I had around 700 hours back in 2015/2016. This game is a true time sink. I don't have that kind of free time anymore, but I definitely want to see a conclusion to the story.

Edit: For the record, I'm talking specifically about Xenoblade. Yes, I am aware of Gears and Saga but I'm talking about Monolith's output since being acquired by Nintendo.
When you put it like that, it must feel validating knowing that the game franchise that you like is steadily getting more popular. The only other franchise off the top of my head that's experienced this gradual rise in popularity is Persona as both franchises greatly benefitted from modern releases.
Especially THAT moment at the end also why do I get the feeling that character at the end is the player themselves and we will be working alongside lao in the future

For what the producer of the franchise said once about how massive the game was, that it was very hard to port to the Switch, I thought that it was stuck forever in the Wii U, or it was coming to the successor of the Switch at least. I am SO GLAD that it finally came to the Switch. Now, we can officially say that the Nintendo Switch has EVERY SINGLE Xenoblade Chronicles game.
If I remember right it was more that the Xenoblade series would have to hit a certain amount of success to make the difficulty of the port worth it. And then XC3 came out.
Xenosaga next? So we have every Xeno games owned by Monolithsof. (Except Xenogears because it was made before Monolithsoft was created, and belong to Square...)

@@T4751001 I doubt it'd be a XC4, as the XC trilogy has been about completely concluded. What I'd expect is a XCX2, as XCX ending basically tells us "hey look, there's more story". Unless they intend to do it here as bonus content for the definitive edition. Wait and see I guess x )

I got my Switch just for Xenoblade 2. Then I got games like Zelda BotW, TotK, Smash. Then they brought Xenoblade 1 remaster to the Switch. Then they released Xenoblade 3. Later Noire Goddess is being ported to Switch. Now Xenoblade X remaster. Nintendo just keeps making me happy that I got a second game system. (my main is PlayStation)

I'm so happy that they are bringing this over to Switch. Xenoblade 2 was my first Xenoblade I played, and I finally have a chance to play this one. Also, I went back and looked at when this game was first revealed for the Wii U when it was known as X. The reveal trailer after 11 years had 1.3 million views. This hasn't even been a full week and is already over 1 million. It's great to see that more people are interested in the Xenoblade series now!
As someone who has played countless hours on the Wii U version, what excites me the most is that we're finally getting a lot of people for the online missions!

Square Enix has also been bringing back old games, and likely will do so all the more given the abject failures of trash like FF16 and Visions of Mana.
@FieryAnubis That's fine, but a lot of people have been waiting for this remaster. Also, now all of Xenoblade is easily accessible on switch, so there's no real downside. Some core issues with the game might be fixed as well so maybe it's worth giving another shot.
Truly the best game I played back on the Wii U. I sank so many hours into exploration, level grinding and earning my Skell. This is a dream come true and I can't wait to return to Mira and enjoy this gem of a game all over again. Already I can hear the iconic Skell flying theme followed by the Noctilum daytime theme song and the Key We Lost from the announcement trailer all those years ago 😊

A lot of concepts in two an three are from X before it was cut due to time restraints etc for online an custom character so theirs tons of stuff they can pull from

Torna and Future Redeemed take place before 2 and 3 respectively, however they are very spoilery and heavy handed in regards to the main game, so I recommend playing 2 before Torna and 3 before Future Redeemed. TL;DR, just play in order of release, but note that X takes place outside of the timeline (unless X DE has extra content to clarify)
This game was one of the last heavy hitters on the Wii U. Glad to finally see it get some more attention... even if it's dropping so late in the Switch's life.

I got my Switch just for Xenoblade 2. Then I got games like Zelda BotW, TotK, Smash.
Then they brought Xenoblade 1 remaster to the Switch.
Then they released Xenoblade 3.
Later Noire Goddess is being ported to Switch.
Now Xenoblade X remaster.
Nintendo just keeps making me happy that I got a second game system. (my main is PlayStation)

This is massive!!! This was easily one of the best games on the Wii U, and it's criminally underrated. The ost is amazing, and I'm happy we can play online again.

My Wii U is still plugged in with this disk inside. It's the only reason I kept the system after the Switch launched.

I'm so happy that they are bringing this over to Switch. Xenoblade 2 was my first Xenoblade I played, and I finally have a chance to play this one. Also, I went back and looked at when this game was first revealed for the Wii U when it was known as X. The reveal trailer after 11 years had 1.3 million views. This hasn't even been a full week and is already over 1 million. It's great to see that more people are interested in the Xenoblade series now!
As someone who has played countless hours on the Wii U version, what excites me the most is that we're finally getting a lot of people for the online missions!

Xenosaga actually has a chance of happening since Bamco has shown with Baten Kaitos to be able to play nice with Monolith Soft again. Xenogears OTOH.....keep dreaming, lol
Square Enix has also been bringing back old games, and likely will do so all the more given the abject failures of trash like FF16 and Visions of Mana.

@FieryAnubis That's fine, but a lot of people have been waiting for this remaster. Also, now all of Xenoblade is easily accessible on switch, so there's no real downside. Some core issues with the game might be fixed as well so maybe it's worth giving another shot.

Truly the best game I played back on the Wii U. I sank so many hours into exploration, level grinding and earning my Skell. This is a dream come true and I can't wait to return to Mira and enjoy this gem of a game all over again. Already I can hear the iconic Skell flying theme followed by the Noctilum daytime theme song and the Key We Lost from the announcement trailer all those years ago 😊
The music is truly amazing.... Just have to have an open mind.

A lot of concepts in two an three are from X before it was cut due to time restraints etc for online an custom character so theirs tons of stuff they can pull from

@@nathanieladams7624 1/2 take place technically at the same time, you'll see. 2's DLC is before 2, 3's DLC is before 3. X isn't connected in like anyway.
@@nathanieladams7624 they are already in chronological order; X is in its own universe - unless of course they decide to fit it in with DE.
Torna and Future Redeemed take place before 2 and 3 respectively, however they are very spoilery and heavy handed in regards to the main game, so I recommend playing 2 before Torna and 3 before Future Redeemed.
TL;DR, just play in order of release, but note that X takes place outside of the timeline (unless X DE has extra content to clarify)

@@jagoag6247 It's pretty good. I liked the combat. The OST is honestly mind-blowing at times, side quests have some really funny writing, and the main story is pretty decent sci-fi.

This is my favorite game of all time. It's open world and exploration hasn't been toped yet by any game since 2015. Truly a unique game
