A great review with terrific videography as well., the shots of the dial are well done. I pulled the trigger on the 41.5 blue version over a week ago. I was actually looking for a different piece that was not in stock and got talking to the sales person. When I saw this watch in the flesh the sale was made. One correction though, the watch is regulated to run within COSC standard -4 to +6 Oris quotes -3 to +5 for this watch, video states +-5 at 9:39. Of course it does not carry a COSC certificate as that would add extra cost. From my week on the wrist mine is running to Oris spec. I agree the clasp would be better if it had on the fly micro adjustment but at this price it's more than OK, as it has the 3 position micro adjustment helps of course. At this price a 10 year service as well as a 10 year warranty it's very hard to beat.
This Oris is class just got it, amazing. Listen i had a Yatchmaster everose and a two tone sub i sell them both, I couldn't walk with it afraid of scratching it, been a victim, others upset when they realize you ware a Rolex so on. Move to Breitling my favorite brand now and this aquis my second Oris. Men what a watch!! solid balance shine but not to shiny humble dont bother others eyes but everybody wondering class daily sporty dress i mean if need to choose only have one watch this Oris is the whole package, i wont buy again too famous brand, with the price of one you get few others . 10 year warranty?? Kmon this is a no brainet Oh another thing ... be ready for the wow factor, few watches hit me as hard as this one on the wow factor 10/10
You didn’t need to move the minute hand back and fourth so many times- like a combination lock, say you want to set it at 3 and turning the hands clockwise, just go past 3 to say 3:02 and back to 3. That’s all you need to do.
This green dial looks amazing , I'm waiting till I can try one on untill I pull the trigger. This would replace my Hydroconquest so would be good to see a comparison as well !
To add to my comments. I find the bezel action on the many Aquis waatches ive owned as good, clicky and tight as anything ive ever seen. Yes the Rolex and IWC are smoother and more quiet but tensions are simular. Better than omega seammster for me. The only action ive felt that i can say is better, is the Blancpain Fifty fathoms. But the difference is not substantial.
I've always liked the aquis, great original look to it. If I was to add one to my collection I think I would save some money and get the selita as with a large rotation the 5 day power reserve is not that important to me.
I’m with you on this. Especially cause the only upgrade is the movement. Other than that, everything appears to be 100% the same from the selita to in house version. What he said is true too, no one does sun burst quite like Oris
Does someone know if there is actually a green dial oris at 43.5mm calibre 400? On their website they have only 41.5mm. Although I could find only in 1 online store having 43.5mm with green dial on mr porter, while they even confirmed its 43.5. Authorised dealers all said oris does not produce the watch in green at 43.5 so dont even know... Thanks a lot
@@TimeAndCrown yes, it seems so. I took the green one yesterday, but blue at 43.5 also looks very good. But anyway, green color looks more appealing, at least to me :)
It appears the hand tends to jump when you pull the crown out to hack. Is that right? If so, that is definitely a flawed design because it messes up the time if you just want to hack a fast running watch to synchronize the time after a few weeks of wear. The workaround (simple counterclockwise setting) when first setting the time is fine, but is there a workaround to have it not jump when you hack it?
Nice review, as usual. I've never owned an Oris. The 10 year warranty sounds wonderful as I never flip watches. But would I need to return to Switzerland for covered repairs, and be without the watch for weeks?
Love it, got the 43.5 sw200 Aquis. Will get the Railmaster soon, but notice its much cheaper without the bracelet (used) - I've never had a butterfly clasp before and obviously don't want to pay the premium for a bracelet if I can't get a good fit - is the lack of microadjust a problem, or am I overthinking it? Would it make a good solid GADA piece? Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
1 important question bro...I'm looking for a Aquis with green dial, but i don't understand if the green of 39,5 mm is the same of your 41,5mm, for my wriste the 39,5 mm is perfect, but looking a lot videos i think that of green dial of 41 mm version is more "soleil" with a color more luminose, so i don't know where see for this information...is just my impression or you confirm me this differents?
Hi. They are the same except for the size and the movement. Oris basically produce the same watch but in different sizes and now with two choices of movement.
As a personal collector, I've owned 4 Rolexes, ulysse Nardin, Omega seamaster, longines, still own 2 x IWC Aquatimers and the k8ng of my collection, the fifty fathoms 5015. All said, I have had many and still have am Aquis , 2 Oris Titans. Let me tell you that nothing has the Over All case deaign of an Oris Aquis and Titan family. Sits amazingly flat on the wrist. The lugs curve to hug the wrist better than any other and the bracelet looks and flows better off the case than anything out their. To add , the Oris rubber strap options are the best in the world. No one does aesthetics better in a divers watch. Period.
@@TimeAndCrown thank you. I have an older one (2020, 43.5mm) but the dial only looks green in certain light. A bit disappointing. Maybe I should upgrade
When you did it that time you said "it stopped jumping" is because you moved it back. You don't need to do a few times back and forth. Just overshot your time winding forward by a few minutes, then wind back to your exactly time No back fourth back fourth required
If you ask nicely, you'll get it well under 3,000. Can you tell me about all the other manufacturers that sell anti magnetic in house movements for 2500? You must know many?!
@@anthonyonline4740 I am not a watch expert, but I prefer a watch movement in a watch at any price, in house or not, not to be flawed. This is just my opinion about this specific watch and the movement in this watch.
@@TimeAndCrown That's the great thing about being a watch enthusiast - there are so many options to choose from, and we do not have to agree on everything. I watched your SOTC video and I really love your collection and would like to have those watches in my collection, but I just wouldn't buy this Oris.
And the minute hand jumping when crown is pushed in would be unbearable for me. Did you see Oris response to engineer wannabe? They made it seem like it was a feature instead of a design flaw. Really disappointed.
Ridiculous. What you said is so incorrect. They totally didn't make our sound like a feature. They just explained the situation, and tried to downplay it a little. They definatley didn't try to make it sound like a feature. You need to watch the video again.

Good review. The bracelet can be easily taken off and switched out with their rubber one with these models FYI by using their quick clasps at the lugs
I think the point of keeping the movement simple is not a stylistic choice but a cost saving one.
Wow you must be fun at parties...

Hi Thomas. The comparison video is on it’s way. I think the Aquis Cal. 400 is a nice upgrade from the Hydroconquest.

Wish there was a halfway house between the selita 200 and this new calibre.

Im definatly eyeing 2ndary market for the blue in this size.
Oris does an amazing blue!

I love that dial. Great photography too. But the quirk in the movement is a real shame. To me this is a bug.
Is the dial on this model a more brighter green than the older green Aquis?
Hi Nick. Yes, its more shiny because of the sunburst effect.

There are several ways to do the trick.
For that price it better come in a nice box lol
I was looking at the watch in green in pictures, but now looking a it in real time, I dont like the shade.
A black bezel works better, it ads contrast!
"Movement designed this way"... that's a flawed movement. For $3,500 that movement flaw is unacceptable.
I think I could live with it. The integrated bracelet is more of an issue for me.
