Keep the channel in this figuring-it-out phase for its entire life, please. The unpolished nature of it makes it relatable and motivating. Knowing the polish of a typical workout video is making it look easier than it is will make the video seem inauthentic or like its trying to convince people of something.

for anyone reading this-if you're struggling to stick to a consistent exercise routine, find the sport/physical activity that you really vibe with and have the motivation to do! I like when you ramble in videos to be honest. It feels more relatable that way. I myself can't seem to keep track of what I'm talking about and am often scatter brained and I feel so self-conscious about it.

I also recommend taking an afternoon to hike/explore some local trails. Bring plenty of snacks & hydration and spend a few hours seeing things you normally miss~

honestly my best advice for workout motivation when depressed / anxious is - you might not feel „good“ after, because you‘re depressed, but you might feel nothing, and sometimes that‘s good enough. or at least better than obsessive overthinking.

Core exercises are important to preventing low back pain, and crunches in particular I i found out I was doing wrong -- I was focusing on the upper part of the abs too much but the oblique and lower core, like almost to the top of the groin area, are what needs to engage to stabilize my core to relieve my lumbar pain. I learned this from a physical therapist who put a pressure gauge under my lower back and made me engage those muscles to keep it at 40 torr for 30-second sets. I realized I'd been doing "core exercises" without ever engaging those muscles before.

@cloudbrooksmain not really, tbh. Refusal can be for good or bad reasons. It's still refusal though. As someone dealing with depression, me not exercising for months during a down period is refusal on my part, even though the mental exhaustion is a good reason many people don't exercise. After all, most adults are working a job which already demands most of their time and leaves a lot of us exhausted.

The reasons I love these videos so much is because there’s something so satisfying about a RUclipsr mentioning all the fucked up shit in the world while doing everyday things. Because thats how I feel, I do everyday things, and while I do them I’m constantly remembering that thousands and millions of people are dead and dying. Children under rubble. A nonbinary kid was just murdered in an Oklahoma high school and it wasn’t reported on until yesterday. Cobalt mines poising the whole of Congo. The trans genocide in America. And I watch people NOT talking about any of it, and it makes me think i’m crazy. So creators like this are a breath of relief. Because it reminds me I’m not fucking crazy, I’m angry AND SHOULD BE ANGRY.

I do really enjoy your cleaning videos. They are relatable. I've been using a cleaning journal to help give me a sort of schedule until I can get in with the job I want. It's a great thing, so it is kind of nice to see content that reflects the kind of stuff I am working on in my home.
But bro... If you hadn't mentioned the ASMR stuff about you doing exercise noises, I would have never noticed...But now I cannot unhear it...Not that I am complaining, but this is on you.

i literally JUST decided to do more cardio and began my attempt at day one of a “couch to 5k” program today… I could only finish half of it and it was really demoralizing. Seeing you push through and reading all the comments here for people who are in a similar place is super reassuring to me though!

Honestly, Ive found that anything more than elbows past your hips (before touching quads) and my hip flexor starts taking over. Glad to see this content. I very much agree with you, I find that exercise helps my overall mental health, both in the moment and overall. Thank you for being a positive figure!

Enjoy your metabolism while you are in your 20s, Noah. You still have a young man's body that is still in great shape, believe it or not. You come from an athletic background, so I think you will do well when you are in your 30s and beyond. I'm in my early 40s, and I'm glad that I've had the ability to stay in a healthy weight range this whole time. With empathy, I know for other folks there are more complicated medical reasons and genetics that makes it difficult for them to feel comfortable in their bodies, but that doesn't make them any less of an amazing person. Much love and compassion to anyone who reads my comment.

Started working out after my sciatica mostly went away in hopes of helping with my existing back problem (by strengthen the core and other muscles to help with posture and balance). This became a way to procrastinate without feeling guilty about it.
