Flying New Dassault Falcon 6X - TransAtlantic to Paris

- At the end of NBAA 2022, I hopped on the new experimental Dassault Falcon 6X, the latest Falcon jet transatlantic from Orlando to Paris. It was my first time flying on a private jet across the Atlantic and what an experience it was!
The Falcon 6X is in a new category of Business Aviation: the Ultra Widebody business jet. It flies at a top speed of Mach 0.90 and has 5,500nm (10,186 km) range. My flight to Paris was an 8 hours overnight flight. We used just 4,500 ft of runway out of Orlando Executive Airport.
The aircraft was extremely quiet with a cabin altitude of just 3,900 ft which is much lower than commercial aircraft. On this factory demonstrator, the rear sofa on each side can turn into a huge super king bed. I experienced a good night of sleep and watched the sunrise in bed with breakfast at 47,000 ft. Enough said for the private jet experience.
3 years ago at Paris Airshow 2019, I saw the Falcon 6X mock-up and today I have flown on the jet itself. The Dassault Falcon 6X is expected to be certified in 2023 and so far 19 examples have been built.

She should look familiar as she was the hostess on the Falcon 8X that Sam rode on 5 years ago (3/9/2018).
I had the opportunity to fly with Catherine, Didier, and Nicolas 2 days ago (February 28, 2024), as part of their world tour aboard the Dassault Falcon 6X. The aircraft and crew were exceptional, providing an unparalleled level of professionalism and service, which I found to be a truly remarkable experience, representing 7 Star service.
Not only highly professional, but charming and really beautiful. Catherine is exceptional.

@ 2:30 Miles O'Brien is a SUPERSTAR⭐️ I remember him from his many years on CNN & PBS! He was also the presenter for the rollout of the Falcon 6X two years before this flight.

Always love a Sam Chui video first thing on a Saturday morning. Great to see Miles O'Brien, a great representative of aviation and science for decades. The technology on these jets is fantastic. There is certainly a trickle down effect in terms of technology for private pilots.

As a private jet pilot, I find it so cringe when people get all egotistical and excited to fly in a private jet. As if they're saying "eff you peasants look at me". Uhm. No. Your just a passenger and have no idea what's going on. Your not flying and this is not your flight, it's my flight and your just in the back.
What a beautifull plane Sam Chui! Yeah i can't forget the first time i was in a private jet myself too, the takeoff experience is a lot more exiting then on the big jet and the experience inside is the very best. As allways thanks for letting us be part of your air adventures!

Dassault is miles behind everyone else. They have the smallest cabin currently. They have the slowest airplane. They have the shortest range. How can they be ahead? They have nothing to compete with the G700 or the Global 7500. I love Dassault but I know they are not leading the industry in any category.
Compare it with the ACJ220 before you say Dassault is ahead of the others. ACJ is the way to go.
@@musmuk5350 acj is not even a purpose built bizjet. You can't compare them. The ACj can't fit in many smaller airports. It's significantly slower and lower than flagship bizjets. There is a reason they don't sell many ACJs or BBjs compared to purpose built craft

As far as I know, only D’assault offered to cover an actual haul long flight with its staff and with an actual private jet flight experience with an attendant, meals, bed actual experience. I really appreciated that. Good initiative Dassault and good job Sam.

I just searched the range of *Dassault Falcon 6x,* and it turns out, this plane can fly with a range of 10,186 km, which is *almost* the same range as an B767 BBJ or an ACJ-330... 🤯
ACJ 330 has a range of 10,000 NM vs the 6X with a range of 5600 NM. The 6X has about the same range as the ACJ 220, maybe you meant that. The 6X flies higher and faster with a lower cabin altitude though.
