Private Airpark Hangar After Remodeling

- I purchased a home at Pegasus Airpark in Queen Creek, AZ in 2021. The hangar was in need of remodel and finishing.
Hangar is 65x50' with 22' side walls. Schweiss 62x20' bi-fold door.
Hangar initial construction cost - $400k
Project cost for the remodel - $200k
Earlier this year I set out to finish the hangar. It's mostly complete and this is what it ended up as.

Absolutely beautiful, amazing, fantastic. The garage door on the shop is an amazing idea… the belt driven reel drive opener makes for super quiet operation.
The floor finish is perfect and your point of the fleck making dropped parts is so true. Love that you have a shower in the shop.
The only thing I would have done is slider doors off the office.

i’ve got to say when I had an idea of a dream home for myself all those years ago as a child and looking at this space is literally the layout I wanted, just a big wow to my head, its a great layout having a second floor with the usable workspace as a first floor room. Amazing layout.

As others have stated, this is literally the dream. I'd love to have a similar configuration, let me know when you open the business that sells, designs, and construct Hangar Homes, because it would be wicked cool to see like 2 or 3 different designs that can be done and then it all gets designed and put together because I'd love something like this, literally this is the dream! ☺
Add a kitchen and a bedroom and you just constructed the house of my dreams. The patio is a must though for morning coffee to look at the mountains. Just FYI, I will be stealing most if not all of your ideas, designs, and decorations for my future dream house. Great job!!!

Really nice looking layout! One suggestion on future hanger area... avoid black epoxy floor, it will show dust & every footprint you make. One dust storm and you'll regret it. I would do the light grey epoxy you did in your enclosed shop with black and white "runway" lettering. Maybe add a nice black line where epoxy meets ground concrete. I design fire stations in Arizona and we do a lot of concrete and epoxy floors. The ground concrete is the best, and your floors look excellent. We try to stay away from dark flooring in general, even dark fitness rubber flooring. Congrats on the new space! You would never get me out of there, I'm jealous.

Wonderful transformation! I've been eagerly awaiting this video! The Hickam Field Airshow poster is really cool! I'm originally from Honolulu and got my pilot's license at the Honolulu International Airport which shares its runways with Hickam. It's very sentimental!
Man I swear this is my dream hanger! Currently renting a T hanger till I retire then want to move somewhere like this. We have the same taste in so much it’s scary! Besides flying, 3D printing, everything on wheels! So awesome! 👍🏻

Wow! I stumbled across this video…. pretty damn cool! I’m not a pilot, but a lifelong aviation enthusiast. I grew up in Southern California. Miss all the Airshows! We’ve lived in Kentucky since 1995. Considered Phoenix area. Would probably be there now if I had it to do all over again. I have noticed if you create an organized space and surround yourself with cool things that you love, it is very inspiring and motivational. You are living the dream friend! That’s the biggest hanger I’ve ever seen for a Cessna 170 or similar size plane.

The biggest hanger you've seen for a C170? Why would somebody want to hang a C170? Don't you think it would be easier to park it in a hangar?

I am officially impressed, very nice design. My old mentor used to emphasise that the shop area where You spend a lot of time should be as comfortable and pleasant as possible. I am an engineering entrepreneur as well, some good inspiration to steal from Your project for my own shop... I have most things on wheels as well except my lathe that needs to be levelled/bolted down. I did try to put the drill press on wheels but I deemed be to unstable. I am now using a steel frame with machine feet enabling moving it with a pallet jack, works well. One thing I really regret is that I did not close of a dirty room for grinding etc. Most things I do require a fairly clean environment. I just wish my property was at an airstrip...

Super Jealous! Beautiful hangar. We're located at KSNA and have no hangar space whatsoever. There's 25-30 Gulfstreams parked outside due to lack of hangar space.

Awesome Hangar! Envy of every pilot... 2 years no problem on the S-21 as long as you have engine and avionics on hand and ready when you get to those points.

Texas taildragger? Great plane,I had a 140 Cessna with 0-200 built by a NASCAR friend mine that worked in engine shop for big team it ran beautiful usdto jump in and go visit a lady friend lived in the boondocks, places I wouldn't take my Vtail to.
You definitely hit the lottery with the hanger, that's how I'd like mine setup but now I'm old got lazy I'm guessing you stay in the ClassC which is great, I love to trade places !!!

This shit is a dream! Love it! Personally I would’ve made that office a little smaller, extended the “upper deck”, maybe lost the catwalk for extra space, and then went with an extra bedroom for those long party nights… because let’s be honest: with those speakers, a full size fridge, a “moppable” floor: parties are going to happen😛😁😇…
However extremely well thought out workshop, wouldve build it the same. Love your lighting, the thought of running pressure hoses everywhere, just well thought out 👍
