a flash drive and the Flash utility isn’t even picking it up? I tried formatting the USB to eXFAT32 multiple times but it won’t pick it up. It was running fine a few days ago but today it kept just restarting every time I tried to run a game or edit a video. I’m at a loss on what to do next because the system is just to unstable. There is just no help online for these boards at all so I'm reaching out in the hope you can help me. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
I'm no expert but there's a "Clear CMOS" header on the motherboard (or even a switch, depending on which one you have). That should reset your BIOS to the default one. Also did you try hitting the BIOS switch on the back, when trying to flash?
@@reptilespantoso I managed to fix it, I used another USB stick and it picked up the bios and allowed me to flash. Bit of a headache but not as bad as the issues I had with Windows 11 and 7000 series support being a bit iffy. I had to roll back and do a complete wipe then reinstall of Windows 10, now most of the issues have been resolved. My advice if you're running 7000 series stay on Windows 10..
@@JoeyRKDP Oh yea I know that mate, it just wasn't picking it up because the USB stick was a bit iffy which is weid because it was the same one I used for all of my systems.

Hey! I hope you can help me out. I have an asrock b650 pg lightning and a ryzen 5 7600x. But I have 35 second bios times… i updated my bios but this did not work to lower the bios time. Doe you maybe know how to lower the bios time ?
Because ASRock offers 24+2+1 VRM phases, thermal baseplate, 4x M.2 heatsinks, and other goodies on this motherboard, that only costs €500. Asus charges customers a lot more money for a motherboard of this caliber!
This is why I refuse to buy AsRock. There is clearly a break between teams. And honestly I like having a great deal of configuration, but the layout in their bios are awful. Of course MSI looks like a 12 year old went nuts with graphics and forgot usability cuz they wanna. Last time I checked kids don't buy motherboards. So why design for them. Nuts.
Tbh the ASRock bios sometimes look like it's outdated, buy they added easy mode which is nice and tbh you don't go to bios everyday do does that really matter? You can get used to ASRock uefi. It's just their software when you are on Windows is kinda meh, but again not really matter.
I dont agree, its very functional and well structured. If i look at gigabyte i get the itch. Msi looks good but it isnt well organized. Asus is the best and asrock tries to copy asus which works good.

Super helpful for my new rig. Hitting Delete to get into the bios was worth it by itself. That doesn't show up on the boot screen.
As a beginner to Asrock, thank you so much. Very underrated video.

Very helpful. Thanks for this. They added an Easy mode finally.
BTW, AsRock finally incorporated an "Easy Mode" on the AMD platform :)
Thank you so much for this video. It really helps me out. Love it❤

*It Is Urgently Necessary To Install Windows 7 On This Motherboard, Is It Possible Somehow?*
Will this be similar to the B650E Taichi Lite ?
Thanks for the review!!! First Asrock board and I needed the boost
I love ASRock i have the B650E Taichi with a 7800x3d.
then why dont you marry them
The motherboard does have an "Easy Mode" now.

What means DRAM PERFORMANCE MODE, and which setting to use when ?
More or less the same for a B650E-E? I have no need for a B670 board but can't find any videos on the bios for a B650 board.

Is 16gb big enough for downloading windows installer and all the drivers needed?
I have 64gb usb how do I flash bios?
I set the XMP to 6000, and it keeps running on the basic 4800 ;/ What am i doing wrong i wonder?
Normally, if you save the bios setting (F10) and go back into the bios, you will see it has update. Let me know if that is true on your board.
