Juan - David, my 17 year old son, passed his Private Pilot check ride the following week with flying colors. He will remember his first tail dragger flight with you in the Husky for the rest of his life. Now on to his instrument rating.
I’m retired Navy and spent many hours in Naval Aviation Maintenance. Positive Tool Control! We had an old Grumpy Petty Officer who would always say, boys, if we are missing a tool, we will all be here until 2500 until we find it, and by God that’s late!
Hi Juan. Thanks for coming to Byron and speaking at our annual AngelFlight West event. I owe so much to you and to the Patriot Jet Team for your assistance. I hope to see you next year. Robert Strawn Northern California Wing Leader (retired) AngelFlight West
Byron airport was my son’s favorite place to go potty around age 3-5. We’d be flying south using Byron to skirt the class bravo SFO and invariably we needed a stop. Flight following and all the other traffic got a kick out of it when the controllers would ask “Is everything okay 2139Y?”…
I have been an Angel Flight pilot for 19 years (Angel Flight Northeast). Great organization for pilots, in that so many pilots are just looking for a reason to fly their plane and on the other side there are some very appreciative folks who need a ride to get health care. And you get to fly to some interesting airports you normally wouldn't fly into. The only reason I have flown my GA piston plane into Boston Logan (or Caribou Maine) a dozen times is because of Angel Flight.
HI Juan. Great video! I was one of the original folks organizing the Jet Team & Foundation over 24 years ago. Moved east in 2019. I miss volunteers and students, so it is great to see the hanger and old friends again. Zippy...you did a super job on the tour! Very informative. Keep PJT and the Foundation flying!
Retired Navy as well. Story from commercial media. Late 70s / early 80s. Someone found a F-4 Wildcat in lake Huron. Missing from NAS Grosse Isle during WWII. Navy investigators found a wrench in the cables. Wrench was marked. Investigated. Mechanic still alive in Michigan. Knock, knock. No other news.
EAA Livermore Chapter 663 has the honor of working with the Patriots for Young Eagles a few times per year and we will be there this weekend, July 8, 2023. Randy is very generous and also held a Thank You BBQ for the Chapter in May. Thanks for sharing Jaun.
Awesome job Juan 👍🏻I did some volunteer work with them back in the early 2000's great to see that they have kept it going. I got a back seat ride with "Vlady" in one of the L39's. A memory that I'll never forget!
I watch a variety of content, on all subjects. Juan Brown, I’ve been following you since the Orville dam stuff and ever since I’ve been feeling more informed and educated on a variety subjects that you’ve covered. And seeing Kellen (spelling) grow up, become such a great young man and fly!!! Is especially amazing and brilliant. I love what you are doing mostly because the honesty in it all is so beautiful and refreshing in this crazy world we are living in.
Been through the warbirds hanger at Floyd Bennett Field many times and each time it’s like walking into the candy store for the first time. Thanks for the tour.
The Patriots had an open house in 2015 and it was a great experience to attend. Not sure how often they are open to the public, but well worth experiencing. Great tour Juan! 🛩️
I got a ride in N339DH, which apparently is now Patriots #3, for my 5th Wedding by its owner at the time in Lock Haven, PA. It was quite a ride, would love to do it again sometime.
Byron is kinda in the middle between San Jose and Stockton…I would have expected this to be on the outskirts of a large city. Very interesting and it sounds like a gem of a program.
Interesting to see the special planes for filming other planes in flight. I am glad to hear that they were using these planes with some CGI overlays instead of using real fighter jets.
How serendipitous! I just finished Maverick fifteen minutes ago, after a 37 year wait. I was not disappointed. Now I'm sitting here dropping a deuce, watching this awesome overview of a program that made a large portion of that film possible. Not even done and this is my best grunt of 2023. Thanks, Juan 🖒
@@sanfranciscobay I am aware of that. I have a friend that volunteers with the Patriots and took me on a tour of their hanger and the Byron airport. It is fascinating what they do. The free training program is assume. I wish I was in high school.
"Most airshows are super hot, in the middle of nowhere" I saw you guys at March a couple months, we showed up a 8 and by 1 we were absolutely cooked we caught the first half of your guys flight before we just couldnt stand it anymore
great tour it would be great to come down from Alberta myself to check out the facility and the school program is cool as I too am an airline pilot from Canada on the 37MAX8 and know the cost involved to get into our line of work. love your channel Juan keep it up Captain David Dyck Flair AIrlines
What would it cost for the Duck Club to get the team for a show? I know private parties can be pretty crazy. Never thought of an air show. I bet the logistics would be difficult.
That's awesome they do that for the kids to help them with their dream. Aviation is expensive and a lot probably wouldn't be able to do it without their help.
Juan should campaign to Boeing to jump seat on one of those 777X demo flights, like at Paris. Would be able to make a great vid and thus good PR. (I want to hear how loud the BANK ANGLE annunciation can possibly get!)
that's some pretty amazing organisation, no messing there, bags of work and so much they give back to the community why is there nothing of this kind in the UK, and if there is its probably so small and led by narrowmindedness, something i cannot be dealing with, and these guys do some amazing work including filming, top gun, incredible stuff, the CGI stuff mentioned is bezar

2500 😅😂
In the Year 2525!
Yep! I remember that! I was an AD in Lemoore and that’s exactly how they were!

The angel flight team saved a relatives life. Eternally greatful for the pilots.

Thank you for your service.
The duck club is Conrad Hilton’s place on the delta and cost a reported 350k to join.
I almost spit my beer out from laughter when hearing that MIG arrived with its guns. Haha.

Would love to have been there when he was approached about his missing tool.
FABULOUS Juan!!! Gr8 vid and FANTASTIC programs!!!
Wow… what a program and opportunity for youth and families in that area.
Great tour, Zippy. Really enjoyed watching this and learning about the operations surrounding the Patriot Jet Team.
Zippy did a great job.
Fabulous Video, one of your BEST. Cory is a terrific dude, bright, quick, experienced, and a great gentleman. Well Done Juan...

In addition to everything else, the Patriots Jet Team also works with the EAA Young Eagles program, for which we are eternally grateful.

Me too! JB is a wealth of information!
Been through the warbirds hanger at Floyd Bennett Field many times and each time it’s like walking into the candy store for the first time. Thanks for the tour.
Great meeting you, and thanks for coming by the hangar. Was fun showing you around.
You are a great aviation ambassador, your company should be proud to have you as one of their drivers.
WOW! Thank you, Juan. This was an awesome video. God bless American
Wow! That's one helluva hangar full of excitement!
Wow, what an amazing STEM program.
The Patriots had an open house in 2015 and it was a great experience to attend. Not sure how often they are open to the public, but well worth experiencing. Great tour Juan! 🛩️
You take us to the most interesting places. Thanks, Juan, Cory Lowell, and Josh Olson.
Man, the cool stuff you find in hangars at out of the way airports. 😍
Wow how cool was that video
Outstanding coverage Juan!
Thanks to all of the Angel Flight pilots and the awesome stuff the Patriots are doing too.
Wow...somebody has big bucks for this operation...A Most Excellent Episode Juan !!
I got a ride in N339DH, which apparently is now Patriots #3, for my 5th Wedding by its owner at the time in Lock Haven, PA. It was quite a ride, would love to do it again sometime.
Man, what a cool place. Thanks for the tour Juan!
Very informative. Sometimes you realize you have no idea of what you don’t know. Amazing.
Excellent coverage Juan B! Thank you. Cheers from Texas.
Byron is kinda in the middle between San Jose and Stockton…I would have expected this to be on the outskirts of a large city.
Very interesting and it sounds like a gem of a program.
What a tour. Praise God for Angel Flight!
Praise GOD for whom all blessings ... FLYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Interesting to see the special planes for filming other planes in flight. I am glad to hear that they were using these planes with some CGI overlays instead of using real fighter jets.
Juan, very cool. Your touring some great places! How do I become a summer intern at Blancolirio??
Would like to see a breakdown video of the Delta landing gear emergency landing in CLT last week!
What a great tour!! Thanks, Juan!
Amazing video…thanks Juan.
Nice tour. I like how you are giving coverage to these organizations as well as spending time with the up and coming pilots. Thank you.
Once again, Juan taking many of us, places we might never have seen, otherwise. Thanks Juan!
Happy 4th of July America/Everyone!
Awesome tour thanks for your time

WAY too much information!😂
@@bigjeff1291 As Mav said, don't think, just doo.
What yhese guys do is amazing and what you do too Juan is equally amazing. Thank you
Very good to see the STEM involvement to interest young people in aviation now that the FAA has crushed the R/C flying hobby.
What a fabulous place! Thanks for the tour.
Awesome tour.
I just heard about Angel Flight in this video. Truly appreciate that mission. And 💯 amazing!
I saw them perform down in Lemoore a couple of years ago. I think they put on a better show than the Blues did.
The Patriot Pilots have the same experience as the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds if you read their Resumes.
@@sanfranciscobay I am aware of that. I have a friend that volunteers with the Patriots and took me on a tour of their hanger and the Byron airport. It is fascinating what they do. The free training program is assume. I wish I was in high school.
Great video. I didn't know about the L-9 flying team. They are doing good things promoting aviation.
What a nice video, lots of interesting and useful information. Thank you Juan
Awesome video Juan!
Juan, are you coming to EAA this year? what are your public plans if you are?
Are they coming for a Farewell visit to Reno in September - PLEASE?!?!

"Most airshows are super hot, in the middle of nowhere"
I saw you guys at March a couple months, we showed up a 8 and by 1 we were absolutely cooked we caught the first half of your guys flight before we just couldnt stand it anymore
Juan, it is amazing! Maybe you can be the next Huell Howser. Travel up and down the state reporting on various and sundry items. Thank you.
Very cool, Brownie. I can tell you guys are diggin' it.

Captain David Dyck Flair AIrlines
What a great organization!
Thanks Juan.
He's the same age as I was when I first got my solo license Way Back in 1971
What would it cost for the Duck Club to get the team for a show? I know private parties can be pretty crazy. Never thought of an air show. I bet the logistics would be difficult.
This is so interesting. Do they have visiting days where the public can tour the facility?
Dave, no regular tour days, but if you stop by someone is usually working and will let you in.
You're a great bloke Juan, keep at it mate.
Love to see you flying one and doing some tricks
Very informative video!!!❤
Another great video
Great Video? It just started You haven't watched it yet.
Wait a minute thats not the glass panel jet....this one is!!!! Lmao! Patriots kill the game! So cool!
You are super to follow!
Now those L-39 jets at Patriot sure do look nice to fly.
That's awesome they do that for the kids to help them with their dream. Aviation is expensive and a lot probably wouldn't be able to do it without their help.
That was very interesting although being from Switzerland I have nothing to do with any of this. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! Thanks for putting this together. (Stellant needs to raise the bar on their shoulder patch! LOL)
I found this presentation quite interesting and learned a lot. I’d love to be part of that organization. Thank you very much Juan.
Yay a field trip on the 4th of July 😊 ❤
Just have to say, my BIL is the original “designer” of the Top Gun Maverick jet. It all started on paper. He is a top designer at Lockheed Martin.
Thanks. I'd enjoy seeing the Husky ride with David!
Love the end.
GREAT video JB!! Unfortunately I can't make Oshkosh this year, but I'll be watching on RUclips

JUAN,HELLO
Too bad they can’t do the last Reno air race in september
Excellent!
Great tour and Great organizations………..
Juan - YOU NEED AN ACTION FIGURE !!!!
Best report ever!
Juan should campaign to Boeing to jump seat on one of those 777X demo flights, like at Paris. Would be able to make a great vid and thus good PR. (I want to hear how loud the BANK ANGLE annunciation can possibly get!)
Keven LaRosa is one of the top aerial film pilots in the business.
I'm confused. Is that the New England patriots logo? Does Robert Kraft own that jet??
that's some pretty amazing organisation, no messing there, bags of work and so much they give back to the community
why is there nothing of this kind in the UK, and if there is its probably so small and led by narrowmindedness, something i cannot be dealing with, and these guys do some amazing work including filming, top gun, incredible stuff, the CGI stuff mentioned is bezar
G-day from Australia I hope you enjoyed your Hurley Match in Dublin I from just up the road there. Cheers Mate 🫶✌️👍🇺🇸
