@@KleoYan hi Kleo, now thatX870 will be released soon, is it still worthwhile to get this X670E Steel Legend? Would a BIOS update make the DIMM slots accept 48GB modules? Also, would the same BIOS update accept new Ryzen 9700X CPU?
Hi David Reyes, welcome to my channel. there are bios update on the X670E Steel Legend which support the latest 9000 series CPU, same apply to 24, 48 and 96G ram modules. www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X670E%20Steel%20Legend/index.asp#BIOS update to AGESA 1.2.0.2 (ver 3.08). If you want my honest opinion between getting X870E vs X670E, It greatly depends on, 1st if you have the budget, just go for X870E as I see more value there to support USB 4.0 devices (USB 4.0 docking or m.2 encloser). 2nd If you are on a budget and do not require USB 4.0 features, this X670E will be just fine, plus X670E does support future Gen 5 GPU as it does have a PCI-E Gen 5 slot.

Do you by chance know if the 7600x is a decent overclocker?
HI Elite Pauper, welcome back 😁, to be honest, undervolting is much better than to overclock. the AMD 7600X you are able to overclock but will need to increase voltage with PBO2, my opinion is to set the PPT, TDP and the EDC to default of the 7600X, set the curve optimizer to -15 to -20 (depends on stablity), next to do a vcore offset to negative 0.5v. Your 7600X will perform above default performance and the temperature will be lower too. This way you will prolong the life of your processor. It's a great review. Finally something new. In what way do you think ASRock X670E PG Lightning is interior to Steel Legend? What do you think of other brands of motherboards?
Hello Cywlexeem Tacac, welcome to my channel. Hmm I don’t think I mention that in my video. I don’t think the PG board is inferior. Just that this board has more m.2 and have a proper vram heatsink at the side. As for other board. To be honest I am use to ASRock as it’s able to fine tune the pbo2 settings the way I want it plus it’s not over powered. To run a 7950x, all is needed is to have good vrm heatsink and for the vrm cap chokes, you only need 60a each to run. You don’t need to have over 60a. That’s for overclocking purpose which I don’t do. I do mainly in undervolting.

Thinking slots 1 and 4 so qst on CPU, 2nd on 1st chipset, would this be best option? Any help appreciated and tia
Hi Jame Boat, welcome back, you are absolutely correct to place the OS Drive on the first slot (M.2_1) and I believe space is of an issue so putting your gaming 2TB m.2 at second slot (M.2_4) makes perfect sense. The only difference in having the game drive to the 2nd slot, the speed is slightly slower in milliseconds, you won't notice it. Unless you are very particular about it then have the OS and Gaming program on your 2TB m.2, plug it to the first slot (M.2_1) and have the 1TB m.2 as a storage drive to the 2nd slot (M.2_4). To me the 2nd option does not really make sense as it's wasting the 2TB for storage. The choice is yours. This is based on the achitecture of this board from the instruction manual download.asrock.com/Manual/X670E%20Steel%20Legend_English.pdf (Page 14 of 72)
Hello SMC Remix87, welcome to my channel, I normally do my own research and I will get either Seagate Firecuda 520 / 530 and Western Digital SN850 or SN850X. by the way you dont have to keep asking the same question over and over again in the comments here and others. it's annoying.
@@sunnycat69 hmm.. if it says able to mount a 360 liquid aio, most will be able to. so long it's of standard 27 to 28mm rad thickness and 25mm fan thickness you should not have an issue and with motherboard vrm thickness at 45mm. you should be able to. unless this H6 flow is very narrow in width
Hello sir i have a small doubt, When we insert am4 CPU to am4 socket like Ryzen 5 5600x to Msi mag x570 tomahawk, when we put the cpu into the socket by lifting the lever up and then closing the lever , will the pressure get lowered before reaching the the lock or the pressure would be same till the end ?
Hello YKR, welcome to my channel. This I am not sure how to answer you. For the first time when you unhook the level, it's to open up those hole pots. then place the CPU in. once you press it down, it will take a gentle bite of the CPU pins, next will be the retention being push down by the level. it will add a bit more torque to bite it firmly again in place but not to the extend of damging the pin. if you have not notices, if you continue to take in and out of the CPU, the bite will get weaker each time. That's what my personal experience is.

Wow, phenomenal video. I have this board. And wonder if my Noctua NH-D15 SE AM4 CPU air cooler will mount properly. And if it will be good to cool a 7950X CPU. I hope it does. Cause I already have this motherboard with 64GB DDR5 RAM G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo CL32 6000 AMD EXPO. I'm just waiting on the 7950X to be delivered. And I'm a bit nervous if everything will match right. Once I start rebuilding my current PC. I'll be upgrading from a 1st Gen Ryzen 1700 with an RTX 3070 already in my current PC. Hopefully, the 7950X will finally let the RTX 3070 work at 100% in games. Any advice is welcome, thanks 😊
Hello GielderstGaming, welcome to my channel. as mentioned in this video the height at the rear I/O from the motherboard is 43mm tall. and base on Noctua NH-D15 SE., your ram clearnace is at 32mm and the rear if there are no third fan mounted, The rear is not the issue. measure your ram height. if it's above 32mm. you might have issues. btw you can scroll down at this page where it gives you the clearance measurement of your Noctua Cooler. noctua.at/en/nh-d15-se-am4/specification
@Kleo Yan I think the RAM clearance should be alright as well under the cooler. I hope the system will work once I rebuild it. I'm glad that I only had to buy the motherboard, RAM and CPU, and nothing else. Thanks to the fact I already have a Case, RTX 3070, 1250W PSU, 2x M.2 NVMe SSD's, and 1x HDD and the NH-D15 cooler. I'm also hoping I won't have buyers regrets for hopping on to the 7950X from a Ryzen 1700 lol.
@Kleo Yan Well actually not exactly. I've gathered some savings the past few months. And right now is the time for me to upgradebi think. Because I'll start paying off a mortgage for my home soon. And I just thought to myself that now is the time. Cause right now I had the savings to afford these 3 components. And yes I know I've overpayed. But atleast I've done it once at a moment where I've had the ability. I might not have the same opportunity in the future. And that's why. I did it now. And I actually got lucky cause I ordered the 7950X discounted to 550 USD
Thinking of buying this board and have used ASUS for quite some time and wow this interface is ugly compared to ASUS lol. But if it's functional who cares. Where was XPO here? I did not see it.
I am getting ready to pick up this board and you by far had given me much more information about this than any other reviewer I have seen. Thank you very much for your time on this and the info. Well done!

Hi Faisal Zammam, welcome to my channel. Yes you can, so long your sound card is PCI-E. It’s backwards compatible too but why don’t use onboard. Plugin sound cards tend to cause static noise. I myself encounter that and I started to use onboard or to use audio interface on newer gen boards.

Hi nothx, welcome to my channel, do pardon me to reply you this late. the blazing fast means it's PCI-E gen 5 ready which is cater for Gen 5 m.2 nvme. as why it stated that it's "Priority", this is the m.2 slot that you should plug your OS drive is. be it if your m.2 nvme is of Gen 4 or Gen 5. this will allow faster boot timing.
