I know it's an old video but real cool definitely real cool. I just started my 49 Chevy that's sitting on a S10 chassis. Front end is stripped down and I'm installing 9-in coilovers with tin soldiers a arms. By chance do you remember what rack and pinion you used? I can buy a rack and pinion out of a 4x4 blazer for under 200 used. I would think it would be pretty compatible since it's still an S10. I will be going tubular front end as well so watching this build is a great eye opener to me. I've already shortened my 8.8 rear end and I have coilovers coming for the back and I'll be running a four link system. Feel free to throw ideas at me if you have time. I want major squat in the back so I may even transfer radiator and put turbo in the bed. Not sure yet.
This is awesome, dude. Will be watching for the next installment. I haven't started building my S-10 yet, but you and two other guys, TPV Productions, and Eric Weingartner Racing are finessing their rides. Will share. Thanks.
I see you did some modification to the front crossmember to clearance the oil pan clean I maybe get some extra info I think I may have ruined mine on my 82 s10 trying to get it to clearance the oil pan.
You'll love an "affordable bender" best 400 bucks I ever spent and it's super compact. Bent my frame horns up when I was doing them like you did, I tossed a slight 45 into them and super love the look. Would have done what you did though had I not had it
Could you do some type of hinge below the radiator maybe to lift the front end by tilting it forward . That would look cool as shit n you could tilt it yourself without having to have an extra person every time you take it off. Anyway good looking work so far and that tig welding looks pretty good to me I've never tried tig weldingbit looks tedious. I'll mig for now that's enough to handle.
Hey, are you the guy I saw a few years ago in Car Craft, I think, running 8's, with a turboed stock bottom end 5.3 LS mill? This rig is sweet. Last I heard, you were gonna go to a 6.0, tryin' for 7's--if that WAS you, did you get there yet, or are these mods part of that 7's chase?
It's been awhile since I seen your build, and like always amazing job .The truck is looking really good . Can't wait too see how the front turns out. It's amazing how you can just look at something and no what and how you are going too do it. Your talent for vehicle and builds are absolutely awesome. You should open your own shop.

Hey man I’m building a twin turbo ls swapped s10 blazer and I don’t have enough room for the intercooler so looks like gonna go this route. Just wondering though what radiator are you using and if you remember the dimensions. Thanks and keep up the killer content! Subscribed!!
The radiator I’m using is a speedway motors universal 26” dual pass radiator www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Double-Pass-Aluminum-Radiator-Chevy,23864.html?sku=917340-26. I also have the shroud the match.
Is there anyway I can get a hold of you and talk to you on the phone because I have a few questions I’m building and 86S 10 and it’s much easier if I just talk to you on the phone

If I'm going that far, I'm going all the way back to the firewall at least!!!

We sell one at work but it’s on back order so I’m just waiting
Also like someone else posted, i saw billy with src channel got one of aluminum, good excuse to get a spool gun n give it a whirl!!. Keep grinding 💪
Just use the tig for when your build tube frame.. pain in the ass to get the torch into that position and keep yourself steady.
Love this content great job 👍.
Take a small bullpen hammer hit the papper with it up against the frame end then you have a perfect cut template.
Good job that's makes a lot of room

It’s actually light enough that I can lift it off by myself if I have too. Thanks for the feedback on my welds too
When you trimed the headlight buckets your should have lft your grill mounting holes?
I left the top one. I never used the lower ones for quick removal.
Looking good brotha!!
nice looking setup
Thanks!
Oh yeah! The extra work will be worth it in the long run.

Great work man!! What size of tube are you using for the out rights from the frame rails?
It’s 1.25”

What rack and pinion is that. I didn't know you had it in truck. Is there a salvage yard rack I can use?
Custome narrowed rack from TRZ performance. Nothing stock will work

Hey man how much did the factory rails you cut off weight??
Any idea how much weight you saved by cutting off those rails? Even a guess?
Between the rails and the rack and pinion it was probably 100lbs
good video! are you doing this more for weight reduction or room or both? i been wanting to get rid of some of my heavy core support also.
Doing it both both plus I like the look of less stuff up front.
This looks like fun. Im in.
Welcome to the shit show haha
WORD.... A lot of tube talk on this episode...
What city are you in? I'm building a s10 in casa grande az.
Nice I’m in Goodyear
@@RobbyVsGarage sweet man love the channel. Watch it all the time. Learning some stuff from ya.
hey man by any chance you have those measurements
What measurement are you talking about?
@@RobbyVsGarage the length of the tubes you cut. im at this step in my project debating to go your route instead the whole tube K member deal
I cut them long then trimmed them to what I needed so I don’t have a measurement unfortunately
