I also have the spicy hateful brain. quitting twitter really helped. It's a bad place. It's not worth your time. It's meant to generate animosity and negativity so people will engage with it more and generate ad revenue. It's where people go to turn their hearts into sick little black holes.

I've really noticed how twitter is that for most people but not for me. Maybe slightly, but I feel a much greater sense of community with twitter and see all ranges of extreme opinions but that means that for me at least I can see both sides a bit more? Many times people are just really rediculous though. If people were commenting on me or my stuff though I can definitely see how it would affect me

huge agree, i haven’t felt a sense of community online as a whole for a very long time.
i feel like it may have something to do with the transition from having specific online forums to having massive social media platforms like twitter and insta. once upon a time there was little to no overlap between online communities; people found their niche and rarely strayed away from it. now that a majority of the internet overlaps in some way, it leads to regular conflict between groups of people who otherwise have literally zero reason to interact with each other online.

I'm disabled and can't work, but most of the time I feel okay or a little good about how far I've come and who I am.
It's all about perspective. Where you started and where you are, and what you really want to be doing vs. what you're doing now. I hope that over time you learn to value your life and all the energy and time you've put into becoming who you are today. It takes time and a lot of external support to feel valid and valuable, and learn to be content with yourself, and that's okay.
I started by just reminding myself that I would learn to be kinder to myself in time. And I kept coming back to that thought whenever I could, it eventually worked. Everyone's journey is different though.
      Good luck out there!

I think that a lot of creative people are struggling with self-doubt and imposter syndrome at the moment. Gonna sound very cringe for a second but it deadass is The Society(tm) we're in ya know? The rise and grind mindset is an infection that poisons you and makes you create an inner world where you give yourself unrealistic expectations (which then makes it harder to recognize your own achievements). Social media is the same way.
Your creativity and perspective are valuable! And you shouldn't have to feel gross and self-congratulatory when you acknowledge your own wins. I really struggle with negative self talk and I noticed you do it in your video here! Hey man, you wouldn't say that kind of thing to anyone else, why are you saying that to yourself? Its so hard to do and you don't gotta do it all the time- but just acknowledging and challenging that negative self talk is important.
(this is an extremely long comment but I feel really strongly about this.)
Remember to take breaks! Remember that it's ok to rest! Remember not to hold yourself to other peoples standards because they aren't you and you aren't them!
I don't want to sound like one of those parasocial guys - HOWEVER - I think you're good, and I think you're doing a good job and I bet a bunch of other people agree with me.

Woo I’m in the 5 AM club.
Good morning, everyone. Hearing aid users in North America are not allowed access to the software for their own hearing aids. This is due to proprietary interests of manufacturers and doctors. There’s absolutely no financial incentive for this to change.
Hearing aids currently don’t really work for most users, and up to 15% of them are broken straight out of the box.

    • @leithaolos
      @leithaolos 4 месяца назад +2

Do you mean the software to program them or just the personal one to adjust volume and modes? Hearing aid softwares aren't user friendly and it's important to make sure someone is wearing the correct prescription. If you aren't correctly trained you could end up doing a lot of damage! plus all the tools used are specially calibrated and tested frequently. Not to mention if you're having trouble with your heating aids it could be a physical health problem and you'd be non the wiser and carry on adjusting the software thinking it was the problem! It's not to gate keep there's a lot more knowledge that goes on behind things. In the UK you need a 3 year degree to be allowed and to be apart of a registry just like any other medical professionals like doctors or nurses! I hope that helps clear things

    • @thebrianchannel9890
      @thebrianchannel9890 4 месяца назад +9

@@leithaolos I stopped at “it’s important you wear the correct prescription.”
I’ve been wearing hearing aids for 30 years. There is no way you know more about this than me. Do not tell me you are protecting me from myself and that I can’t do what Kanye does.
I could get the software on my computer and we could have universal hardware they could be interchanged and worked on by the user . There is no excuse.
I am betting dollars to donuts you don’t wear hearing aids, but if you do you have Stockholm syndrome .

It's incredibly difficult for you when your mobility aids don't help like they should. It's not something that anyone should have to struggle through and I'm sorry that you've had to battle with it.
I wasn't trying to start a discourse you absolutely know yourself better then any medical professional I was just trying to be helpful! shedding light that it's not a simple thing of accessing the program and pressing some buttons there's a lot to know with them.
Whilst I know it seems like having access to the program is the magic wand, it isn't the answer you think it is. The problem is the provider not working with you.
I hope you are able to find an audiologist who listens to you and works along side so you don't have needless suffering no one should be going through that.
take care and have a good day

A very minor plot point in this vid but pistol squats are super difficult and require a lot of joint mobility on top of balance and strength. I think if you’ve never done one before, most variations to get there start you with elevating the standing leg so that you can get that hip mobility gradually. I’d try looking those up and starting there! There are probably variations or supplemental exercises that can help build up stability and mobility in your knees as well

Action is the antidote to despair, try and get involved in real organizing and/or platforming those who do organize especially in the labor movement. Your proximity to those doing the work will probably help you develop a more optimistic outlook. You would be so inspired from talking to a Starbucks Union organizer, or Amazon Union organizer, people who have been overcoming the odds that are stacked against them.

Also, I kind of missed out on being athletic as a teen because I wanted to be AlTeRnAtIvE or something- it took me years and a couple of personal trainers to start to really like excersizing. I'm still not very consistent even though I enjoy it and know it's good for me. It's nice to see someone do it regularly and it both not seem like a chore and also not be a bit more casual aka "relatable" than basically every fitness youtuber I watch.

Hi, here's some more unsolicited training advice.
Training the core is the most important part of your body to train, imo, for 1 simple reason: You're young now, so maybe you don't have back pain yet. But you're gonna get it. It's one of the (if not THE) most common debilitating injuries/weak spots as you age. And maintaining a strong core is the easiest and best way to keep a healthy back. Planks and side-planks suck for a few weeks, but they get easy fast, and then maintaining that strength is cake, and sufficient for a healthy back.
(For what it's worth, the other really common injury as you age are your knees. Which is why doing exercises like deeeeep lunges and squats with full-knee mobility is so good, as I mentioned in your curling-the-propane-tank video: training the FULL FLEXION knee mobility keeps those tendons loose and strong... Never train through the pain, but consistently push into "slight discomfort," and your mobility will increase pretty quickly. And it unlocks the pistol squat as a bonus.)

I love this!! To The self doubt part, I had that kinda taking over who I was for a period of my life. One time I went to a friends house, and he looked me square in the face & was like “dude who cares what others think, if you think you’re on the right track, keep going regardless of what others think” & I haven’t turned back since & it’s completely rid me of that issue somehow. In a world where it seems the vast majority could be “better” or judgemental, none of it even matters by day end. What matters is whats important to you.

You just zoning into your own intrusive daydreams around the 20 min mark genuinely made me laugh aloud. Think that was the first time I've laughed properly at a YT vid for ages. Keep up the good work of being yourself dude.

Noah planks are better for functional core strength than crunches, you’re doing great 👍 and don’t forget that if you’re activating your core while doing push-ups (which it looks like you are) then you are also getting a core workout the entire time you’re doing that exercise. The same is true for any exercise that requires your core. just focus on good activation during all workouts and isolation exercises become less necessary. They’re still helpful, but not as necessary as workouts targeting the arms/legs

Got promoted to a salaried office position so I needed nicer clothes. Got stressed buying clothes because I had to size up since I put on weight.
I've gotten past a lot of the negative self-talk. I'm not mad cause I'm getting fat. I'm mad that I have less and less time for stuff and this is progress? I need the money from the job but I hate working after work.
I mean, I'm procrastinating on rolling a character for a 5e campaign ffs. I'm just like, roll whatever and die the first encounter so I can go to sleep.
Anyway, really relating to this content. Did some pushups and squats with it. Keep at it Noah.

Pistol squats are really tricky. To build up the strength do the pistol squat but use a chair or stool to help you(try to use it as an aid and less like a seat to settle your weight onto). Gradually you can lower the height of the chair and eventually you’ll be able to pistol squat :) happy squatting! hope you get that dumpy

For pistol squats and most leg work, activate your core and really engage your hip flexors. You'll know if you're doing it right, because you'll be able to go much lower and hold the position for a full rep

Noah! You're great! You're so handsome too ! And this is how you do it: you mix mayo in with the tuna yes but then you add back in some sesame oil and maybe hard boiled egg and any veggies like bell pepper or onion.

Core workouts are important because your entire body will be stronger if your core is stronger. You'll have better balance. A stronger core will help you do those one-legged squats you were trying to do.

I really didn't understand how to "engage your core" until I started to go to PT. He had me kind of jam my fingers into my lower abdomen, like in front of the iliac crest of the hip, and engage the muscles there. It has changed my life to know where these muscles are and how it feels to truly utilize them to stabilize my hips and spine.
I see so many people walking around with the kind of gait I used to have, and just want to show them all how to do this!
