    I have the blue cal400 41.5mm.
I agree that the cal400 can be a faulty in terms of accuracy. Anecdotally, my piece gains 3-4 mins after a few days so it is zooming along! Already scheduled for servicing but it doesn't really bother me given the 10year warranty and it being a new-ish caliber. I'm sure the newer 400 series on the pointer dates are much more reliable.
What I would advise people to consider before buying is the oscillating weight on the movement. It doesn't charge anywhere near as efficient as your standard ETA since it is unidirectional and light. It does charge, but you won't get a full wind keeping it on if your day isn't active.
Also there are videos out there saying it doesn't wind up to 5 full days. It does, I got 5 1/2 out of it. Just don't baby the watch and don't be afraid to wind it up. that movement is pretty much indestructible.
Other than that the bracelet feels ridiculously soft with quality links, the bezel action is 10/10, and the blue fume looks like a million dollars. The polish is prone to scratches but I adore the wear and tear on both mine and other people's watches too! Shows a lot of love (as long as it ain't a dress watch!)
It is still worth more than retail imo for what you're getting. I'd just recommend getting later models if you want peace of mind regarding the earlier hiccups.
your channel is awesome, keep it up!

For the price difference I'd go for the ETA model myself as I've heard Oris are having problems with this movement especially the escapement , My granddad has the Kermit and I tell him to wind about 50 turns before wearing it ,
You can get a little over 5 days out the movement but normally at the cost of accuracy.
When we regulate a watch if it's a manual wind model we fully wind it and then back off the mainspring a little as a watch well run fast if there is to much tension in the spring

Thanks Barry. That's a quick release bracelet, using the lift up tabs underneath.

That's a fine watch Barry, I almost bought one a couple of years ago. In the end I went for the Tudor BB58, but it was close. Thanks for this Barry, you dun good mate 🙂👋🍻

The dial is just gorgeous on this one but I think you made the right choice Bob 👍🏻

This was my daily (not green but aquis) before catching tegimented 2:58 Sinn bug, and really love how comfortable the Oris bracelet/strap wears. Only prob was it caught a lot of scratches.

Thats the problem with polish bracelets and cases they do pick up many scratches on the why 👍🏻

210 turns I believe to fully wind the 400 movement, Oris do say not to over wind as it could kill it, strange really most automatics are find with winding as they have a decoupling mechanism so you cannot damage the watch.

Yeah exactly that does sound a bit strange of them to say that, as on a automatic you always add breaking grease to the inner wall of the main spring barrel, because other wise the auto rotor could over wind the watch

I have this exact model in same colour. Mine is version 2 of caliber 400 ("400-2"). I bought is as new. It was running -10 sec/day. I sent it for service and they repaired it and changed some part or parts. Now it is running +7 or + 8 sec / day. So the stated accuracy of this watch is not according to what Oris is saying. Just beware. It is a beautiful watch nevertheless and Oris customer service is great. I have my Aquis on my wrist at the moment :)

Always good to hear from guys who actually own the watch , being its running fast its worth trying to demagnetiser the watch takes seconds to do and may improve things

The Aquis could be a winner for me if it was available in a fully satin or even blasted finish. It's just too shiny for my 'Sinnefied' taste.

I cant set the date only with the wheel anymore, is it broke then? I can turn the time around to the date switch number.

Yes sounds like you have broken the date setting screw , You should never try and set the date or day between the hours of 10pm and 2 am as it can damage them .

That movement is known to be very unreliable unfortunately.
