Mike, I'm not at all jealous but anybody in their right mind would see that you have obviously done things right, worked really smart and hard and your living the dream.
My passion in life was fine woodworking and I was fortunate enough to have worked in 17 countries for the world's financial elite and had a crew of 68 of the best finish carpenters I could ever ask for, there was nothing we couldn't do as a team !!
We did the finish carpentry on a 136 acre Georgian Colonial estate 1986-1989 in So. Calif. for a retired 3 star general that has the #4 Car collection in the world. We built a 22,000 sq ft museum then our client (I don't name drop) immediately had us add another 22,000 sq ft because he had more cars than space !
Keep up the great work, your amazing !!

You would have to have a NOTAM to get into your airport so many of us would be on your door step and never want to leave. Go for it, I would fly from anywhere and sleep under my plane if I simply got to hang our at your place for a day. It would be killer.

Please include them in this build. You and all the flying Cowboys have been such an inspiration for me. It's been 23 years since I last flew. I once read an article -I think in Flying- that a taildragger with castering mains can't ground loop. You could land and takeoff in a crab. The wheels shouldn't freely caster, but rather self-center with spring action. B-52s and several heavies actually do this. At taxi, the spring action keeps the wheels at 0° steer angle. At speed, in a heavy crosswind, the side load causes drift, so you naturally point the nose into the wind and track at a crab. Just 10° or 15° of travel is all you'd need.

In my living room I installed some beams so that I can lift and rotate my bowl of cereal in the morning. It really helped with my last cereal bowl build. I named it Cocoa Pebbles. I used the name from the actual box of cereal, but it's still an experimental build. As you walk into my living room and look to the left, you can see my unfinished bowl from yesterday. I was late for work and had to abandon that project. I already have plans for a new Lucky Charms build tomorrow morning. Let me know if you're interested in following that build. I am thankful for your inspiring videos and encouragement! Reminds me of a older schoolmates song.. Chris LaDoux “ This Old Cowboy Hat “
Blessed indeed! Wow! And here I am truly a dinosaur from Wyoming! And some Aviation history!
    H. C. “ Kit” Carson was a incredible time for me and Kit..how many kids get to meet accidentally one of their childhood heroes!
Lake Chelan... was home for awhile too.. and friends at Lake Aero... but my time at Jackson Hole Aviation was incredible!
CYS Sky Harbors changes when Jay sold out to Air Exchange/Sky Harbor.. I worked there until 1988 when I moved to Jackson Hole Aviation and prior the 88 Yellowstone fires.. oh my! Stories upon stories!
For us kids who came through Colorado Aero Tech CYS extension! From the old Cannon Aeronautical building! Seen 777 tests.. but to meet up with Boeing’s first Test Pilot!
I really enjoy History and People.. But y’all make my day! Yes I like it!! Building Cool Stuff always does not come easy!
Negative Ground Speed?? And gaining altitude?? Yes oftentimes I watched from the from the ground as it was gaining altitude fast!! But flying backwards!! Negative-30 -40groundspeed??
DeHavalland Twin Otter s operated by Rocky Mtn Airways was incredible to see how many flights were recorded safely!
All weather! But CYS is notorious indeed for breeeeeze speeed! Wyoming Windsock! It’s real!
Someone got a idea to..break it that highly accurate Wyoming Windsock a chunk of chain from the UPRR Cheyenne... something from a Big Boy Locomotive...? though.. it’s no longer as accurate as it was as when I grew up in at CYS.. and NOAA.. or a ramp rat kid in the 70’s!.. only welded to the post... Not Each link as some.. individual had done!
Fix it! A&P style or perhaps a Crew Chief oF one of my old Unit..153rd TAG WANG... us assistant Crew Chiefs can Still Get it UP! In The air!

Mike, I want to be just like you when I grow up. Everyone has their hero, as I have grown up and started to think about what I want to do with my life, I have found my new goal. Find problems and fix them to make a living, and spend that money building cool stuff to live my life to the fullest.

What a fantastic video, what a wonderful news, because I will be able to follow this new project, this new project, from end to end!
Well, not so long ago I joined you, it's been since Oshkosh 2018 through the Trent Palmer channel and since then I've been running to watch all your videos and update myself on this incredible plane that is Draco! I loved your presentation of your workshop, as I looked at all the curious about each video that I watched. Well, a big hug from here in Brazil and we are going to work!

Nice... thank you for the update. I've been involved in aviation for a long time as was my father, I think your enthusiasm and dedication to personal aviation is contagious and hope you (and others) can inspire younger people to continue the exploration and building of aircraft.

That hangar is a pilot's absolute dream. A place where you can sit in the leather lined lap of luxury, with a helluva view, and judge all the other pilots on their bad landings ;)
Seriously though, beautiful set up and kudos to your hard work and brain power. Looking forward to Scrappy, and we need a sideways video of that jeep.

I grew up in Liberia West Africa and used to go up in the MAF bush pilots Piper Cub at least twice a week. Watch a lot of bush pilot stuff on here, mainly Trent. But came across Draco.. Wow! Such an amazing aircraft! I’m now in my 50’s and never fulfilled my dream to learn to fly 😔. What I’d give for a 5 min flight in Draco! Oh well, life Is full of dreams...

You've done well in life Mike, it allows you to provide an experience for your family and friends that most will never have. It is very great of you to share that experience with us, and gotta say, as a jack of many trades and fanatic about anything fast, powerful, radical, would love to meet up and chat one day. Thanks again.

I’m a paperhanger and my dad already did this once for a sailor up in Maine.
Give me every single paper map of your airspace, give me every physical copy of every Notam that you used to get back in the day and we will wallpaper your whole visitor’s apartment and your conference room for your board of directors with real valid aviation maps.
