I bought an Alpha 3 for my Bonanza about a year ago and I love it, best money I’ve spent. Paxton treated me right, I had a lock pin for an adapter that didn’t make the shipping trip and within a couple days I had the one I was missing plus two extra. Can’t say enough about Best Tugs, great dealing with them and I highly recommend.
Having worked as a production manager and then a project manager and finally a purchasing manager for a large scale company, I can really appreciate the thought and effort that went into this layout of the shop and how it functions. Especially the part when a mistake is found it gets sent back to the guy who made the mistake so he can correct it and learn from his mistakes. Just an amazing glimpse into how an efficient production company should run. Thanks Dan and Mark. Obviously there is much more to the Patey's than just a shiny head. So impressive.

Mark....you are a superman! I am so impressed of your knowledge and deep understanding of all aspects of Best Tugs. You are a shining example of what an American Manufacturer is. I wish you continued success and happiness!
I don't need a tug and I can't afford one but I wish I could buy one from Best Tug just to support a fantastic American company, ran by great Americans, who put quality and customer service above the dollar. Great job.
Funny coincidence. I was looking at Best Tugs website last night and the used tugs they had, as well as all the new product they're manufacturing. I can see why owning a Best Tugs is on your wish list, Dan!
Thanks for the tour Dan and Mark! I purchased a B 5 for my Cirrus last year from Paxton and must say, my fun level for flying went up a bunch just because of the ease and safety of moving my plane. Oh, and the older I get, the heavier the plane seems to be LOL.

Sure the Best Tugs are expensive. But so is back surgery. I got an Alpha 2 and love it. With my cub on 31’s with four pounds in the tires and 48 gallons of fuel in the tanks, it’s all I can do to move it. That little thing can push it up hill on wet grass. It’s great!
Interesting video, thanks. I'd be curious to see a few of the model tugs at work out on the tarmac. Show how they move, connect, operate, disconnect, load into a plane- all the things you buy one for. Thanks.
Great video and a very impressive organization! I would love to be an engineer there. :) I really appreciate that everything is made in house, and the extraordinary quality checks they use on all their tugs.
Don’t know if mark reads these but on 182 group somebody asking about tugs. While I love my best tug, batteries were destroyed by accidentally leaving switch on. Customer Service excellent but you desperately need a protective circuit to turn off when accidentally left on. First question from potential buyer was about batteries. Please FIX it. The product is too excellent to have a flaw like destroying batteries if you leave a switch on!
What a valid point!” Growth will kill just as fast if you can’t grow” guess ya have to be all in or watch it implode.. who wants to run all day when ya could walk..
Amazing, but even more amazing was Mike's video talking about how when they were in the decking business, they made sure to exceed every customer's expectations by 2% -- even the gnarly, obnoxious difficult one.
Nice try on guilting Mark to gift you a Best Tug... It could've worked, but I think you played it too forcefully. That is, unless he gave you one of those refurbs on the low.
Boeing used to have Profitless Prosperity. That means they sold a ton of aircraft, struggled to keep up, yet almost lost their shirts in that. That being said, going LEAN was the best thing they ever did. It looks as if, while a great machining capacity will help, moving assembly lines would be of a great help, also. FYI, Boeing uses a moving line for the 737 Final Assembly Project.
