Fortunately, I put my drink down as you started to play the song... I knew what was coming 😆 No Christmas is complete without playing this song one time.
It was done on The Johnboy and Billy Big show,I used to studder so bad when I was a kid and it doesn't bother me a bit! As a matter of fact I'm glad I look back and smile about it 👊😉
Many people know this as the "Porky Pig" version of Blue Christmas. The vocalist on this recording is none other than Dennis (Denny) Brownlee. The recording started with two DJ's named John Boy and Billy. John suggested Denny record a Christmas song, and they decided to record Denny singing in the style of Porky Pig. After the record started getting airplay locally, it took off and sold a few thousand copies. Fast forward almost 3 decades and the song is both revered and hated all over the internet. Released by Seymour Swine And The Squeelers.
March 31 2019 ,southern Ontario Canada . woke up to lovely snow on the ground . started singing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ", eventually ended up here watching your great vids . I have been playing this song for years ( all year long ) when I need a gutbuster . This could not have been a coincidence . God keep you safe . Thank you
It's so refreshing watching you and the love for what you do. From my family to yours may GOD bless you in this coming year. Anyone that knows you has a fine person knows you would never do anything to hurt someone. Happy New year
Yes, yes, yes! (Does that count as 3 votes?) Ray did at least two versions of this Christmas classic and I'd love your reaction to one or both: 1962 version: (ruclips.net/video/tndDcbIzEfA/видео.html) 1985 version: (ruclips.net/video/mER2fGuSqF8/видео.html) And remember..."Be careful what you say and do...'Cause Santa Claus is watchin' you."
This song, Dominic the Donkey, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, and Crabs For Christmas, are staples in my family. Oh and Straight No Chaser's 12 Days of Christmas is great too. Crabs For Christmas is popular in my home state of Maryland.
If I remember correctly, there was a DJ duo named John Boy and Billy ( Similar to Hudson and Landry) who would at Christmas time would tell there audience to send in there version of their favorite Christmas songs ( nothing lude or vulgar or swearing) And they received this. The rest is history. It's become one the favorite of the parody songs.
Brother, I smiled when I first saw the cartoon , but when you started laughing I started laughing so hard I almost pissed myself...bidi bid ibidi , bidi thanks for your bidi bid ibidi post😂😂😂👍
I loved this song when I was a kid. Because we loved Porky Pig. Not because he stuttered or because he was fat or because he was pink. We loved him because he was Porky Pig and he was cute and funny. lol You know, there was a loveable country music star that stuttered, really bad. But not when he sang. he had a beautiful voice and was very gifted.
It was also put out under the band by name of Seymore Swine an the Squealers. Was original played on late night radio. I first heard it when I was a truck driver on the late Truckin' Bozo Show on XM SatelliteRadio. He also had a show during the overnight radio out of the state of Ohio. That was way before my time. Ask the person who goes by the name Hollywood if he use to drive a truck. I met him on one of the Truckin Bozo cruises & always cracked up when he called in and talked to the Bozo. They went way back & had great stories & jokes to tell.
The first time I heard this it was shortly after Mel Blanc had died & his son Noel had taken over a lot of his characters. Noel was doing a radio interview & it was around Christmas & he said something along the line of “you wanna hear Porky Pig sing Blue Christmas” & he started playing the guitar & singing Now it’s not really Christmas until I hear Porky sing. Keeping with the Christmas spirit, I recommend “all I want for Christmas is a hippopotamus”.
Recorded for the John Boy & Billy morning show by Denny Brownlee, under the name Seymour Swine and the Squeelers. There's a video on Denny's channel with a special appearance by Seymour. :-D
My favorite Christmas song from when I was a kid is called 12 pains of Christmas! I also love the 12 days of Christmas and Christmas Can-Can by Straight No Chaser
All through high school every single Sunday night I listened to "the doctor demento show" on kmet. Then my high school did a"sock-hop" 50's dance. Dr. Demento hosted and I was right behind him for the bunny hop!!!😆😁🤩
I'm so glad you reacted to this. I think this is one the favorites out of the ones you've done. I've rewatched your reaction 5 times already. I still laugh.
Dude, one of my gee tree at friends has stuttered all his life. Every time he hears this his damn face falls off laughing just as hard as I do. It’s Porky Pig man!! Epic!!🤣🤣🤣
Lol Man, I don't think I've heard this one since I as a child during the 90's. I must've heard it on the radio. We used to listen to those stations often while driving to and from our hunting locations and cleaning deer in my grandparent's barn around this time of year.
It was heartwarming to see someone have a true reaction to the hilarity of this cartoon. And no "politically correct" reaction. I hope you are enjoying the best of the Holidays!
Dude, one of my great friends has stuttered all his life. Every time he hears this his damn face falls off laughing just as hard as I do. It’s Porky Pig man!! Epic!!
Danette Bumgarner that was the show! I couldn’t remember which radio show I had heard it on. They were interviewing Noel Blanc & talking to him about taking over his father’s characters after Mel died & he sang this song for them live on the air & of course they recorded it & played it every year & sold it to other shows to play
I believe they got sued for releasing it by whoever owned the rights to Porky! I think it was Warner Bros! They made mention of it some years back! Might have even been Elvis estate that sued them! But they did get in trouble for this song!
@@invisigoth510 You're close. JohnBoy & Billy yes. Noel Blanc, no. JB&B did sell a version of the song on their Christmas album, but not to other shows. The original just kept getting passed along and went everywhere. I sang it for their show - check out - ruclips.net/video/w1uHiT33jkA/видео.html Merry Christmas!
John Boy and Billy. From Charlotte NC. That's John Boy laughing in back ground..lol. first time heard this was as a child in early 80s. My Mama and Daddy laughed so hard. And for yrs we would tune in to 99.7 The FOX every Christmas hoping hear it on The John Boy and Billy Show 😁🤣🤣

Glad you think so!
I’ve watched hundreds of your reactions and I’ve never ever seen you have more fun and laughs
You need to see the original black and white version, especially when the fly/been flies in 😅😅😅
Done by Seymour and the Squealers, novelty song from this band from, South Carolina, I believe. Best Christmas song ever made! Too funny!!
Up your kazoo, never fails to make you laugh. Brilliant.
This is my favorite version of Blue Christmas! Your reaction made my night. I think it was done by Mel Blanc who voiced Porky in the cartoons. 😆
It wasn’t Mel Blanc singing this, but it would have been even funnier if it was him.
It was done on The Johnboy and Billy Big show,I used to studder so bad when I was a kid and it doesn't bother me a bit! As a matter of fact I'm glad I look back and smile about it 👊😉

Denny never gets the recognition he deserves for this song! I'm not a fan of most Christmas parody songs, but this one makes me laugh every time!
I stutter sometimes and I was laughing at it
I needed a good laugh right about now. :D Thanks.
That was from "Semore Swine and the Squealers". I first heard this version more than 30 years ago! I love it, too.
Ty, thanks for abb-dda-bda-b-doing this one. I'd bdu-bdee-bdooo-beeboo forgotten all abdow-bdee-bdoo-bow-about this song. 😁
Hysterical! I'm sharing it on my Facebook page!

Man ANYTIME I feel low..this just does it for me. The crowd is a throwback.
One of the legends of country music, Mel Tillis, had a very powerful stutter--but never when he sang.
I’m 62 and this has ALWAYS been my personal favorite!! Now it’s yours too huh?😁
